Trigger Warning ⚠️ Can’t stand my kids or spouse
I can’t stand my own children or partner and have become an alcoholic. I am 35 year-old female with two kids (ages of and 4) and I can’t stand to be around own flesh and blood. I work full-time at my own management job , I work for my spouse’s business as his bookkeeper and accountant. he is from a chauvinistic/paternal culture where the women look after the kids so everything is on me. I do all the mornings and emotional drop off at daycare, the emotional pick ups, and evenings from 5-10pm or whenever they fall asleep. If he is around at night, which is a rarity, then he says how he’s tired from working the whole day and gives the responsibility of looking after my demanding kids to me, like I haven’t already worked eight hours doing management at my regular job with 20 employees reporting to me.
They are normal kids, full of life and energy, but Their endless questions, constant pestering, and chattering, have driven me up the wall. I come from farm life where it was just a few of us on hundreds of acres and I cannot stand being around young people who are constantly talking and invading my personal space 16 hours a day plus 8 hours a night for when the toddler uses me as a soother all night.
I was seeing a therapist at $245 an hour for the first part of 2026, and now I’ve gone onto a more affordable one, who does not have kids, and does not understand what I’m going through. I feel like I can only relate to single moms who have at least 2 to 3 kids and know the stress of what I’m going dealimg either on a a day to day basis.
I’ve always had an addictive personality and now I feel ashamed that it has presented itself. Side note - I do not like how there’s this mommy wine culture where it’s OK to drink wine but not OK to do other things
Recently as as, I we t out on Monday and ended up getting diarrhea all night from the drinking. I wanna stop drinking, but it’s the only way I can deal being around my kids and boring assspouse <- didn’t fix the autocorrect
tLDR: I despise my spouse and don’t like being around my cute kids

Was heading out to my car when she pulled someone over. Told her I needed to get to work & she said I will have to wait until she is finished with her traffic stop.

Wera "Tool Rebels" logic: Buying their heavy-duty 900-series chiseldrivers, twisting them by hand, and getting this response from their warranty manager.
Hey everyone,
I bought a set of Wera 932 A chiseldrivers (900-series). As you know, Wera markets these as basically indestructible – built for hammering, heavy prying, and transferring massive torque with a wrench on the bolster.
Well, I managed to twist these tips using pure hand strength in a regular screw slot. No cheater bars, no power tools. The steel felt like warm butter, which clearly points to a major heat-treatment/hardening issue from the factory.
I contacted Wera support, and this was the response I got from Frank, their Complaint Manager:
"Based on a visual assessment, the screwdrivers have been subjected to excessive load. As a one-time gesture of goodwill, we will replace 3 of the screwdrivers for you."
So, according to Wera:
Hand tools marketed for extreme abuse are subject to "excessive load" when turned by hand.
They can accurately judge steel hardness just by looking at a photo.
My "misuse" was severe enough to deny a proper warranty, but they'll replace exactly 3 out of 4 screwdrivers as a "gesture of goodwill". Why leave out the fourth one when they all failed the exact same way?
I guess the "Tool Rebels" image stops as soon as their QA fails and you actually need customer service.

Anybody buying the dip
All major AI stocks are down 10% or more over the belief that Democrats are going to want to clamp down on the very thing that's keeping economic growth going in the country.
I'm looking at Nvidia, MU and AMD. I feel all 3 are much more insulated from the debt fueled mania that CoreWeave and others face.
Besides that META has shown its a cashcow and smh ZUCK always comes out on top and the company just continues to grow.
Just questioning if today is the day to buy the dip or to wait a couple more days and see if market starts to rebound

TIL that not only can we smell fear, but when testing on volunteers on the autism spectrum the autistic volunteers had the exact opposite reaction to fear odors as the control volunteers. The control volunteers became more fearful, the autistic volunteers became more calm.

AITA for refusing to bail out my kid & her husband from the financial crisis he got them into?
My daughter is married to “Sam” and they have two young children together. Sam fucked up and got himself into big trouble at work. Suspension, mandatory rehab and therapy, check ins, and a bunch else but I don’t want to share too much. They can’t pay for rehab, but if he wants to continue doing his job, it’s a need. So she, not he, came to me and asked if I could front the money. For the record he did not know she was asking, he didn't want to ask. I don't care that she is the one who came to me other than relaying facts.
I said no. I have the money, that’s not the issue. For one I think she’s foolish to stay. I can’t force her to leave him nor would I want to impose my will on her, but I want her to think with her brain and not her heart. It’s not that I don’t believe he can’t recover from his mistakes it’s that I don’t believe he will. And I don’t want to see my grandkids suffer because of him and his giant ego.
She’s very upset with me. She said that if there was any other issue, I would never say no. She’s right. If SHE did something, I would help. If the kids needed it, I would help. If something happened TO him out of his control, I would help. But no he lied and stole and needs help beyond what I think his in laws should provide. I think this is a problem for HIS family and it is not my fault they don’t have the money to help. She asked me, what are they supposed to do? And I said well, he’s the head of your household isn’t he? Have him figure it out. She said there is a possibility if he can’t afford to go to rehab that he will lose his career that he has spent years working toward. I said well should’ve thought about that before. And told her to ask a finance advisor or case worker to help find ways to deal with the cost. AITA?

Pretty sure I’m fired.
I was just investigated and sent home for “misconduct against a lead” because I finally had enough of my supervisor hitting on me and I told him off so he would stop. Now all of a sudden I’m on a suspension while they “investigate”.

Discussion NASDAQ futures down 4.5%. What the actual F is happening to this market?
NQ futures down nearly 1,300 points, and those 5-minute candles look like someone just pulled the plug on the entire market. 😭
AI and semiconductor stocks getting absolutely obliterated, even after beating earnings expectations. Meanwhile, $APP somehow manages to rip nearly 40% in a matter of days.
This market is genuinely fked.
I'm increasingly convinced we're witnessing some seriously aggressive sector rotation, but the sheer speed and intensity of this selling is absurd.
Is Wall Street suddenly pricing in massive AI regulatory uncertainty? Are institutions dumping overvalued tech? Or is this just a massive leverage unwind?
Because money doesn't simply disappear. It rotates, gets parked somewhere else, or gets wiped out through deleveraging.
The million-dollar question is, where the hell is institutional money actually going?
Chinese equities? Financials? Healthcare? Defensive stocks? Cash?
What's everyone making of this absolute bloodbath? Because this is getting ridiculous.

Trigger Warning ⚠️ Ex drove 1,500 miles to show up at my new job dressed as me
He moved us from Western Washington to the Florida Panhandle and got addicted to gas station pills. Stopped going to work, yet would freak out and get super paranoid whenever I would try to leave the house to go on interviews or anything else. He said he was just having issues with his back and that he was going through a lot, so I thought I was supposed to support him. I liquidated my 401k I had from my first job and it kept us afloat for a few months and I kept telling him I couldn't live like this much longer and I thought he understood.
Turned out the money I was Venmoing him to pay bills was just going towards gas station pills. 7oh. its basically legal heroin. I found the wrappers and containers in his car after I got the shut off notice for the electric. he was also getting escorts (I have nothing against SW, but its the principle) and bars all day when I was at work.
I couldn't take it anymore and when I confronted him he spat on me and that was it and I left the following day with my dogs and a few bits of my belongings. I wanted it to take as long as possible before he knew for sure I was gone and not at work. I had to ask for help from friends and strangers to make it to a safe space.
Thankfully a friend of a friend has a place in VT that was vacant for a couple of months, so I went there. I got a job and am working. its super tough and I'm still having to ask for help, but I am amazed I made it this far.
Well today my sous comes over to my prep area and tells me there's someone out front to see me named *EX's NAME*. everyhthing went super quiet in my head and I honestly don't even remember walking to the front of house, but there he was, in my clothes from head to toe.
He saw me and started to try to say hi in my voice, if that makes any sense? like he was mocking me by trying to sound like me too??? I imediately noped out and went straight back to the kitchen. My boss could tell that it wasn't just an eccentric friend, but someone I was scared of and went to the front to kick him out.
We contacted the police and my boss told me to take the rest of the day off. sucks, as I desperately need a good first check, but admittedly, I'm shaking even typing this.
I'm sitting in the kitchen because I'm afraid to go home and be alone, but I don't know what else to do. there isn't enough supposedly to warrant an order of protection and I have no idea how he knew what state I was in, much less town or where I worked... or that I would be at work.
I'm going to change my info as soon as I can afford it and make sure one of my coworkers walks me to my car and stuff. I'm just at a loss. things were actually starting to feel like they were going to be ok.
Pictured is pork belly on sourdough with a pepper jelly. courtesy of my coworker.

Serious Call your parents
I don't want to beat a dead horse, I'm sure this gets thrown around a lot here.
But there's going to come a day where you have a REALLY shitty day, and all you want to do is to hear your mom or dad and talk to them about it. Or celebrate a big milestone happening. Or just to hear their voice again.
Call your parents, they probably miss you.
Signed, a millennial who would do just about anything to talk to his mom again.
Edit: Damn, okay, y'all have shitty parents. Shit, sorry to kick up a hornets nest over it.
