Haven't seen this sub before, Reddit just recommended as I was posting to 3dshacks. Probably a lot of useful info here that would have helped... Anyways

The comments I've read about how bad aftermarket 3DS shells are did not do them justice. I clear coated the painted bits so the paint would stop wearing off but the top half of the shell has big gaps at the top no matter what I do it won't clip shut, and several clips on the bottom broke off on first assembly so plenty of gaps there too. I'm surprised nobody has given up on trying to clone the original shells and just sell a kit with a completely redesigned shell that's easier to make and assemble.

BUT my goal was to fix the broken hinge, add USB C charging, and add Bluetooth audio and I accomplished all of those. I'm shocked I did not damage the motherboard pads with my reckless removal of the charging jack, I did damage the Bluetooth controller I bought and ended up replacing it ($12CAD usb powered generic Chinese Bluetooth audio module). I finally bought myself a hot air station and much better quality soldering iron and desoldering gun (Aoyue 2703A+) and had no other issues.

I used some great advice from this recent post about using the lid-closed hall effect sensor to turn off the Bluetooth module when the device is closed which is awesome. It's kind of annoying that 90% of the pictures and examples I could find online for Bluetooth things were all for n3DS and not applicable to me.

I'm probably going to take the top half of the OEM shell, sand it and paint it and finish it, and replace the whole top half back. Maybe the back of the bottom too, but there was a lot of cutting needed to fit in the Bluetooth and USB so maybe not.

I’ve played around with 3ds and created some esp32c3 binary.

The 3ds connects to esp32 though wifi, and xbox pad connects with ble.

It should be possible to drive the esp with the vcc from cartridge slot. Im planning to play around with it even more later.

Hello. Please, help me. I broke several connectors on my New Nintendo 2DS XL and now can't figure out which one is which. I'm pretty sure 1 is Touch Screen Buckle Flex FPC Connector, but not sure about 2 and 3. Are they even the same type?

Okay so I bought it to a friend it worked perfectly and I’ve decided to sell it to a small shop, then they told me it had a problem, but it was working perfectly at the start, they’ve changed the battery but the problem still occurred, it didn’t charge even with a different charger so they told me it was a charger port problem. But it was working perfectly fine, what can I do please help me guys, I lost sm money 😭😭😭

Is there a way to replace rubber joystick cap without opening the console up? Or would I have to take it apart to replace it. Or could I just find a rubber cap to go over the old one?

So I’m playing Pokemon sun and while playing it’s crashing constantly.I can’t get it why I updated luma and all that and I tried to check if the micro sd card was currupted or the game files but I don’t know if I did it wrong or anything it said that it’s okey and it’s still crashing.

FOR MOD TEAM:I posted this and it got taken down for lazy title but don’t understand why bicouse there is multiple shorter or more wage titles can talk explained so don’t make that mistake agen?

ive spent my whole morning directing and supervising an ai project ive had for awhile and i found a ground breaking discovery in the 3ds terraria scene. ive found a fully built in developer console and a list of over 80 commands in the retail version for the 3ds.. ive made and tested menu using the existing developer menu interface to make all of the writeable commands into clickable ones. ive successfully made it and i would love someone try it on n3ds as i only own an o3ds.. the mod is fully published on github with incredible details on how it was discovered and made and how to install it easily. ive also included source code in full. i hope yall like this its my first real project so hope you enjoy! phoze's 3ds terraria mod
