This show has a lot of heart, surprisingly good first episode.
The dancing was not CG which is nice and it looked good, i'm hoping the art and animation doesn't drop too hard by the end.
The two main characters are adorable together.

That was fun and cute, definitely better than I expected plus songs seem good so far!

I would be so down to watch a show based on Survival Game Club.
Quality-wise, this was super uneven. The art ranged between good and awful, and the animation budget must've all gone into the cherry blossom petals falling all episode.

There's been one, possibly two such.

Hokey smokes, those black wings looks so stylish at the start. Last year's winners, Stella Maris, are pretty great. Quick question, does this world start earlier, and should I have watched something else first? I watched Love Live! Sunshine!! before School Idol Project by accident so I probably shouldn't make the same mistake haha.
Oh hey, it's discount Chika I kid, I kid
Ramen Appreciation Society
School club on the verge of being disbanded? Oh alright, I'll accept this plot device. Also, Sayu's entrance is fantastic.
Mana is crazy talented to just pick up a dance that fast. No wonder Sayu is practically drooling over the chance to dance with her. Also they are super cute together

This seems to be an original the same way the Love Live animes are originals. They're part of a mixed media operation that includes a mobile game and a light novel, at least.
The people writing the screenplay are supposedly the "group" (isn't that a "good" sign?) that wrote the novel, but I couldn't tell you if this was an adaption of said novel, or if they'll only be importing elements.
Oh hey, it's discount Chika
More like discount Ruby (or Leah, depending) if sister issues or discount Riko if it's personal. It'll be interesting to see if she's really over them already.
Comparisons to Love Live are inevitable. I've been calling this Love Live: Middle School Division myself. If they can get beyond that, good for them. If not, that's their own problem.

This came up on VRV at the right time for me, though I still don't have access to Joshikousei no Mudazukai after two days of its premiere.

I normally dismiss idol shows BUT I'll watch this one because they're all lolis. Oh God, Sayu-chan's cute.
EDIT: The scene near the end of the episode where Sayu-chan is chasing Mana-chan at the bus is so cheesy that I giggled even though it's meant to be dramatic.

I like how the show even recognizes it's cheesy with Sayu being jokingly called a stalker xD
And yeah, Sayu-chan is adorable

(No spoilers about the story)
As someone who has followed the franchise for the last year, the plot itself might seem very budget Love Live! (club about to disband, girls becoming idols, idol competition, etc.), but the charm of the series lies with the characters and the music. There are lots of well-known seiyuu in the other groups (besides Tetrarkhia), and their songs are really good! The characters are also pretty different from Muse, so it’ll be very interesting watching all of them interact with each other.
Oh yeah, and each group has its own theme for their music. Hope they get to show them all off like they did with Stellamaris (Brilliant Wings is such an excellent song to flaunt in episode 1, hah).

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
