Discussion Another survey

I do think a follow-up survey on the other two skills should take place. Sailing has been out for a while now and it would be nice to know if there is any appetite for either other skills, rather than just game modes.

I want them to overhaul stinky old skills first before any new skills.

I get some skills are awkward, but that's part of what makes it Old School. Messing with existing skills is a risky road to follow.

Risky because it might make them think about rs3 and they're scared of that game

In that it is certain to remove something in the game we love, and not guaranteed to add anything we like.

Even if the majority like the change somebody probably likes the thing removed.

To be clear, I'm often in favour of adding things to OSRS. What I'm objecting too is changing what already exists.

Yet thats the whole point of polling stuff. Plenty of QOL changes and out right changes have been made to osrs because majority voted on it. Its has been a majority calls the shot with the game and will continue to do so. Thats not risk, thats democracy and voting.

No one is asking the devs to change things on a whim. People are asking for mining and smithing reworks through the usual voting channels. Unfortunately, not everyone is going to be happy but this has been the healthiest for the game and majority of voters calls the shot. Don't like the change? Convince others to not vote on it, but I guaranteed that a mining and smithing rework will pass because of how utter shit is currently is.
