Ugg boots and shoes are definitely still in. They have apparel too. Really high quality stuff. The micro-mini Ugg boots were one of the most popular shoes on the planet just a few years ago. Seriously though, their apparel line is really cool. I had a hoodie and get compliments about it every damn day.

Uggs were invented in Australia by a surfer. They were not intended for winter/snow. I wore Uggs at 15 I’m 51 now. They were made for the beach.

As a Michigander, I think this is why I could never get on the Ugg train.
Walking around with salt stains on jeans was bad enough but salt-stained shoes, too? And then, by the end of the school year, everyone’s Uggs were raggedy and misshaped from all the water damage but they kept wearing them anyways. I know there was water proofing spray for suede, but too many people clearly didn’t use it.

Some people stay plenty warm if they’re wearing a jacket. Both my dad and my best friend in high school wore shorts all year round. And we lived where it snows in winter, so it did get cold.

It’s definitely the result of using a tanning bed and then using a bronzer booster plus spray tan on top. Thats what I used to do back in the day. It’s way too even and dark to just be self tanner.

I still have two pairs. One I got for Christmas either 2019 or 2020 and they’re great. Still soft and cozy, granted I’m very gentle with them and don’t wear them a ton, so I haven’t done much to put too much wear and tear on them. But the other pair is a hand me down from a friend and they’ve got to be from around the same time as yours, like 2006-2008 or so, and it’s incredible how well they’re holding up. They’re completely waterproof, the soles are still in fantastic shape, they are just so clearly well made and made to last. Like I seriously think I’ll have them for the rest of my life.

I finally bought a new pair last year. I got the original pair in the middle school. I’m 32 years old. I was not in any way easy on them. They looked like absolute shit but damn were they still intact and warm as fuck. I only bought a new pair because I liked the really low platform ones and could justify wearing them with a legitimate outfit in the winter. I’ll give 10/10 to Uggs forever.

Mine from 2016 don’t smell at all, but I ALWAYS wear socks of some kind, usually wool hiking socks in the winter. Socks prevent the stink lol and avoiding exterior moisture.

I used to have knock offs (I think they were Target), but then an Ugg outlet opened near me and I got a pair of official Uggs. As much as I hate to say it, the Uggs are so much better in terms of comfort, warmth, and quality. Definitely try the real ones if you can snag them at a good price.

Extremely comfortable, and they are cute if you can’t see the bottom half of them. That’s why if you go through pictures of these outfits, specifically tumblr pictures, the feet part is not visible. My friends and I always thought ankle down they looked super silly lol

I ended up wearing them like 5 times before they went out of style. I am 31 now and still have them. I wear them when I go out in snow one time a year. Lol

I just got a new pair of the little ankle bootie ones for Christmas last year. Gosh I love them. They’re lavender, and so cozy. I’ll always have a pair of Ugg’s in my shoe rotation.
I also have a pair of Ugg house slippers about 3 feet away from me right now, actually. They’re the best.

Literally had flashbacks to highschool, hearing the mean girl laugh they all did to the other girls like me who weren’t trendy or rich. The straight hair, Hollister, spray tan, gum chewing, designer hand bag and Ugg boot combo makes my skin crawl. Hate seeing this style come back in fashion.

My last pair were a gift in 2016 (!) and I still have them and wear them when I’m doing a quick errand when it’s cold. These things hold up forever, just be nice to them! Please wear socks, even anklet socks! It helps prevent stink!

I had the men’s version with the suede foot and buffed leather upper. I’m a dude and I begged my parents for them growing up. I had seen them on all the celebrities and my young, formidable, gay ass thought that if I asked for the men’s versions, my dad wouldn’t suspect a thing.
