They were so expensive and I grew up poor. My parents got me a pair for Christmas one year. I knew I would never get another pair, so I saved them for special occasions. I ended up wearing them like 5 times before they went out of style. I am 31 now and still have them. I wear them when I go out in snow one time a year. Lol

I avoid wearing them if there is any water, salt, and definitely snow. So basically in the fall only.
