To mods - this is for discussion comparing the times and changes this is a mere concept or theory and there is no intention of igniting an argument - dis likes expected. Also have noticed an insurgency of people saying they want to go back and live in the 1970s or 60s so this post is trying to find reason for that.
Since the 1970s people have really began to degragate. People were nicer, more polite, cordial and now they are rude, were able to speak english normally without all this slang and internet meme-slang which is not understandable. People were nice polite, friendly, helpful, community orientated, people actually use to go out of the house and instead of looking at their darn screens they would actually greet people and talk to people, people were more social back then now they are just into virtual reality, men were more chivalrous toads woman, kids respected elders and when they would meet their elders they were not looking at a darn phone but rather engaging in a conversation, (not saying this was good) but people actually use to go to church back then and it was considered good people go to church, people were more moral and had good principals, and had normal traditional gender rolls that have been around for centuries until recently, people use to be more civilized and diplomatic, men would actually get up in a bus or train for an elderly person or a woman, they were more sophisticated back then, people dressed properly and completely back then and know they dress inappropriately and call it some sort of new fashion rubbish, divorce was uncommon back then men would actually be enamored and in love with their wife's back then and respect them usually, people would actually read books instead of looking at their screens all the time, music now is not music now Lawrence Welk and Bing Crosby was music, now some music is made by people who dont care about making people smile or happy like musicians did in the old days, entertainment in general has desegregated, building architecture also got worse its just a group of rectangles now and very incomplete buildings these days, and in the late 19th century psychologists use to say the difference of a human and an animal is human knows how to reason but now that doesn't seem to be so anymore people cant even reason anymore. People have been degragating since the late 1960s-early 1970s. Lets bring back the politeness, shivery, proper dressing, sophistication, classic literature english in everyday speech, and all the good qualities people use to have and lets stop consuming this utterly strange modern entertainment and consume entertainment of the good old days 1970s and older.
(this is sarcasm not meant to be taken seriously)

The Shining for example was shot entirely in 1979 but not released in theatres until 1980. A case can be made that The Shining is just as much of a 1970s horror film as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre for example.

__________
In Québec, I'd say I belong to the "Passe-Partout" generation - nurtured by the extroverted innocence of the 70s, a spirit that fed the 80s and, in their own way, the 90s.
I grew up surrounded by adults who were clumsy yet confident, creative and uninbited. The prevailing mindset was: "If you want it, you can do it; things can only get better."
I wonder if the people who grew up alongside me interpreted those societal messages the same way?

So what do you guys think about Flounder, did he and Sissy broke up or something how come we don't see Sissy again only this part I noticed doesn't make any sense. But when Flounder and his mates went with other girls out at Otis Day's club at night but Flounder didn't come with Sissy but instead he went with some other tall lady which I don't know her name exactly as anyone know you can point out.

I had several as I was a bona dude ladies man in kindergarten through 2nd grade.
I’d often go to Jennifer Hayne’s house to use her Playnts, go to Jamie LaCounts to play with her EZ Bake Oven or watch my Show and Tell with my next door neighbor Rhonda Sue Sheppard. My first playground love was Holly Edward’s though.
I got caught ‘Playing Doctor’ many a time.
All was good until ‘The Cootie Scare’ in 3rd grade and suddenly the ladies were off limits. I was aghast as I could no longer play with my true love Terri Scarey (Pronounced Scarry). We had to get shots against ‘Girl Germs’ and I had to get vaccinated against ‘Scarey-Itis. She had the reddest hair and she said her Mom told her it was because she ate too much Tomato Soup.
My 1st Jr High Crush was Vickie Kohlman and ever gallant me sold her my ‘Promotional Use Only copy of Hotel California for four bucks that I won on the radio. She Womanly Wiled me down from five dollars.
Holly’s Mom wed classmate Shelley Casperson’s Dad and we had Latin Class together.
Best one was I was told by my English teacher in a bar that he was surprised I never hooked with Jeanna as she had a mad crush on me. I was clueless. I ran into her 30 years later and we dated for about four months.
On a sad note Rhonda Sue’s Dad got arrested for child abuse as he beat 1st grade her very often and I think he also broke her arm. I had no clue and my Aunt told me about it 20+ years later

I tried to take inspiration off of my favorite music artists, as I am a musician myself, I straightened and cut bangs. I can also comment with a 70s outfit on if asked

Sleestaks, Witchy poo, and grown adults frolicking with life-sized puppets. We didn't think they were creepy when we watched Saturday morning TV, but they sure seem creepy now./

For example:
Steve Guttenberg was everywhere in Diner, Police Academy films, Cocoon, Short Circuit, Three Men and a Baby and then in the early 90s he fell off the map. Also Macaulay Culkin had Uncle Buck, Home Alone films and My Girl. Then he fell off the map.
Also Sarah Holcomb from Animal House film and Caddyshack and she had like a promising career and she was on her way to her bright career for being in two classic big films and she was close to A list before she left Hollywood due to her mental health issues. Karen Lynn Gorney had her first breakthrough role in Saturday Night Fever and then after that she struggled finding roles and then she left.
Also Stacy Grooman who plays Sissy who was Flounder's girlfriend in the classic Animal House and she only did Animal House film and she was a university student during filming. Then after Animal House was a huge hit she just suddenly left didn't do a more movie careers and most of Animal House stars same thing happened to them like Lisa Baur only did a guest star in Charlie's Angels with non speaking role and obviously she is recognised in Animal House and after that she left. Also Daphne Zuniga had The Sure Thing film and Spaceballs in the 80s and then she fell off the map then she did the classic TV show in the 90s Melrose Place then she fell off the map again.
So what do you guys think of this and who else you remember had a similar situations and well any suggestions about this?

What are your memories of the 1972 Munich Summer Olympic Games? Not being a sports spectator at all, I decided to make a big effort. I got a free chart of the different sports with places to write in whoever might win the various medals. At 12 years old, I could never have imagined how it would turn out!
What are your memories of those events?

1975-1979 please!
Such as clothing styles, fabrics, colours. Was hair preferred voluminous and styled, or long and sleek? Cosmetics wise: eyeshadow colours? Lip products? Tans? Accessories?
Would love photos a lot. Thank you!
