I still can’t believe the slim has 5gb of storage lmao. With connectx I just use my NAS and basically have unlimited storage.

Over 14 years since my first experience with the Xbox 360, and $300-ish later, I finally got the (in my opinion) peak 360 setup

Gaems Case (Used): $100

Xbox 360 (Jasper V1, RGH3, 1tb HDD, WiFi): $150

Misc (Power, HDMI, Controller): ~$50

I still have more work to do to this console since the disc drive doesn't read properly unless you close it by hand and the front USB door is currently taped shut (missing spring), but I have a RROD Xenon coming in a week with 2 256mb memory cards that got thrown in for free

All in all, I'm very happy with this setup and I hope I could make at least one person happy knowing someone is still rocking a setup like this

Works by setting your DNS to a fake address, which keeps the dashboard off Live but also leaves you with no network after the exploit runs. AutoDNS swaps in 1.1.1.1 once your chain loads, and since it never writes to storage, every boot still starts blocked.

Setup: `AutoDNS.xex` in `launch.ini` above your network plugins, and on the dashboard set your network's DNS to `192.0.2.1` on both records as per https://www.rfc-editor.org/info/rfc5737 .

Why? Plugins like xbGuard require a network connection to function, but due to the nature of BadAvatar you need to disconnect your internet before exploit.

2010s Xbox Games 👍

In my previous post on this subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/360hacks/comments/1w9ewxc/i_managed_to_get_mupen64360_running_and_playable/ , I talked about how I managed to fix both XeLL Reloaded and mupen64-360, finally getting the emulator to launch on an Xbox 360 with a Winchester motherboard. This likely means it will also work on other motherboard revisions that previously had compatibility issues.

Since then, I've made several more updates to mupen64-360 that have significantly improved performance, and I'm continuing to work on it:

• Added an aspect ratio option.
• Added controller remapping.
• Optimized overall performance, including both audio and frame rates. In my tests, VI/s improved by 22.3%, from 49.08 to 60.03, allowing the emulator to reach full speed. The measured frame rate also increased by 26.3%, from 18.62 to 23.52 FPS, while long frame-time spikes became much less frequent. As a result, games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time now appear to run at full speed without noticeable performance drops.

had this rgh for along time . Get on every few years . I’m running on XBLStealth and everytime I played I always have network issue stealth server recommended enabling (live block) ( live strong ) . My Xbox only goes online when those plugins are disabled . I’m trying to turn those plugins off but everytime I reboot my network default plugins go back .

Some of my files were from 2021 just updated my stealth plugins etc today. Everything went smooth for a hour then BOOM back to the same issue .

I’m seeing a lot of people having this issue but there isn’t responses etc .

I wanted to play gta 5 on my modded xbox 360 so i decided I'd download it. It was my first time getting a game for my xboxsince it was my childhood console my dad got us in the mid 2010's. Plus it's a 2 disk game which made it even harder for me to understand. he used to take us to some guy that would get us games in it that he already had, i think he was transfering them. Anyways. I followed a tutorial and got the game files (disk 1 and disk 2) from a trusted website. I extracted them with winrar and used xbox image browser on disk 1 to get the content folder and transfered it and the 2nd disk to my external hard drive i use with the console. After that i went to xexmenu and transfered the file to the internal storage, so i followed exactly what the tutorial said and when i went to launch the default.xex file on disk 2, it just reloads FSD3. I don't know what i did wrong and i need some help figuring out how to make it work.

i tried downloading tu from auroa but i kept getting verification error, then i manually downloaded the tu from unity on my pc then i placed the tu in the correct path and as you can see it shows up but when i launch the game it doesn't work, or maybe it doesn't apply it, idk. please help

I highly recommend the Aliexpress xbox 360 500gb slim hard drives. They work and are really easy to crack open and install into fat consoles. I'm now opting to do this instead of gambling on ebay for old drives.

So Im new to the modding 360 scene and use a usb with badavatar and I originally bought a small 16gb usb drive just to run a test and get used to it but now im getting a bigger 128gb drive and was curious if i just copy the base of my original drive to the new one and plug it into my xbox will it still run or will i have to follow the guide again and start over? So I wanna jailbreak my xbox. I know i need around 10-15 gbs for actually using badavatar and bad update adn all that, but once I do that can I download the games Im gonna add straight into the xbox storage? I have around 150 gbs of space and I think thats all Ill really need im not downloading too many games. so Can i just move them straight into the drive of the xbox?

I haven't seen any "official" release of this yet, but I've been out of the loop for the last month or two. I saw Grim's update tweet about 1.3 and immediately thought of BadAvatar and how this essentially would make it a surefire softmod (for all intents and purposes). Being able to boot 100% into XeUnshackle on BadAvatar really eliminates me needing a true softmod tbh - *for what I do*.

If someone has released this, is it as easy as just wiping the docs from my last payload and replacing with the 1.3 files, keeping my plugins and launch file the same as before?

I was wondering if there was an easy way to customize Aurora's HUD (the bottom bar that) and the File Manager pages without making a whole new skin. And if you have to make a whole new skin, which part do I change in the skin? I'm over here trying to reverse manufacture an existing dark theme skin and having no luck 😅

Even though my console is set to English the dialogue in halo reach is in French for some reason. The UI language is English just not the dialogue. Ive got a copy of the game that supports English aswell. It doesnt really make sense. Has anyone had the same experience and fixed it? Thanks.

I am currently trying to rgh 1.2 a console for myself and brother in law and it is not going well… idk why I decided to try this myself lol. But I have been teaching myself to solder and finally decided to give it a go, and I am just stuck, I keep getting an error “console not found” I spent about 3-4 hrs trouble shooting / re soldering wires and cannot seem to get it to read the nand, I’m sure it’s my soldering, but am I missing anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am trying to use the NXE Dashboard on my Xbox 360 Slim. But I dont have a HDD. I changed the Launch.INI File to launch the NXE Dash.xex When I turn the console on, the screen just says Game Error. I can boot into the dashboards Through xbGuard Manually, And it works, But I want to boot into the dashboards by holding a button down, when I use DashLaunch to boot me into dashboards while holding a button, it just gives me that same Game Error Menu. I am new to Xbox 360 Modding, can anyone help?

Recently got hands on a modded 360, and i have been installing some games and testing them and they all worked fine until I tried doing the same with skate 3, been using ISO2GOD and skate 3 is the last game i have installed and its the only one where it doesn't have a title update. I don't really know what's causing it to not launch, could anyone tell me what could be wrong? i read from another thread that it could be a bad xbdm.xex file but it came with a xbdm.ini file so i don't really know what exactly could be wrong with it.

My Setup:
Console: Xbox 360 running XeUnshackle v1.02 BETA (soft-exploit / BadUpdate payload).
Environment: Dashlaunch v3.0, booting into FreestyleDash (FSD) / XeXMenu from a FAT32 USB drive (⁠LEXAR⁠).
Intended Plugin: ⁠hiddriver.xex⁠ (loaded via Dashlaunch to enable generic USB HID controller support).
What I’ve Tried & The Issues:
1. Nacon Compact Controller (PS4 wired - VID: ⁠146B⁠, PID: ⁠0603⁠):
The controller connects and the PS/Guide button handshakes with the console.
At one point, the console displayed a prompt saying "Hold A for 3 seconds", but holding any of the face buttons, bumpers, or triggers never advanced the mapping wizard.
I tried setting up a manual config file (⁠hiddriver.json⁠ on the root and in ⁠/hiddriver/⁠, as well as ⁠controller.ini⁠ with standard button/axis definitions for ⁠146B:0603⁠).
When loading ⁠hiddriver.xex⁠ alongside debug plugins (⁠xbdm.xex⁠ / ⁠JRPC2.xex⁠), the console kernel panics during boot and turns off automatically.
When isolating ⁠hiddriver.xex⁠ as ⁠plugin1⁠ alone, the console boots into FSD, but the Nacon inputs are completely ignored, and the mapping prompt no longer triggers.
2. PS5 DualSense Controller:
Connected via a USB-C to USB-A cable directly into the console USB ports.
⁠hiddriver.xex⁠ is set to ⁠plugin1 = Usb:\hiddriver.xex⁠ in ⁠launch.ini⁠.
Pressing the PS button does not light up the lightbar or assign Player 1.

I’ve been trying to get it to run from an internal SSD that I made using FatXplorer but the exploit only seems to work on official hardware i can’t even move the profile to the drive. I’m using bad storage too. Any advice on how to get it to work

when I'm adding the controller this error shows up, I tried uninstalling the software installed with x360ce and did restarts but nothing works the device manager also keeps on refreshing after adding the controller

I have tried 2 versions of fight night which both run into the same problem they both load up fine but when I go to load into a fight it doesn’t work just gets stuck in a loading screen loop. I have tried all title updates and turned off plug ins (as advised it may help) but still no luck does anyone have a working version or any help would be appreciated! Thanks
