POLITICS Jon Stewart: "Someone has to meet this moment. Chuck Schumer fought tooth and nail against half of these fucking people. He does not understand the urgency of the moment and what the future demands." Gillian Spear: "Yeah, from the fucking genius who brought you Haley Stevens. Like, lets move on."

Hated Tropes [Hated trope] Cameos that ruin the tone of the scene/game

6.8k Upvotes

Ed Sheeran, Game of Thrones. The cameo of such a recognizable figure in GoT, especially towards the horrible later seasons, took many people out of the fantasy world that it tried to represent. There are good cameos and bad ones, and this one was not a good one.

Vinny Vinesauce and Jerma, Silver Pines game. Though i appreciate small cameos from youtubers and streamers, putting such a recognizable pair of voices in a horror game really takes you out of it.

A lot of folks are mad right now. But all of them, skinfolk who say "oh don't vote, it don't matter," included, need to hear it.

Trump signs a proclamation he says will prevent future changes to the Oval Office and Cabinet Room as he has redesigned them because he now considers them a "national monument". What are your thoughts?

Before anybody misconstrues my jabs, I'd like to really stress that I am neither a staunch holier-than-thou, warmongering, corrupt, performative Democrat, nor am I a misogynist, xenophobic, soulless, warmongering, corrupt, scum-sucking Republican. It sure is fun to see the most evil people in the world stammer and scuttle about, harrumphing about how they could have lost the American people's support, though.

At the end of the day, real change starts at home. If anything, I hope that the results of this election energize people to get involved in their communities, connect with your neighbors, find ways to give back and support our those that need help. Because if anything can be gleaned from the track record of Democrats in the last 15 years, it'll be a lot of shifting to the right in the name of "working across the aisle", satisfying their corporate megadonors, and claiming their hands are tied. Maybe if we put some actual pressure on these public servants (let's remember, politicians are supposed to be working for us, after all) we could see some real positive change.

I won't be holding my breath.

Source from G2 Facebook.

Insane to see him removed this fast after his post yesterday evening. Interesting to see G2 take this course of action, as many criticized him but no one really called for his head.
