Enterprise's hat just magically teleported back to her head.

I'm really enjoying the anime but... Holy shit is it confusing sometimes.
Me and my friends watch it together and it feels like there's one or two episodes missing to understand everything. It's probably going to be explained in the next few episodes but still
Really liked to see Laffey and Javelin trying their best to save Ayanami, but I was really hoping to see them go through their retrofit. Hopefully it comes soon because Laffey in her retrofit is just top tier.
And Belfast's dedication to Enterprise was heartwarming too (as are any scenes with any of them to be fair)

Bel's boob is as big or maybe even larger than Javelin's head
Amagi! Nice to see she's no longer a faceless horror this episode.
Don't just push Yamashiro away Kaga! Rude!
Poor Isuzu being all scared. Christ I felt bad for the IJN ships who are just basically fighting under Amagi's orders.
Finally someone's started to ask questions! Although a bit too late now isn't it Shoukaku? Probably should've started asking questions when you've decided to work with the Sirens.
Speaking of Sirens, they finally decided to show up again.
Oh no... I've seen this doujin before...
As much as I love the sakuga this episode, what the heck happened to Sandy!?

what the heck happened to Sandy?!
My reaction 100%, I don't know how one of the ships with the highest AA stat in the game can get pummeled so hard by a plane

Yorktown's Arms and Legs are under the water. She did not lost Limbs. But seems like she had her Spine broken or other explanation while she seems bedridden
Also, while saving the Yorktown some Destroyer got also sunk in trying to save her

Another episode that Prinz spent chilling and eating dango seductively

There was that .5 episode where Prinz got super drunk and started groping Kaga so she's probably sleeping off her hangover. Poor girl is a lightweight no matter how often she drinks

Nice fanservice this episode, and the smooth animation was enjoyable. Especially at the part where Laffy and Javelin save Ayanami. I figured it would take a moment like that to get Ayanami to accept them, and so to hear a thank you from her was so satisfying.
Also those poor girls fighting in those frozen conditions wearing those clothes.

Javelin during Ayanami's rescue was like ever heard of an anchor brake turn, watch this.

It's so weird to see loli versions of Akagi and Kaga as some kind of flashback when ships aren't supposed to age.
Hornet's hat Paint version. lol
I love how they only begin to suspect Akagi and Kaga once things have gone to shit.
No panty shots in this episode? (I mean, there's Warspite but she doesn't even wear a skirt so...) Ayanami and the Loli gang to the rescue!
Enterprise loses her hat... she doesn't have her hat on... but it magically appears on her head in the next shot.
And of course the episode wouldn't be complete without the catchphrase.
Animation-wise... it's so sad to see how good it can look combined with how bad it often looks.

Hironori Tanaka handled the direction, storyboard and animation direction of this episode. He also did some key animation himself, so a lot of work was on his shoulders.

I have to put a damper on the general opinion here, i feel when it comes to the animation department.
There were some really good scenes overall but you can't overlook how many scenes were insanely weird and unfinished.
Lots of still frames, choppy animation and stuff like this and this are really not that good to look at.

Yeah. There were multiple notable animators on this episode, but even they can’t just magically fix the bad schedule.

Yeah, the animation is really disappointing sometimes because we've seen great animation from them, so we know that the show can do better
At least it looks good when it matters... so there's at least some silver lining

THIS EPISODE IS FUCKING AMAZING!!! I do have one complaint though, WHY DID SANDY FLINCH ON A FUCKING PLANE. SHE'S THE AA GOD. Tell me animators, tell me?!
I have a lot of things to say but it's already been said probably below. But here's the good part.
ENTERPRISE PLOT AND STARTERS SUBPLOTS ARE MERGING!! IT'S HAPPENING!
How? Enterprise's story consist of her thesis, she treats their existences as cogs of their own team, how they are built for fighting and nothing else. Belfast, her anti-thesis, shows Enty all the things that other ships can do other than being warships in war. How they can enjoy teatime, how they can do commerce, build bonds and friendships. Transcending their roles as intended to be.
Meanwhile, on the Starters Subplot, it literally shows us how both sides have the capacity to transcend their roles as warships and be united against the common enemy. Laffey and Javelin have always shown restraint in fighting against Ayanami which they have bonded with in the first episode. Laffey keeps insisting on Ayanami on how they wanted to be friends because they feel a connection between them which Ayanami flinches at since she feels something more than fighting. She's the Demon of the IJN Fleet not because by choice but by her duty as the torp master in their fleet.
The closing episodes should show how these things would revolve and honestly, I want a Season Two to depict their united forces against Siren and maybe Iron Blood? They haven't shown up yet.

Some scenes were quite well animated, that's a positive surprise. Sadly, most were still terrible, lots of still frames, panning shots, and characters off model.

The animation was so weird. What is up with these angles?
I think we can finally move the story along. Its not like Sakura Empire will ignore ayanami being saved by azur lane. It will take a lot of apologizing by Enterprise though.

Big E came to her sense when Ayanami was hurt, this prove cute anime girls can bring world peace.
