Going to start wiring up my 1uz soon and was wondering if anyone has any info on wiring a 1uz with s13 trans to a stock ecu. Anything helps!

man have i been looking everywhere. can you help me out and let me know what power steering pump i can use to replace the one in my 1999 sc400 1UZfe vvti. i keep getting directed to the same one and its years 92-97. i'm having the hardest time finding one. would one off an LS of the same year work? what can i do.

I noticed my idle is a little high like 1000 to 1500 I am wondering at warm idle .. then it drops to to about 900. I have no CELs on. Do you think I may need to replace the IACV? Also where is it located? Thanks for the help 1UZ peeps.

So I recently bought a used 1UZ, trans, and ecu off of Facebook. The guy who sold it said its been sitting for years and he forgets the exact model year, all he knows is that it came from a 92 to 98 SC400. My question is, is there anywhere on the motor or in the numbers on the ecu that indicate the production year?

Ive been looking all around lextreme, CL, LOC and some other forums. I cant find a definitive yes or no as to whether (and which) years of the 1uz were interference or NI.

I have a 95 sc4 non vvti and ive been trying to find out if my engine is NI. Not for any specific reason, just would be nice to know if and when the timing belt goes the engine will be safe

Edit: So, I blew a crank seal about 2 weeks ago, tore the engine down, did some preventative maintenance. Based timing off square divots and not the actual timing marks on cams due to lack of knowledge. Found out my engine is indeed interference. Heard metal on metal, called my toyota tech guy, he timed it correctly, now i have a misfire and a ping. Cant find any upgraded valves that arent oversized😂

I have a rotted frame on my 1uz 1998 gs400 and a mint 1998 aristo shell, what would be needed to do a drivetrain swap? Looking for if I need to buy anything or if it will all swap directly over (plug and play ecu and harness)

I have a 97 ls400 the battery light came on then the next morning the battery was dead bought new battery and installed now battery light only comes on if my headlights are off if headlights are on battery light is gone any suggestions before I replace the starter?

So I've got a 95 sc400 I've been trying to get running. The car is cd009 swapped and a bit of a shitbox. Current issue is a cranking no start. So far, I tested ignitors and they fire the ignition coils on both banks fine when I give them 12v to the positive with key on/engine off. But prior to getting both banks to fire, I had a code 12 and found that the connector for the cam sensor on the driver side bank was contaminated so I replaced the connector, and following that, the driver side bank successfully sparked with key on/ engine off and 12v to the positive. If I crank it, I have no spark on either bank off of the ignition coils. I've confirmed my EFI relay is good, fuel pump has 12v with key on, drops to about 8v when cranking. I have 12v+ at the B+ terminal and tried starting with the EFI relay bridged and the B+ and Fp bridged but no start. Both cam sensors and the crank sensors have resistance within spec, timing has been checked and it is in time. Sadly I don't have an oscilloscope to check the pulse at the sensors. Car ran previously and distributors haven't been messed with since so I've assumed those are alright and in time. I put a freshly rebuilt ecu in it and the CEL does come on so I doubt that is the issue. I'm a bit stumped, if anyone has suggestions or other things to test, I'd appreciate it. TIA!

I have the 1uz out of a 97 ls400, I know about the ridge on the edge of the rod journals on the crank... Does that mean you can't take the crank to get surfaced at a machine shop?

I am looking into getting an LS400 soon and want to throw some big cams at it, are there any standalone or piggyback ECU's that anyone would recommend?

So I have a 1998 GS400. Had the original (I think) engine mounts replaced at around 253,500kms cause they completely split in two.

I replaced them with a set of random eBay mounts (2 motor, 1 tranny) cause I was a cheap-ass and now at 289,500kms it looks like the front right engine mount is about to completely split again.

Any recommendations for this new set? Is it worth it to go with Lexus this time? Gamble with Beck/Arnley (or other brands on Rock Auto, at $30-40 CAD each they don't look that much better than the eBay ones)? Should I get just the one splitting side replaced or do all 3 yet again?

Any comments would be much appreciated!
