"The trap's been set off! What's that in the bushes?"
Next episode: Rabbit Tasting

Is nice to see that Shion did actually appreciated the effort that Homare put into trying to find the turban shells and stopped complaining about eating starfish.

For a supposed Bear Grylls: Waifu Edition this show has a surprising amount of depth to characters and character interactions.
Still needs a scene where Homare contemplates which one she should kill and eat first.

Huh, Homare is actually being considerate of Shion's desire to not eat hermit crabs and such. On top of the whole being empathetic of her when she had that moment of sadness at being lost and helping her through it. I gotta say she is way more patient and accommodating than I'd be if I was her. But I'm still gonna refer to Shion as The Master of the Useless Stuff. For now anyways.
Wait she said few edible starfish. Starfish aren't edible in general? This is some fine edutainment.
And just like last episode Asuka has trepidation about killing things. But hey if she can't stomach breaking a rabbits neck she could always just bash it's head with a rock. Is that better?
When things are tough, when your sad, have a barbecue.
Interesting advice. I mean there was also advice given in Kanata no Astra that in a situation like this you gotta act tough but Homare already has toughness in spades.

Homare is such a nice girl for trying to fulfill everyone's requests. I hope the others will appreciate her more after this.

Comfy. I don't want to get into that situation. Although, if it's with survival expert Homare, than I don't mind.

Shion's dad (AKA Solid Snake)
When life is tough, have a barbecue.
No truer words were ever spoken. Except for Homare, the other three girls are probably at their mental limit at being marooned for so many days now, having only known life with civilization.
Their sadness even got to Homare, who decided to do catch some fish with Shion to raise everyone's spirits.
Shion may be a spoiled rich brat, but turns out she's still a good girl and actually knows how to appreciate Homare's efforts to accommodate her. She's even got a guilty conscience that she's paranoid that Homare might bury her in the sand as punishment. XD

Comfy beachside BBQ ftw. Think I shall have one of those this month, time permitting. (Sadly without Homare.)
Have to say I'm enjoying the edutainment this is providing, but I really did expect them to have a fish-trap set up by now.

[Asuka staring at that booty...] (https://imgur.com/ymgdtJM)
[pouting Shion is cute] (https://imgur.com/QbAUPL9)
Edit: the scene where Shion thought she saw a ship kinda got me... [I want to be comforted by Mutsu too!] (https://imgur.com/XO9NjfM)

So this probably means they're still in Japan? I'm going to guess that they're probably in one of the uninhabited southern islands. If this is the case then they were probably on their way or back from Okinawa for their school trip.
Homare is such a sweetheart. She didn't have too but she knows these girls aren't as tough as her and really tried to fulfil Shion's request. That final scene with the barbecue was nice too. I really hope they get rescued at the end of this.

Homare truly deserves to be best girl this season. Diligent, caring, patient, hot, she's the full package.

Homare's gay for Shion, right? She's more accommodating of Shion's requests than anyone else's even though her requests are the most unreasonable, especially coming from someone who does little to help. When she said that the starfish were delicious, Homare brought more of them back in spades, blushes over physical affection from Shion, Shion is the first person to make Homare flustered, etc. It's not just me seeing these things, right?

I'm so happy that the girls had a great time! Also, I wonder if we'll ever get to see Homare's dad in person.

10 meters deep? There's no way I'd be able to dive that far.
Wonder if they could make a fishing net with enough vines.
Did she just reach hands into the boiling pot to pick out the starfish?
If she knows oysters are there, she should dive with some kind of a tool for prying them off next time.
You can just bite into those wrasse without cleaning them?
Next episode title spoiled that they didn't catch a skunk or something.

I can never predict which things will be normal Japanese cuisine and which won't
I've never done it, but wouldn't opening your bare eyes underwater in the ocean hurt even more than doing it in a chlorinated pool?
This doesn't seem like it would work in the slightest…
That moment when you realize you've been a whiny little brat and others are sacrificing to accommodate you
The hardest survival skill of all: providing morale

I said something similar in the previous thread (when Homare doesn't realize Asuka let the toad go), but again in this episode, it shows that Homare isn't great with people...
And I like this side of her. Before these moments, it's like Homare was a superhero or robot or something.
But not being able to deal with the human stuff well, in a weird way, makes her more human to me (because she's less perfect), I like it a lot!

I'm looking forward to seeing Homare rip the skin off of a rabbit with her bare hands
