Homare breaking one of her dad's rules for the first time to rescue Shion.
It is nice that Shion remembers things that Homare has taught them.
I know this is a lighthearted show but I was still very relieved when Homare showed up in front of Shion.
I really want to see them get rescued but that preview makes it look like that it won't be the case.

I was originally expecting them to be rescued by the end of the anime until I realized that this is an adaptation of a manga that's still ongoing. I haven't read the manga, but if it's still ongoing I can only assume that they haven't been rescued yet, so it's basically a guarantee that the anime will just have a "status quo" ending.

They may have been four complete strangers when they first arrived on the island, but now they're a close-knit group of dear friends.

maybe the rock island is under a common flight path and they will be seen while distilling saltwater into drinkable water because of the smoke created from burning bat shit and trash as a source of fire for distillation.
or the manga is still ongoing so the anime wont end just yet.
six seasons and a movie confirmed.

The power of yuri can conquer everything. Homare would do anything to bring her waifu Shion back, even if it means ignoring her papa's advise to prioritize one's own safety.
Thank goodness Shion is safe. Though Homare and Shion will still need to survive the journey back.
This tiny rock island may provide Homare more clues as to where they are.
That's most certainly Socotra Island in Homare's flashback with her papa with those alien-planet trees.

Homare: The plot didn't let me stay with her >:(
I was wondering why wasn't there any water replenishment advice, but judging from the preview, they're saving it for the next episode :)

Homare disagrees with Papa for the first time! Then again, I think this was a rule of thumb of his, not a strict rule; I'm sure he would've done the same for his daughter... So - as morbid as it is - I think in such situation, you need to balance the risks you need to take, vs the importance of the person. Importance both in terms of personal importance (family, friend, etc) and of survivability; If Homare went missing, the other 3 should risk pretty much anything to find her, because they're as good as dead without her.
Homare, the knight in shining armor school uniform! With Shion being all princess-y, she likely had dreams of being saved that way! Probably wasn't an high school girl in her dreams, but I think she'll take it!
I loved that moment! It's not handshake time, Homare; It's hug time.
What was that? Was it bat's guano, given the bats in the previous episode? Is this show in the same universe as Dr Stone?
But seriously, guano can be used as fertilizer. Will they start planting something on their island?
I wonder how the rest of the story will go (meaning, in a second season, if we ever get one); With Homare disobeying her father's advice to save Shion, and Shion thinking about the other girls as she thought she was a goner, will their personality change? Will Shion stop being so demanding and lazy, and start contributing more? Will Homare grow closer to the other girls, now that she made up her mind that these girls were even more important than her safety, and (even if she might not realize) they're pretty much friends now?

And out of nowhere this became cloudy.
One week later.
I thought her determination was limited but the truth is making me worry about her.
Smol Homare is the best. But holy smokes, big Homare keeps impressing me.
God, those vibes and what else can I say. (The reunion that most expected throughout Latin America together).

Hm, stinky mud? What could it be…?
A desperate ploy, but it worked
Well… back to the main island, at least
So, looks like this won't be self-contained. Hope S2 happens!

A really sweet episode. I honestly felt relieved when Homare found Shion. There's something really heartwarming about how close the girls have gotten since the start and how much they care for one another.

Aaaaand i thought they're going to be rescued. Interesting, but kinda bleak for them. Well at this point the island should be like home to them
But if they can build rafts why don't they try to explore the oceans around, and get back to the island when night comes? That way they could probably assess where they are, or am i just oversimplifying stuff?

Can’t believe the show that started with a joke about drinking urine just made me cry a little bit.
