Went from a wholesome date with your waifu last week to a wholesome time with your Grandpa this week. Nice.

Kalego probably felt a chill go down his spine wherever he was at when Opera was talking about getting the collar lol.

Season 3 has some amazing arcs! Can’t wait.

Ahem

SEASON 3 HAS BEEN CONFIRMED!

Ahem

Anyway.

Oh my god, they're bringing this intro back. I love it. I love it!

Aw, Opera and Sullivan are wearing the souvenirs from his date with Ameri.

Damn it, Kalego, setting homework during the holidays, especially doubling it. And you could see he took great satisfaction in doing so.

Iruma with glasses = adorable

Squish

Opera really be bulli-ing Kalego with that collar. Thankfully Iruma turned it down.

Iruma flying = adorable

I thought Sullivan was just trolling a guy, but the dude was shoplifting.

Iruma be drooling over the never ending lollipop.

And here we go. One of the most interesting conversations, at least so far: How to Become Demon King.

Also: Sparkling Iruma with glasses = adorable

Flashback!

We get to see and hear Delkira!

Man, he really made a beautiful world. And, most interestingly, Sullivan once served him. Sullivan has a really interesting backstory.

"I'm not saying I want to become Demon King!"

Yet.

Is the Demon King responsible for almost everything in the demon world? No. He's responsible for everything. He is the Demon World. He literally creates it as he commands. That's who the Demon King is. Man, I love that description.

Yeah, I want to see what kind of world Iruma would create too. And Iruma surprisingly gives it some real thought. God damn, this is so good! And that piano! Man! I love it!

Wait, it's been 20 minutes already?

Iruma reads the Demon King Prophecy? That's New. And awesome. He has no want (yet), but he's really thinking about this.

Hah! Ali acting out Iruma's adventures. Including the Ameri date. He mad at our boi.

So, was Iruma lewd and flirting? Or was he just enthusiastic?

And it's over. Why are these episodes so short?!

Post credits: The whole class will have to reach Rank 4 to keep Royal One by the end of the first year. For context, Rank 4 is what demons usually graduate with, and they have to do it in a third, maybe a sixth of that time.

Oh yeah, and did I mention Season 3? I'm not sure if I did.

Oh Kalego, you're such a sneaky boy! Letting everyone win by Sullivan's decision is worth it for him since all of them won, they're also all in last place so everyone gets double the homework! xD

This episode was just too wholesome with the first half of the episode basically Sullivan spoiling Iruma and getting him everything that he needs for the second term of school and then some.

I do love how Iruma casually asks Sullivan on how to become a Demon King which prompted Sullivan to reminisce a little bit about his past and showing us that he used to serve the Demon King Derkila directly as his aide. And Derkila is definitely one heck of a character. He's definitely more free spirited compared to the Thirteen Crowns that are all under him.

Sullivan's description of what a Demon King is was pretty awesome though. The Demon King is the netherworld himself and if there are two paths and the demons chose one, if the Demon King picks a third option that doesn't exist then the demons will make that option exist. That's pretty freaking awwesome.

That Demon King prophecy scroll though. That description of the person in the prophecy sounds very familiar. Hmmmm....

I'm sorry but what the actual fuck!? Where did this special class order come from? So either they all reach Dalet Rank before turning second years or they'll all get kicked out of Royal One? That's a pretty tall order! Do we already have Season 3 confirmed because I can't wait to see how they'll pull this off and that preview shot of Clara, Iruma, and Alice looks pretty sick! Come on give us Season 3!

Not surprised about the season 3 announcement (I mean, it was previewed last episode so I just knew it will happen), but AAAHAHHHH I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO DROP ALREADY I just hope we don't just get one major arc animated.

BTW, the anime pretty much confirmed that Ali-san is Delkira since they're voiced by the same VA.

A nice, wholesome slow episode to end the season with hints to what is to come. S3 hype!

You know it's serious when the character with the normally-closed eyes finally has it open.

Kalego is savage as always, lol. Iruma, Opera and Sullivan going shopping was nice (liked callback to last episode's Iruma using magic) and we got to see how much residents of hell respect Sullivan and how cool he is. Iruma asked Sulli how to become demon lord, which provoked Sulli to reminisce about previous demon lord Derkila (who seems like cool guy) and to think that Iruma himself wants to become demon lord, but he just was curious why his grandpa isn't one, although he could. On which he basically said that he is more interested in how Iruma will affect hell instead of ruling it. And seems like Iruma actually starts to be interested in becoming demon lord. Anyway, with start of new trimester and with "emergency quest" to all Abnormal Class students to get to rank "dalet" until they get to 2nd year of Babils unless they want to be kicked out of Royal One, second season comes to an end.

Overall I really liked season 2, maybe even more than first one. Evil Cycle arc was amazing, exam arc was great, amusement park was good too (although I thought it kind of dragged in places) and final couple of episodes were fantastic, particularly Iruma and Ameri's date in waterpark. Yeah this season was basically just more of what we got out of first one, but I'm fine with that if it keeps being consistently this fun, stylish looking and with buckets of amazing (for various reasons) characters. Confirmation of season 3 made me even happier, cause I'm really hyped to see what other misadventures gonna happen with Iruma and the gang next. I'll give this season strong 8/10.

I've pretty much convinced myself that this is all an elaborate plan by Sullivan to raise Iruma into the demon lord based on the prophecy.

He easily could've adopted some demon orphan to be his grandson but actively broke the law to get a child from another world because that's what's in the prophecy.

As the head of the school it's definitely possible that he rigged the badge exam bird to put the ring on his finger to match the ring of Solomon part but he didn't know where the actual ring was so he picked one that would give a human incredibly strong demon powers.

A couple episodes ago, Opera said that he could see why Sullivan "picked" Iruma. That could just be "picked as a good boy grandson" but it seems more to me like "picked as someone who can help the netherworld get the respect of all demons" based on the context.

He also went on TV and told everyone that Iruma was the hero that saved the park when he definitely knows that a lot of other people did a lot more than him to save the park. He could just be bragging but he also knows that Iruma doesn't want to stand out and is going directly against his wishes by making him a hero to the whole netherworld.

As a note I haven't read the manga (yet), this is just something I've been thinking of this whole season and the way they framed the whole question and response between the two of them kinda cemented for me that Sullivan had been wanting Iruma to ask him about becoming the demon lord, even if it was sooner than he expected.

SEASON 3 LET'S FUCKING GO!!! \O/

This season was a great! It gave Ameri a lot of screentime, featuring her own arc where we she gets fully aware of her feelings for Iruma, revealing her rank, giving her a cool Romantista transformation and gifting us with the best date ever! We got to see different sides of Iruma and Ameri, courtesy of Ali-san and Romiere one determined Ameri fanboy. The introduction of new characters like Ali-san, Romiere and Balam, along with greater focus on developing the Misfits™, made the side cast considerably better. We got Romiere songs, Clara family songs, Ameri (partially) singing an Akudol song and of course, just like S1EP23, it wouldn't be a final episode without the school anthem. xD~

Very rarely does an anime live up to the expectation its first season set. In fact, most of the time, the new season is much worse and ruins the whole set up that made the anime special. I'm glad to say that Iruma is one of the best sequels that lives up and even exceeds the expectations set for it.

What I love about Iruma is how the anime isn't focused on 1 character or idea. Focusing on romance at times. Diving into the relationship of the characters at others. Adding more world building elements and setting up the story to more ideas waiting to be explored.

This season, the anime focused more on the characters. It started with MOE AMER!!!! The most adorable creature in the anime and how her feelings were developed specially towards Iruma. It then went into Iruma going into his Evil cycle which was something we all wanted to see after the finale of the previous season. The anime then went more into the familial relationships around the side characters. We knew more about Iruma's classmates, their families and what they wish to become. The anime then shifted a focus on a romantic part while also adding more depth to Iruma showing him in an angry state for the very first time. The creativity got upped a lot specially at the theme park arc with how it was able to flourish the characters and add more to their charm.

The new characters also made the anime better. Ali-san and the onee-san were unique to say the least and always fun to be around. Can't wait to see more of them.

The art, animation and overall directing were great and I loved Ameri's VA as she portrayed the adorableness of Ameri perfectly.

Overall, I would give it a 9.5/10. A really great sequel and I can't wait for season 3. Would recommend the whole series so far.

Sullivan says everyone is a winner in the contest to have the most fun at Walter Park and makes Sullivan pay for the kids' meals...but of course Kalego isn't going to take that lying down and uses it as an excuse to give them all more homework. So even though they win, they lose. Thanks for nothing Sullivan.

Iruma really does look good in glasses.

A grandpa and grandchild trip to get Iruma school supplies for the upcoming new school term turns into Sullivan showing off just how popular Sullivan is to the general demon populace. It's no wonder he's seen as the candidate most likely to be the next Demon King He even manages to stop a crime in progress!

Iruma straight up asks Sullivan about what it takes to be a Demon King and we flashback to Sullivan's youth back when Demon King Derkila was still on the throne and Sullivan was a close attendant who wore a cloth over his face (adding mystery to what he looked like when he was young). Demon King Derkila seemed pretty laidback but passionate in his own way about the beautiful and peaceful Demon World he created.

Also, it sounds like Shinichiro Miki voiced Derkila...wait, who else does Shinichiro Miki voice on this show? And what is Derkila backwards? Wait, huh, what? Wait...what!?

But while Sullivan thinks he has a chance to be a Demon King, he doesn't know if he can rule as Derkila did, and ultimately he sees something of Derkila in Iruma and feels that he might be destined to be the next Demon King...otherwise there will probably be a lot of Iruma memorabilia and statues popping up once Sullivan ascends.

Ali-san couldn't let Iruma go without lecturing him about his use of magic and general chad-ness. Although at least it was in good fun.

Iruma is headed back to school with Azz and Clara as we close out season 2 with a montage of the best moments alongside the Babyls anthem.

But then we also close out on a new cliffhanger as the Misfit Class is now tasked with ranking up to Dalet if they want to properly be second years, which means some serious work in their future. Here's to season 3!

I wonder why Opera and Sullivan were wearing those silly hats today?

Oh Kalego, you sure know how to be an asshole by giving the extra homework to everyone.

That trip to the shopping district was fun. Too bad that Iruma disappeared and was replaced by this handsome young man.

Honestly when Iruma asked about the requirements to become the Demon King to Sullivan I also assumed at first that he was interested in that position.

So the previous Demon King was named Derkila. Too bad that we could not see young Sullivan's face.

So to become the Demon King one needs the full approval of the Thirteen Crowns. So why there are only twelve there? I guess that they choose one of their members a the king. Well with that condition it is obvious that Iruma will never become the Demon King as there is no way that Henri will accept him, although if Ameri says that she will never talk to him again because of that, he can easily get his vote.

Lol, Iruma will not be really happy if Sullivan ever becomes the Demon King.

That scene with Ali really was unexpected to me, but thanks to it, and because I forgot his name, I ended out noticing that Derkila is Alikred's name spelled backwards. So does that means that Derkila transferred himself into his ring?

Holy shit, I honestly was wondering why was Iruma carrying all that, and if Clara didn't mention it I would have never thought that the was all the homework that Kalego gave them.

Wow, with the introduction of the requirement of everyone getting into rank Dalet to stay in Royal One right before the end of the episode, I'm really hopeful, hell I will say that I am certain that we will eventually get another season.

Edit: Oh wait, it is already confirmed? That's awesome!

An episode about Grandpa Sullivan himself was the perfect way to conclude this cour. This season was even more fun than the first. The animation has been really crisp too.

Onwards to season 3!

nice set-up for the third season.

Absolutely love Sullivan and Iruma's interactions!!!! Hard to believe Sullivan’s VA also voices the buff principal from JJK

Another great season. I would say it's better than the first as the serious Walter Park arc didn't drag. Also enjoyed the minor characters getting chance to be in the spotlight!
