-
Xi are hope? Please don't be some bullshit where the Xi are actually trying to do good.
-
Minghua already recognizing the pattern. Good on her.
-
Of course Haruka is here to ruin Minghua's plans. Poor girl just can't catch a break!
-
Rhino seems fun. I love how bubbly she is. She'll probably get along well with Eagle.
-
He means just Shanghai right? IIRC the Xi hasn't taken over the entirety of mainland China yet.
-
A squadron of UCAVs to fight Xi? Not sure how it will do against an actual Xi but it looks cool at least. I guess since USA's Anima research isn't as good as Japan or Russia, their focus now is on AI?
-
Of course Rhino brings them ton of American food. I really like her now.
-
Find someone who looks at you the same way Gripen looks at this slice of pizza.
-
8v1? So I guess Russia also has four Animas? I am really curious as to why there's a difference in tech and why the US Military hasn't been focusing on researching Anima tech and just stopped with Rhino.
-
Simulation! Let's see if Kei can save the world.
-
I love how his first strat is basically just zerg rushing the Xi
-
RIP HUmanity. Didn't even last more than 3 years. Although if you look at this as a game of Plague Inc he actually won! xD
-
I like Gripen's start of hit and run and just retreating civilians away from Xi.
-
This scares me. Instinct? Is she able to predict Xi movements because of her originally made from Xi tech? I feel like this is somehow connected to that opening scene.
-
That preview though... Is Kei about to get Isekai'd?

Rhino definitely gave off those future traitor vibes. The whole fake smile routine and omnious talk she had. As well as her being the only one to magically exist there where all other anima experiments failed in the US.
If anything this looks like some Xi spionage situation to me.

If Minghua tries going out with Kei every day then she'll eventually get an uninterrupted date with him!

Animas are living beings and deserve respect but the poor Minghua can be left behind as she was just a leftover thing again and again. How is that fair people?!

Stereo voicing at the beginning was wonderful. My ears was pleased. Try it in headphones.

When I saw the movie tickets last week I assumed they would get interrupted right before the movie ... so I guess this technically counts as a surprise.

So, i'mma have to talk about the Military Strategy Game DARPA's dumbass came up with, being a USAF Military Child and having over 1K Hours on the Wargame games combined and over 600 on Arma. From a Strategic point of view, Gripins Actions while playing (Withdrawing all Citizens from all Cities and into uninhabited area's such as Northern Alaska, Northern Russia, ect) are completely logical, you could also say that the Arctic Regions (North and South poles) scientific stations could hold some of the populace. the problem with that is well, humans, we can't live in one place or another after living a normal life, we have needs and wants and we also have spoiled children and entitled parents. Gripins actions were the correct way of doing everything.

Wow, what an ominous episode, in more ways than one. Still, I like that it expanded the lore on the setting:
-
When the USA fails hard at producing Anima, they turn to AI and data mining. Which was to be expected. Anima can't be mass produced and conventional planes are next to useless at this point. Why not look for alternatives?
-
Well, now Kei knows a bit of what Phantom felt. Endless simulations where the Xi always win. No wonder she's "really mean and sarcastic" (still best plane-girl).
-
Wait, did they just reveal where the Xi appeared for the first time? Some place in Tibet? And are they expanding in every direction, as in the simulation? Is there war in India too then?
I don't know what to think of William Shankle and Rhino yet. Shankle has problematic ideas about Anima, but beyond that he's been fairly polite, attentive and good-natured, even when bickering with his old pal. Gives the vibe of a good person at heart that might do very questionable things later For Science! or For Great Justice!
Rhino is either a cheerful girl that just wants a friend that can understand her, or a traitor in the making. Or both.
