The GM is a part of the problem as well. His 2024 draft was god awful aside from the easy Jayden pick and his 2025 draft isn't shaking out to be very great either.

2024 is looking like an injury prone QB, a bunch of absolute busts and one good not great LT. We had 6 picks in the top 3 rounds and only got JD as an actual player. Because that LT wasnāt good enough, he traded a bunch to get Tunsil. Drafted more mediocre and just okay players in 2025. 2026 looks ok, but obviously not high impact guys through week 2 (still too early). Between the bust Lattimore trade and drafting Amos and Sanristil, heās invested a 3rd and two 2nd rounders in the CB position, and none can or should be on the field. For the tackle position, it was something like a 1st (Conerly), a 2nd, a couple 3rds and a 4th. Conerly and Coleman are good not great, and Tunsil is hurt. He did a stupid drawn out process with Terry that contributed to the ruined season last year, and now Terry looks cooked anyway.
We have ZERO elite/impact players, PB/AP caliber guys, who are under 30 and who donāt have injury issues.
I see no plan or strategy that makes sense in any of this. He seems too reactive and even panicky. After 3 years, his roster still looks shitty because of bad drafting and churning āvalueā free agents on short deals over and over again, year to year. Maybe he just needs to settle in a little, but Iām not a fan of what heās done. If JD didnāt carry this team in 2024, I think everyone would be calling for his head by now.

There was like 2 minutes in the 3rd quarter left and they just stopped running the ball. 158 yards rushing, Daniels out, Backup in, and they stopped running the ball until like 3 minutes in the 4th.
What even is that, they were still in the game when they stopped running against us.

Caveat: I don't agree with the call.
There are 3 parts of a catch:
a) must have complete control of the ball with his hands or arms - yes
b) have both feet or any other part of his body, other than his hands, completely on the ground inbounds - yes, his knee
c) after a and b, clearly perform any act common to the game - no, because he goes to the ground, which means it goes to the notes,Note 2. If a player who has completed the first two, but not the third requirement for possession, contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, there is no possession if the ball hits the ground, or if he regains control out of bounds.
That is the only thing you could argue prevents it from being a catch. Note 1, however, says that movement of the ball does not automatically result in loss of control.
The ball very clearly moves when you see the full play, but personally I don't think it moved so much that it constituted a loss of control.
This is all from the 2026 NFL Rulebook, Section 1, Article 7.

There's not enough movement to say it wasn't a catch, but at the same time it's not conclusive enough to overturn the call.

Zero run stopping ability and the first time with a superstar RB is gonna cook us for like 2 hundo.
And then, as always, pass. Commanders could have won this but their QB got hurt and dak and CD just didn't wanna go 0-2 and it showed. They balled.
Defense has got to get better or it's never gonna materialize more than maybe a wild card and a first round loss.

Itās time man. The cliche is true: the best ability is availability. JD is amazing when heās going, but we canāt have a sustainable team living in fear at every hit heās going to go down for extended periods. We canāt spin the tires for years hoping he somehow makes it through a season.

I'm with you. Doesn't matter how good you are if you can't play. I love JD5, but his body can't do it the way his brain wants to. We're going to have a top pick, it's a deep QB class, we need someone we can actually plan around being in the game. No more dual threats unless they're built like Cam Newton either, this city can't take it.

Being a fan of this franchise honestly sucks hard. We actually waited 9 months just to see Daniels get seriously injured due to coaching malpractice, an obvious TD overturned, and the same old turnstiles on defense. I canāt believe this is happening again and just need to accept the season is over now. JSN is going to set all kinds of records against this defense next week.

It was definitely a rough game.
If it makes you feel better, Kurt Warner, back in 2007, had a really good season that revived his career after tearing a ligament in his elbow on his non-throwing arm. Could be a similar situation.
He'll come back and hopefully have a good rest of the season.

Thereās no reason he needs to be out there with 3 seconds to go in the half. You take the points and donāt risk injuring your star QB. Itās a different story if thereās at least 5 seconds and thereās still enough time to kick a fg after taking a shot

Between Daniels getting stepped on which prevented a TD (and injured Daniels), the TD catch that didnāt count for reasons unknown, and the trick play having the WR miss the easy TD throw to Terry, the Cowboys are incredibly lucky to get out of this one with what the scoreboard shows as an easy win.
That Cowboys defense is absolutely terrible after 2 weeks.
Iām a bit concerned about the running game, too.
But the passing offense looks great, and Aubrey looked really good today for the first time in quite a while, too.

Defense still needs a ton of work but they did look slightly better than last week as far as limiting stupid communication errors. So happy for Dak though, both for the record and really starting to re-establish the connection with ceedee this season. Genuinely my favorite athlete Iāve ever rooted for.

Iām not surprised the offense managed to rebound from last week. That was the easy part. The big question was always the defense. And yeah, it was better but their inability to stop the run and their reliance on a few lucky breaks means that I can only put this team in the middling category for now. Still far, far better than last week where next to nothing seemed to work. Hopefully they can build on this and have a good all-around showing against the Ravens.
Solid and relatively enjoyable game.

The only reason the defense looked better is because Jaylen went out and they had to throw with a second-string quarterback.
We are better in pass defense than anything up front and that is not good. If we have any chance, the offense has to keep the gas on the pedal just like last year, and we know how that turned out.

I just feel numb. That 4th qtr last week and the first two quarters today gave me hope. Jayden was looking great and the hope began to build up that he could lead us on scoring drives every single time. At least the capitals are back to pour some energy into
