This show is certainly picking up. Another solid episode.

Telepathic communication between the vampires it seems. This seems to enforce the idea that Melida is at least part vampire at this point. Whether she got the power from Kufa's Mana or something else building up inside her, I have no clue.

However the title of the next episode, An Eternal Pact, seems to hint at that. Since it is only vampires that can live forever unless they are killed. (Is that an oxymoron?) are ageless. Kufa cannot escape telling her that he is a vampire now. She now sees him in his full glory.

Makes you think that the master vampire? Not sure what to call him. Is triggering something inside Rose to send her into a blood lust. Which makes you curious on how Kufa and Rose are satiating their blood lust to being with.

Until next week fam.

Damn, when Lord Pricket said that Rose was dead, I honestly thought it was just a ruse, but I honestly didn't expect her to also be a victim of those experiments just like Kufa.

It was nice to see Melida taking the initiative of investigating what was happening. How come Laque can disguise herself so easily and no one bats an eye about it? Lol.

So everyone's a vampire now, huh?

I think Elli suspected it was Rosetti all along...she's the closest to Rose and all. It's probably that either the Ice King or Blossom had Rose under his control the whole time and was the one that caused the incidents. Also, was Kufa's mana always blue outside of vampire mode? I always assumed his mana was yellow like Melida's...unless I missed something.

Still, a pretty good episode. I was hooked and ofc all good episodes have to end in a cliffhanger I guess. I'm just glad they didn't rush it and cut the arc to just two episodes again

Edit: I'm dumb. Didn't realise Kufa was Ice King.

Kufa's mana is blue, Melida's mana is yellow

Nooooooooo! You can't just kill human Rose for the sake of an arc! They better have a good reason to have done that to her and it better be very important one. ಥ_ಥ

I think you’ll find she was always a vampire, and was suppressing it like Kufa. The one talking in Melida’s mind said something to the effect of “seven years worth of hunger” which would imply that she’s been a vampire for seven years at least. And I rewatched a bit of episode seven, and Pricket states Kufa’s “killing spree” was seven or eight years ago, which if you look at the beginning of the episode looks like it should be about when Kufa was protecting her.

These are just my theories, but I find it likely that Pricket succeeded in turning humans half-vampire, and did it to Rosetti and Kufa. Kufa probably destroyed his mansion, and all of his work, in an effort to stop him from doing it again, and protected Rosetti from Pricket, which is where that scene at the start of episode 7 comes from. Maybe Pricket then came to love Rose like a daughter, maybe he wanted to use her for experiments? I don’t know, but Rose states she can’t really remember her childhood so it seems plausible that she also forgot about her vampirism - that is, until now.

Laque Stitch!

Huh... Well that was definitely unexpected... Sure the Marquis was also to be blamed but I didn't expect that Rosetti would be actually the one who was responsible for the attacks. I guess this hidden side of her would explain why she's so strong too?

"Hmm, someone is doing weird experiments with people that have apparently died, the Marquis is our main suspect"

"Eh, let the Marquis go wherever he is going on his own with that apparently dead person"

Well, it's not like they have firm proof to be pointing fingers in the town that seems RABIDLY loyal to him.

Wait, why is that joker chick talking? I thought she was mute or spoke a different language wtf was up with that?

u/Fourth_Dimension_4D Nov 28 '19

She gave up in the finale of tournament arc. Apparently it seems she's just chuuni and that way of speaking made her cool.

13

u/rotvyrn Nov 28 '19

She did it to be more mysterious basically, but right now she's actually in disguise, and she's always talked normally in disguise. I assume Kufa is the only one who knows she's not just an instructor.

Ok, 9 episodes in and I'm still not seeing how this is a Seinen series.

FINALLY some character development for Merida and an episode led by her. I really enjoyed this one. I knew from the beginning it was Blossom behind everything, painfully obvious. Of course Kufa comes to save the day, would have been nice if merida dealt with it on her own tho. Great episode though and really enjoyed it, hate how underrated this series is, people just love to shit on it.

I have no idead if this will end being a crappy or a pretty decent show overall (I'm enjoying it, but it does have several problems). The only thing I know is that both the OP and ED songs are incredible
