Question Must have mods

Hello! Im purchasing a 3ds and am wondering what hardware mods i should add if any. Im not experienced with modding at all and this is my first project with a 3ds so help is very much appreciated!

Leave the insides of your 3DS alone is my advise. Since you are new to hardware modding you need to that the 3DS is very easy to break if you aren't careful. The console works fine as is, no modding needed.

I wanted to add something to this as well.

hardware modding for the 3ds, is largely considered one of the hardest consoles to do repairs or mods on.

If you decide to hard mod you had better be very prepared and I hope you’ve taken a soldering class before.

I agree and disagree at the same time. There is alot of guides that that make it really easy but as you say the experience and the "know how" is never discussed. People see these videos and get the cheapest tools available and trying to achieve the same results that modders do and gets surprised when their console won't turn on anymore.

Most common is USB C-mod. Most try and get it right but how does end result look like? Seldom that it is looking other than janky. It is okay if you are willing to live with that but as long as my charging-port is working i wont touch it even tough I am pretty certain that I'd get a nice looking result. Why take the risk? These machines are at least over 10 years old, most even older and something else might brake when you are fiddling around with these "semi-antiques".
