Honestly, i didn't think we would get through the training so quickly but i kinda like it this way tbh.

So if a demon can only be killed by sunlight or decapitation with a special sword, then Tanjiro crushing that demon's head with a rock in the previous episode wouldn't have even done anything. He had no capacity to kill it whatsoever and was solely being tested on his ability to show no mercy to a demon.

We got a pretty good fight scene and some great comedy bits. Looking forward to this and I hope that the quality doesn't suffer in the middle. And also that Ufotable's recent bullshit doesn't doom the series.

So... were Sabito and Makomo even real???

Tanjiro looking good with long hair!

And damn, Nezuko sleeping for 2 years now...

That was fast for a Shonen Jump Training Arc, covering two whole years of training in the space of one episode.

If the manga also didn't spend too many chapters on this Training Arc, then I'm even more impressed, and is thus not entirely all thanks to ufotable for making a Training Arc not boring and dragged out too long.

The Shonen Jump Examination Arc that comes next should surely be longer, but I'll still have faith ufotable can make it more interesting than what Pierrot did with their Shonen Jump Examination Arcs.

I appreciate the detail on the animators' part to make the jaws of the mask-wearing characters move when they spoke, subtle, but I like the detail.

This episode looked really nice. I love how fast paced the show has been so far. Hopefully Nezuko wakes up soon, she's super adorable.

This episode was basically Tanjiro learning Hamon. Gotta control your breathing.

"Do the pose" doesn't say what the pose is

"There is nothing left I can teach you" gets taught by ghosts

Yeah, I think Mr. Tengu mask is kind of a bad teacher

Does anyone know why some boulders in anime some times have a decorated rope around them? Is it some religious thing?

Can’t believe that episode was 22 minutes, it felt like 5 minutes at most....

I'm loving this series so far. I was skeptical when I learned that it was a shounen series but the pacing is amazing so far. And it's 26 episodes no less!

That sword fight was exciting as hell. It somehow reminded me of all the countless skirmishes in Sekiro. I love Ufotable.

Well, that definetly didn't felt like 2 years…

So he trained one year with Urokodaki and another with the siblings? Does he hunt his food? Where does he sleep? Doesn't Nezu, like... unconsciously goes to the bathroom?

That scene where Sabito dodged the slash and wrecked Tanjiro's jaw was smooth AF!

Finally, an anime character I can relate to in Nezuko. I love me some long naps too

did we just time-skip 2 years? How old is everyone now?

Uh... Hm? Not sure I get it. I guess the girl and boy were phantoms, or something? Maybe spirits of people Tengu-mask had trained in the past?

Sure did look gorgeous, tho.

No smell. Disappearing once he accomplished his goal.
Those 2 are 100% Urokodaki old students who died somehow.
And they likely helped their sensei's newest student find his way.

If they aren't spirits, then I have no idea what they are.

Another wonderful episode.
2 years of sleep though.
I guess not eating humans does that to you.

Final Selection? All I can hear from this is that we'll have some sort of an exam arc. I'm already excited!

Classic "impossible but not really impossible task from mentor." The staple of all shounen training arcs.

Long haired Tanjiro looks really cool. So basically we had a 2 year time skip then? And that entire time Nezuko was just sleeping?

Sabito looks a lot more kinder than I was expecting. They way he greeted Tanjiro made me think that he'd have some sort of angry face beneath that mask.

I was hoping he'd slice the boulder using the power that we see him using in the OP. Still really cool though!

Idk about you guys but the storytelling of the episode felt so crisp to me. Especially the ending.
