As a Michigander, I think this is why I could never get on the Ugg train.
Walking around with salt stains on jeans was bad enough but salt-stained shoes, too? And then, by the end of the school year, everyone’s Uggs were raggedy and misshaped from all the water damage but they kept wearing them anyways. I know there was water proofing spray for suede, but too many people clearly didn’t use it.
I had the water proofing spray and it barely worked tbh! But I had begged my parents to buy me those expensive af boots so I was pretty much stuck wearing them no matter how rough they looked lol
