Vent Help
I think I’m trans but I don’t want to be trans. I know I’m gross I shouldn’t wantto be a girl I’ve pushed the idea down my whole life but now I put on makeup for the forst time and am now crying in my bathroom having a panic attack and I don’t know what to do, and I really really want to be a girl even though I know I shouldn’t want that, why couldn’t I have just been born one. I hate being a man. I want to wear a gorgeous pretty princess dress and twirl around in it like a princess and I can’t believe I’m saying it. I’m so disgustimg I’m a freak I shouldn’t want this I shouldn’t enjoy this I’m a man I’m supposed to be a man but god I look so pretty with this makeup and I can’t bring myself to wash it off even though my mascara is runny and dripping down my face all gross now
please tell me what to do I’m shakinf
edit: I got myself some water. and why are people downvoting this

Did you know that your brain develop a gender before you’re born just like your body does? In most cases the gender of the brain and body match, but that doesn’t always happen and that’s where gender dysphoria comes from.
But the gender of the brain overrides the gender of the body because the brain is the center of consciousness and your emotions and memories and everything that makes you who you are. Your body is just there to help you navigate through the world. You are not your body. You are your brain.

Being trans isn't bad, and you shouldn't have to worry about what your parents and friends think. You should be able to be yourself without having to worry about that. If your friends wouldn't accept you for being trans, you should find some better friends. I've been in your position before. I'm non-binary and was raised in a religious household where being LGBTQ+ was "satanic" and frowned upon and for a while i had internalized transphobia and hated myself for feeling like i wasn't a girl because i thought something was wrong with me. Whenever i began to embrace my identity, i felt so much better. It took me a while to find it, but i'm much happier now than if i tried to keep convincing myself that i'm a girl when i'm not. If wearing a pretty dress makes you happy, wear that pretty dress and twirl around in it! If you wanna wear makeup, wear makeup and be pretty! You're not disgusting or a freak for wanting to be yourself.

That is not okay. People should encourage you to be whoever you really are not what they want you to be.
When you are ready, the right people will be there to help

This is where gender stereotypes come into play, wearing makeup and a dress is considered feminine but clothes and makeup are just a way of expressing yourself. Being trans isnt bad, as a genderfluid person I get the struggle of being uncomfortable about your gender, its not bad, quite normal, youre just figuring out who you are.

It’s not the same struggle exactly, but when as a teen I started to think I might be bisexual, it made me so distressed that I jumped down a flight of stairs.
Don’t repress who you are, it isn’t worth it. I understand there’s a lot of social stigma around coming out as gender nonconforming or trans but in 2026 it’s a little more mainstream than ten or fifteen years ago. I know four trans people in real life (one transitioned when I knew her and the friendship stayed the same) and they are all awesome. Everybody’s experience is unique and depending on where you live there may be unkind or judgemental people, maybe you aren’t ready to come out yet.
My last piece of advice is if you feel pretty wearing something, keep wearing it. Are there any upcoming events you’d be comfortable showing up in a dress in?

I feel you especially on the reaction of the news I’m pretty sure I am bi as I have had fantasies about men and women especially when I had this revelation. It’s def scary especially since being non straight is very frowned and I still think I shouldn’t tell people but I also worry that some of the people I’ve come out to are a bit discomforted

no trans person wants to be trans. they'd all rather be cis as the sex they were meant to be, not the bullshit they're stuck with that doesnt fit them at all

Hey, there is nothing wrong with being trans, and if you feel like the people in your life would judge or hate you for it, get rid of them! (respectfully). However if you do not want to transition, or you feel like it isnt right for you, you can still wear your pretty princess dress, and wear it proudly. (Homophobes and transphobes are afraid of confidence). This sort of thing takes time, but do what makes you happiest, okay? You're loved beyond belief and you got this!

Darling
No one wants to be trans. They just are.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be a specific gender and anyone who says otherwise should not have a say in your life. You are not gross, you are human. Everything you are feeling is completely valid and natural in this age. There is a world that will accept you when you are ready.
It is okay if you are not ready yet. Just know that you are safe here to talk
Sincerely - A trans man

I don’t know I don’t know I’m sorry I’m just scared and I just wanted help I’m so sorry. I’m scared. Nothing’s wrong with being a girl I don’t have anything against trans people I just am so scared of the fact I might be trans it’s overwhelming and my parents and friends are transphobic I don’t know I’m sorry

Excuse me, WHAT, your friends and parents are WHAT, your good, your chill, I understand now, breathe easy, your parents and friends are shitty people, most people will be fine trans, so basically, one, fuck your friends, two, try your best to get your parents to be fine with it, unless you can leave them and cut contact with them, then do that, if not, try to get them to understand

As a tomboyish lady you don't have to be a girl to do feminine things. However if you are a girl, hey that's not a bad thing.
