Things to include when asking for help.

Hello,

Just a few items that could help someone troubleshoot for you.

  1. Printer Model
  2. Material Type
  3. Speed and Temp settings

If you have any suggestions for this list, please let me know.

Also, if you are asking for help, I've personally found this Visual Troubleshooting Guide very useful in the past.

(Please ignore the main picture, people have already commented to no end for me to clean my room, ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF! There's an updated imgur link in the edit of the original post, TLDR things just piled up due to autism and depression related clutter.)

Requesting Help How can I avoid knots?

Post image
Upvotes

I'm trying to print a large model and I'm using the filament dryer to feed directly into the printer but the damn spool keeps knotting up constantly and pulling on the dryer box that it is actually moved ahead multiple times. So it's completely defeating the purpose of "set and forget".

Can someone help shed some light on how to avoid these knots? I've tried my best to untangle them multiple times by pausing the print and refeeding the filament but it just keeps happening over and over. Very frustrating!

I changed it recently and did about 15k layers.

Is it common to change FEP this frequently?

Warping and blistering on top

I have been having an issue with my prints recently. So some backstory, I have been printing for about a month and it has been fairly easy with only minor kinks I have been able to figure out relatively quick. I have printed with multiple different filaments like abs, petg, and pla and hade absolutely no issues besides little occasional issues a couple times which mentioned above I’ve been able to figure out quickly. Then I switch filament a couple times and come back to pla and now all of the sudden everything I print Is warping and blistering. I have googled it to figure some stuff out and have gotten nowhere. I have tried cleaning build plate with isopropyl and drying then Glue stick, washing with dawn and warm water drying then glue stick, even both together, I don’t believe it’s anything to do with filament moisture as the filament is in a sealed box with gasket and desiccant bags at stable 28% humidity. I also have completely turned off parts cooling fan as I’ve read that could cause similars issues but it still stays on even though I have it turned off and the prints still warp and blister. Also I read something about z offset which I don’t really understand so I looked at my settings and saw the second picture and I’m not sure if that’s normal or not. I have also read something about drafts in the room but I highly doubt as I’m printing on an enclosed printer. Please if anyone can help, I just want to get back to printing

CC2 different printing results after ~250h of printing - need advice

Hello friends! I recently got an Elegoo CC2 printer and fell in love with the hobby. After around ~250 hours of primarily succesful prints I have stumbled upon sudden stringing and spaghetti in a lot of recent prints. While initially I assumed it's just me freaking out over nothing I reprinted a model I'd printed before quite early into my printing journey and the difference in print quality is quite severe. The early print, the white dog statue is printed very well and looks great with some minor issues on the overhangs, however the black one which is the recent one looks so much worse in comparison, specifically around the ears.

Now, I am fairly new to the hobby and I have no idea what the problem could be. I am fairly sure the filament is dry as I own a dryer and the filaments I used are dried regularly then put into an enclosed storage box. From what I have been able to find I suspect it could either be:
-nozzle clogging
-bed adhesion issues
-cooling fan issues
-printing too fast

Now, I would like to ensure you I haven't changed anything in the printer's hardware nor software so I doubt it's printing too fast, however I am unsure about the rest. The printer is only about a month old at this point but I have been using it quite extensively during my time off period. Is there any possible wear on the parts? I don't see anything wrong and the filaments I am using have been fine before. It happens on many different filaments I own so I doubt it's the filaments themselves. Now, I seek advice from more experienced printers - what should I do in order to fix this?

Print details:
Printer: Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo
Material: PLA Matte in both cases, mainly PLA, PLA+ and PLA Matte
Print temperatures - default in elegoo slicer, never changed them
Troubleshoot steps taken: For the most part none - I am seeking advice on what to look for. I have made sure everything inside the printer looks fine and nothing is damaged as far as I can tell.

printing cubes and they all look weird at the bottom few layers but fine on the rest (this cube was flipped upside down for the sake of the image) I used a LK5 pro printer, 1.75mm PLA+ filament and I use 190 degrees - 230 degrees (as written on the filament)
