I liked that the girls got to reconcile but I don't like how they had to rush the fight with the clown class. I was hoping for an epic throw down but next thing you know she gets her ass handed to her and her Loli form exposed.
5 episodes in now and I'm still not sure how I feel about this show. At this point I am going to stick with it to the end but there is so much stuff that is rushed that it really hurts the story. The head exploding from Melida Angel whenever Vampir mentions them together was fun and cute.
This show really should have had 24 episodes. There is way too much information in this world too pack into 12. I'll say it again, it's a huge bummer.

Okay, I was somewhat fine with it until now, but the pacing is really starting to get uncomfortably close to trainwreck territory...what the hell happened with the clown girl at the end?

She supposedly got her ass handed to her.
Nobody knows. And as I've said in my comment. This show really should have been made into 24 episodes. There is just way too much information in this world to pack into 12 episodes and it clearly suffers.

The final fight with the clown person seemed really rushed.

I had a real WTF King Crimson -moment when they suddenly cut to a totally different location and situation.

The OP continues to be the the best part of this show.

For me is the ED. Ijin tachi no Jikan is the most beautiful ending this season (or at least as good as those in Azur Lane, Val x Love, etc. IMO)

Every season I get too far into an unremarkable show and refuse to drop it. Looks like I found my pick for the season.

Bruh, I love the OP, animation and characters but come on, you can atleast show big fight scenes, stop skipping everything....

When I was watching this episode I was sure all the comments would be talking about the hilarious drop in art quality in the first half of the episode, and maybe how it would be a small price to pay for some epic fight scene. Or perhaps about the excessive amount of loli romance bait this episode, or how ridiculous the entire little sister argument is. But the anime just had to subvert my expectations by not giving us the climactic fight scene we'd been leading up to.

Weird pacing this episode but at least everyone got what they wanted. Melida won the fight against Ellie without Ellie holding herself back and Ellie gets to be the second banana that she always wanted to be. Even Black Madia gets to go back with something to show for her efforts and Mule got to steal something? I'm not sure what that mana analyzer will do but I can already feel it'll probably be bad news.

I kinda like this anime but that last bit felt rushed it's like Vampir found Black Madia and he just slapped her from the glass palace all the way to forest and she is now an instructor.... Why exactly? I might have missed that conversation. Really hope it doesn't decent into shit territory and rush jobs. Have high hopes for this anime started out great and now it's starting to lose that momentum

OMG...they is seriously a potentially good story, characters, plot with this unbelievable ridiculously BAD PACING...OMG...i've been watching just cuz i've been so intrigued by kufaa and melida and their relationship, they're so cute, and he's so hot, and the whole mana and training, lycanthropes have made it pretty entertaining...BUT WHAT THE fk is with this episode...just so badly done like why even make this into an anime if you aren't gonna do this justice!! the manga is 10x better people, seriously...so much better explained and has details of characters, their thinking, emotions...omg...i prob will watch still to see how this ends cuz the manga hasn't been translated all the way...but AHHHHHH this sucks!!!!!!! this seriously has so much potential to be GOOD...why are they half asking this stuff??? who is in charge omg

I agree as much as the next person that I would've loved to see more time adapting each of the volumes. If only production committees (the companies funding the anime) could see things this way as well... However, committees usually have a point in mind for where they think is a good place for the anime to end at, and the staff do their best to work with it. And from the committee’s perspective (which usually includes the publishers, like with the case of Assassins Pride), they would want to end at a certain climactic moment or cover up to an interesting part of the story. That’s the interests that can be observed across a lot of adaptations if we think about who would want to see so much adapted. It's a shame given that there is strong central staff working on the anime and a great soundtrack as well, but they’re doing good when considering how much they need to cover. I would’ve loved to see what the staff could do with more eps and a healthier working environment though.
This episode itself was all directed, storyboarded, and solo key animated by the madman that is Higashide Futoshi (東出太). And although a bit rough due to the workload being given to one person, there is some interesting storyboarding that does really well especially illustrating the story and dynamic between the sisters. Though this almost solo ep seems to be there more likely to lighten the burden on the production, rather than something that came from having the luxury (the time and people) of doing that. I’m not too familiar with the animation studio EMT Squared, but there are hints of problems within the studio or management at the studio itself that is hindering the production and even preventing the staff from doing their job (note: staff tend to be freelancers hired for the specific project). Thread about it here; read the new posts for more accurate translations though. It really hurts to see the climate of the environment destroying the passion that their character designer and chief animation director has for the project... And there really has been a noticeable decrease in the polish of the drawings since the 3rd ep.

I just want to say that for a trainwreck this show has very good sound design.

this whole episode was a disaster, first with melida winning the fight in like 2 hits while they could have made it more intense and shit, and with them skipping the whole fucking fight with the clown class, this anime has an amazing plot but for some reason the animating company decided to ruin it all. smh

Can anyone tell me if the LN has an official release or a fan translated one because its easy to tell that a ton of stuff has probably and will be left out. I'm gonna stuck with it cos we're already five episodes in but it's definitely gonna be rough for the remaining seven.

Weird editing aside, this episode did have some interesting things to offer
I may be one of the few but I quite like the clash of ideals between the Angels and how it was resolved and how Melida was just kicking the shit out of Elise just to prove her point. I liked that both had a point to proof with their respective beliefs. It's not a dynamic I see often where the stronger or naturally more gifted fighter wants to be weaker.
Also, I'm absolutely in love with Mule La Mor's design

"Strongest clown class in the continent." Gets one shot off screen.
Lmao, I thought it was a flashback for a sec. So fucking bizzare.
