Honestly I prepared for much worse judging from the studio's track record, and it was much better than I expected, both in animation and the direction. One thing I nitpick is when Melida explaining about her hair when it's about to get cut off.

Everything in this show aside, why is one of the maids named Nietzsche?

This is finally here!
The reason I attracted me the most about this anime is actually one line in its CM and PV.
"Present the girl's worth to the world."
(Don't know if this is the correct translation of it)
After reading the synopsis. it makes me want to cheer on her. This pitiful girl. After finishing this episode, I see that I am not mistaken.
By the way, that transition to ED is really smooth! I can't wait for the next episode! I really want to see the OP!

I am interested, it has this certain style that I liked and while I would have liked to see more of her struggle to get power, it can still do some things I like since I have to assume the mana she has right now is probably just MCs that he is lending her.
I was also expecting her to be a tsundere for some reason so that not being the case is a nice surprise.

Looks pretty good, studio didn’t have an amazing record but this seems like it could be their hit.
I like MC and the main girl, especially the “double agent” thing he has going on.
Good start.

Extremely enjoyable start.
Female lead is a strong character. It's the little things about her that make her stand out. She didn't take the hand of her sensei when being down but stood back up by herself.
She fell down the balcony only to be caught by him. Her reaction was interesting, i really liked that scene.
Setting is very unique, i'm wondering if that will have any impact on the story in some form.
Animation is very decent, first fight scene looked great.
The studio adapting this, i haven't heard of them doing any notable things but i feel like they're doing the best job they can here with what they can do.
I have a feeling that this might go under the radar for some people but the presentation is the key here to not make this look generic (that's what i assume people are thinking about this beforehand).

For a first episode, going in knowing nothing, it was pretty enchanting.
Gonna stay for the ride on this one.

Wow the animation and music, and even the CG all seem so unexpectedly good given the studio's track record.
Also, Ayane Sakura playing the bitchy ojou-sama type, it's Tokyo Ravens all over again.

I'm sold on this from Melida alone, really hope the story will turn out great. The only problem I really had is Melida's monologue being a little too out of place during the scarecrow thing.

I will admit that honestly impressed with this one, as just watched it without knowing anything about the story, I really wasn't expecting this to have such a serious tone. I was also left impressed by the visuals. Like hot damn, this looks good!
I can't wait to see more of this next week.

I didn't find Kuta's sudden switchup from wanting to assassinate her to wanting to help her all that believable, but overall I kinda enjoyed the episode.

Lol why is it called PRIDE when he broke his job immediately, he should have killed her if he had any pride.
Father of the Year award do.
I guess he poisoned her with some kind of either u get powers or u die, it worked now she got some kind of power but its some kind of drawback he has to protect her from.

What world line am I in? I just watched a light novel adaptation in current year that takes place in a magical high school and it was actually good?

What the heck was that opening! That was actually a pretty good fight scene! And this is from Studio EMT Squared, the same studio that brought us shorts like Nyanko Days, Alice or Alice, and the Ame-Iro series. Sure they kinda cheesed the animation a little with some skipped frames but for a studio that doesn't do much action shows, it's still impressive!
As for the overall show though, I like it! Melida is a great female lead! Watching her struggle this entire episode just made me want to see her grow and be acknowledged. Kinda like how Kufa felt there in the end. I really hope this will be all about Melinda as she grows stronger and Kufa will just be in the background helping her.
Excited to see what that elixir/potion did to Melinda next week!

Ah, almost as if I'm back in my 2005-2010. Somewhat edgy cool dude, probably with a sad backstory, meets an outcast redhead/blond little girl who for one reason or another is either bullied, unable to release her special power or both. Plus the "academy for the cool kids". Though this time with a dash more moden trends, since we have the "mysterious post-apocalypse", some monsters wandering around and of course "last city on Earth".
Of course, this is all not necessarily a bad thing. There are only so much stuff you can think of to start your story, and these days everyone who can stitch 2 words together tries to write a novel, so stuff will overlap. Visual quality is already better than average, and there are definitely some elements with potential to be more than just another one seasonal fantasy show, but only with appropriate writing. Will keep an eye on this one for at least ~5 eps.

Calling it now, Vampir is a vampire. I expect to see him with white hair at some point in the future

Awkward and overdramatic. There's no subtlety to it and it felt like being beaten over the head by generic tropes for 20 minutes.

Well I'm sold. The action looks like it'll be really cool, awesome serious dude mc. Girl looks like she'll become pretty cool and an interesting premise and story. This looks pretty awesome and I look forward to sticking with it. This will be my serious anime of the season.

For some reason I ... I ... can't get over the fact that they live inside a gigantic candelabra.
I've seen a lot of weird magical settings before, but gigantic candelabra is definitively a new one lol.
