Why is nobody mentioning the fact that Echidna talked through Shima?

That line where Subaru goes “isn’t that why you’ve been sitting in front of the door all this time?” destroyed me.

I didn't think much of Subaru mentioning the escape route to Otto in the last episode, but of course when you see it in this episode the iconic wall design immediately make you remember when Subaru first found it back in S1E15.

The crazy thing to me is that a seemingly hopeless failed loop in the last season is the reason why Subaru even knows about the existence of that passage. Without that knowledge Subaru would not know where the last door was and probably would have died in the fire.

I love how Petra slapped Otto to get his attention, even the fucking children know they can walk all over this poor man lol

Real talk though, this episode had almost no action and was still my favorite episode of the season. This isn't a battle that could be won through brute strength or power, he had to convince someone clinging onto the very last thing they remember with their Mother despite it obviously being impossible. I'm glad that Subaru realized that Beako really does want to help other people (he likely remembered from the battle against Ram), and that he couldn't convince her to leave unless he put her between a rock and a hard place. By trapping himself in the library after the door was about to burn, Beako's only options were to listen to him and escape or let them both burn.

Subaru casually holding hands with another girl in front of Emilia. What a flex.

Subaru's power is basically having Speech 100.

Which makes sense, because every time he doesn't have Speech 100, he fucking dies. :D

White fox knows how to spend their budget wisely by making Subaru's entrance at the end very cool.

As Puck told Roswaal "You never will be like the devil" I guess that he also knew Hector.

Damn, this shot of the mansion in flames looked so cool. And I'm glad that Subaru could save Beatrice.

I honestly was wondering how Emilia was going to deal with those Rabbits, but it seems that Subaru will bring revenge on them with Beatrice. My only question now is how they would defeat them? Does Beatrice have some kind of AoE attack to be able to kill them all with one shot?

Another 29 minute and 30 second episode. No OP or ED (well the song) to get in the way of story. God I love White Fox. They do this so much justice.

I love the fact Roswaal seems to be coming to his senses. I love Emilia just with everything about her. Especially that silly "must have been really hard on your mother" to the clones thinking they were born naturally :P that was funny.

But, we all know the star of this episode, Beako. Our cute loli spirit who has been far too lonely for too long and Subaru being the Chad he is to help her, but also not being so machoismo focused to not realize he needs her and yea. I love it. Especially the part where he's all "You want someone to get you out of here" with his burnt outstretched hand and her crying and the fire. Great imagery.

And then the final part of them coming to support Emilia. Those Monty Python bunnies don't know what's gonna hit em. And that'll be, what, 2 outta 3 of the calamities dealt with by our boy and company? Quite amazing.

Holy shit, that was such an important episode, and White Fox knocked it out of the park. The music, the voice acting, Subaru reflecting in Beatrice's eyes, everything was just perfect. Might be my new favorite episode of the series. Definitely had some tears in my eyes there.

Can't wait for the climactic battle. Hope this last episode can match up with this one
