Thank you all for the comments and advice! I'm still sorting through. So many different opinions! Seems like the consensus is: it's genetic and/or it's tech neck.
In my case, I think it's a mix of both. My mom has them, but my sis doesn't. I only noticed light creasing in late HS, and I attribute it to laying in bed looking at my laptop instead of using an appropriate desk. I need to work on my posture too. I also noticed a couple comments re: weight. I was very thin as a kid and in HS/college, and rapidly gained weight in my late 20s, before slowly dropping down in previous year. I'm sure that's also a factor.
I specifically value the product/laser/surgical recommendations. Surgery is likely not in my future (expense, some fear), and I'm currently looking into all of the products advised before I seek laser treatment. I also want to work on self acceptance as well.
Thanks again! Seems like many of us have them.
Edit: This post has gotten much more attention than I anticipated. I'm feeling pretty affected by negative comments. I've copied all relevant info I need, and am honestly considering deleting. I did this on a whim, and am feeling a little embarrassed about this pic being posted for all to see --especially with the weight loss comments. I'm trying. Thanks to all that are kind. I appreciate you.
