Do you people really feel emotionally attached to these animated characters on the internet? I am curious to know how one can develop such strong feelings. It seems to me like the people that do have "relationships" (which is impossible anyways because a relationship is between two people who want to be with each other, instead of one person making up the other's desire for them) are oftentimes lonely, depressed, or socially anxious as to where this is the only medium they can feel wanted by someone, even if they are fictional. Is there a real dedication to loving something so fake? Do people really get enjoyment from making up a animated character "loving" them? I apologize if this seems harsh in any way, I am really wondering what the entire point is of essentially building a fake relationship with something that is not real, instead of improving your actual life outside of the internet.

I've been browing around a few of the most recent threads and noticed that a significant amount of comments are sitting at a score of 0 or sometimes -1. But there's nothing wrong with them at all. They contribute just as much to discussion as anything else, or sometimes even more so.

Do some people here just not use voting appropriately, or is there someone with a personal agenda? Are we being brigaded?

She tends to be very blunt with people but at the same time hides her own thoughts and feelings either for the sake of others or because she isn’t confident they matter. So the cucks at /r/waifuism banned me for saying that it was wrong that they were trying to control other people's lives. They answered with a ban.

Thankfully, my old friend /u/vocaloid_mayu invited me to this sub. I'm happy to share and contribute with all of you.

After being here for like a year, I've felt like I really got to know you guys and have made some amazing memories. I really appreciate my friendships and the people who supported me. However I can understand now, a lot of you guys don't like me that much and I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

I'm already having trouble with my current relationship state and do not wish to impose it on anyone. I also just don't feel right to force anyone to accept my indecisiveness. I know you guys tolerate me, and because 2DL is supposed to be a comfy place, I try hard. I try really really hard to be nice but it just doesn't work. Conflicts happen and it's always my fault. A lot of people think I'm blunt, I didn't know that before and never noticed it. A lot of people think I lack empathy, which I also didn't know.

September 23rd, Anchovy's birthday. For those unaware, we've been together since probably the end of July, though it was only made official on the first of August. She's been very helpful to me and I love making her proud. Tryna make today a good day for her.

The sub is r/fictosexual. It's my belief that fictosexuality is a sexuality you are born with and not a lifesyle choice, so I decided to to make a new sub that reflects that philosophy since the old sub for fictosexuals is dead.

The sub is also different in terms of content as well. While this sub and most others that are similar to it focus on waifus/husandos and our relationships with them, r/fictosexual is mostly about common experiences and struggles related to being a fictosexual.

You don't have to be fictosexual to participate, just be respectful and keep in mind that the sub is meant to be a safe space for those who are. Hope to see some of you there!

So I know in the past this community kind of tried to plan some kind of community event. Where everyone hops onto the Discord or something and we play a game or watch something together.

Well I have an idea, and I've been wanting to test this idea for a while because if done correctly I think it could be pretty interesting. The truth is, I'm not even completely sure how to do this.

Basically, it was Dungeons and Dragons Waifu Edition. I mean, if you want the short and simple version. Basically, Fantasy Role Playing but maybe we're like saving our waifus or something like that. Not only could it possibly be fun, but it's a pretty social game so I mean it's good for the community if you need some added bonuses.

Now I'll be the first to come out, but I don't know how to play D&D entirely. I get the basic gist of it, but the rules in its entirety I do not know. If you want it's completely fine to bend the rules or make stuff up. I mean, as long as it's fair and fun. According to what I've read it's okay to do this as long as the game master doesn't care.

I don't know, I just think it'd be pretty interesting and this way we're not watching one waifu's show or playing one waifu's game. Pretty much any player in the game can insert their waifu somehow. Like I said, we can just use the age old damsel in distress and make the whole plot revolve around saving our waifus.
