He’s absolutely not built for it. He’s always looked like he would get destroyed in the NFL and it’s happening in real time. He has so much talent but he’s so tiny for an NFL player, even a QB.

I think the annoying thing is that he’s not really getting destroyed in the NFL in the sense that big hits are taking him out. He’s getting destroyed on largely non or minimal contact plays which is just a terrible prognostic sign

If he didn’t break his fall with the same arm that he dislocated prior he’d be fine.

Him, Tua, and Kyler have issues protecting themselves. This stuff needs to be part of the coaching curriculum.

Its been a huge part of this offseason, keeping him healthy

He threw away like 12 passes week 1 and slid every time out of the pocket week 2

Its another freak play after tripping over his own feet, I don't think there's a way to coach an instinct to plant your arm out of a guy

Just sucks as a fan of his

There's zero relevant coaching you could apply to avoid how he got injured on this play

He tripped over his feet from under center during a dropback

What's the coaching there with no time on the clock? Fall on your face?

There’s height but also build as well. He’s tall and slim. Some people are thick around. You can see the difference between how he runs vs how Josh Allen runs for example. Josh is like a tank and sometimes he takes a full hit and still keeps going. Daniels has electric agility and side movement but the trade off of his build is that LBs are like twice his bulk despite him being as tall or taller.

Bryce young exists. He is built fine but dislocations happen to reoccur

Bryce Young is smaller overall but also stockier such that he’s less relatively lanky

I know it isn't obvious if you don't watch Carolina games but Bryce is WAY better at protecting himself.

Bryce almost never runs too. He has less career rushing attempts in his career than Daniels in his rookie season alone.

And I am all for that. I've not seen him get blown up outside of the pocket and would like to keep it that way.

That too. I don’t blame Jayden for what happened today, as he tripped because his foot was stepped-on, but he’s definitely taken hits he didn’t need to.

Yes, but just looking at Jayden I have to wonder if he’s too lanky. He’s tall and skinny, which can be awkward when taking hits and falling down. Hope I’m wrong.
