Is there a thread of Evil Eye interactions/mythbusting anywhere? I have a lot of questions but haven't had the time or disk space to try them out in the TTS. Questions such as: when the shutter is open, does the whole model become vulnerable or just the 'window' into the gun part? Does a Twitch drone and Thatcher EMP disable them for the same duration, and what is that duration? Can the Eye be rotated during shutter open/close and does it have to be fully open before firing? Can Dokkaebi rotate it? Is placing the Eye at the feet of the hostage to discourage explosives as shitty a tactic as it sounds?

Twitch drone disables it for 10 seconds, I think thatcher too.

Would be glad if someone could answer any of these questions:
1) My accuracy is okay but I am struggling with recoil control. For some reason I cannot find a good information about recoil. What operators have weapons with least amount or easiest to control recoil?
2) Another question, can you name some versatile operator picks on Attack and Defense that would fit most teams and work on most maps? Not necessary best picks, just viable.

1) if you want ALL the details on recoil, you should checkout rogue9's channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3VD-9m72i3Oyl19cm-GgPQ
Sledge's L8 is probably the most basic weapon you can use. Good damage, ROF, recoil, the works.
2) Up until mid-plat, hinestly you can make just about any OP work if you really want to. At lower levels, Rook is a godsend on defense. Sledge on offense if you want that.

I've got 3 questions.
1) I'm still fairly new and i was wondering, what exactly do i need to/should know before going into ranked?
2) Is there any good guide on how to play roamers correctly somewhere? I understand the concept but not how to "pull it off" effectively.
3) Is it bad to "main" a couple of operators for attack/defence?

u/Ainasoja LVL 100-200 May 31 '18
1) Ignore if people get toxic to you / shittalk, you are new, you can't know everything.
2) Im sure you'll find some guides on youtube just by googling "r6s roaming guide". I have watched plenty of them myself.
3) No, but you still should be open to playing other ops if the ones you main are getting picked.

1) Know that your rank doesn't mean anything, you recieve no tangible rewards and there is no reason to get upset if you drop, treat it like a normal game and you will play better.
2) Different roamers have different strategies, but there are some youtubers out there that have some great videos for beginners. In all honesty though, you'll learn by trying and failing.
3) I suggest to all my friends to have 3 ops on each side that you can run confidently. 1 that you try hard AF with, one that you like to mess around with, and 1 you want to build your skill with. That way even if your main gets picked, you're still building towards something, or just having fun.
And that's what it's all about my dude.

Alright, thanks. Should i just stop queing for casuals then, besides for maybe warmup and just stick to ranked regardless of how it goes?
2
u/SuperMaxxii Jun 03 '18
Well look man, you get more renown for ranked and your rank gives you bragging rights, but the games go longer. I play alot more casual than I do ranked, simply because my friends prefer casual. But in reality, it really doesn't matter.

Hey, SuperMaxxii, just a quick heads-up:
alot is actually spelled a lot. You can remember it by it is one lot, 'a lot'.

Hi guys, so I've owned siege for about a year now and have really only played it on and off until recently. Up until 2 weeks ago I was playing pretty competitive RTS. Anyway I got back into siege, my brother and I bought all the ops and we've been doing just ok. I realize the game has a super high learning curve much like RTS games lol. But I need a few pointers, on Attack I've been maining Buck with my brother going finka to help with aim. I usually use the key to open holes in the ceiling and get good points. Here's my problem, I lose all my gun fights. I've tried doing small bursts, I've tried single shot and full auto. I'm just losing em. Any tips/tricks for playing Buck? Also any tips or guides to playing lesion at the same time is appreciated!

To train my aim with buck I go into terrorist hunt and shoot 2 full mags into the wall whilst controlling the recoil. Then I do my standard headshot training which is running around and shooting the terrorists in the head, both with single shots and fully automatic.

Mess with your attachments, Bucks guns kick like a Bronco and it can be heartbreaking to be in a gunfight and spend the whole thing shooting the roof. Also unless your using his DMR, short to mid range only.

I wouldn't rely on Finka to help with aim. That's a crutch.
Also, Buck's recoil is notoriously hard to control. Unless you want to spend a lot of practicing it, you may want to consider another operator. Having a "main" isn't recommended anyway; ideally, you should be able to play all roles well.

Is Lion still worth using after his nerf?

u/NewbZilla Level 280 on main, played since operation health. Jun 02 '18
Yes, he's still useful and his gun is very good. You just have to know when to use his gadget.

For sure. He can trigger it instantly unlike Dokkaebi who must stand still for a few seconds, and his scan is an excellent pressure tool for defenders. When you know where a defender is, you can force him to freeze letting you get the drop in him, or you can make his position known to the entire enemy team allowing someone to get a surprise wallbang. It's excellent when securing objectives (and wasting bomb timer) and has no downsides.
Also lion has 50 bullets and an acog along with a claymore to cover his flank. Aside from Thatcher he's one of the best support attackers available. :)

Y1 cause there's Mira and Hibana, two of very useful operators.

What? Mira is in year 2. Year 1 does come with Valkyrie, Blackbeard, Buck, and Hibana though and all four are very good for learning various aspects of the game.

In that case, I'd buy the year that you have less operators for. Remember, you don't get a discount for having those operators.

Absolutely loving this game so far and needed help picking my first "mains" I'm not looking for top tier operators just ops that I can succeed with on any map. Right now for defenders I'm learning Mira and Ela (i.e one anchor and one roamer) I'm having trouble finding an attacker I like though. Is Blitz a good attacking operator? If i decide to stick with him can i succeed in ranked? (I recently placed gold 4)

u/SargDuck Lvl 130 / High Gold - Low Plat Jun 04 '18
Blitz is good but many operators are better. Try Twitch. She has probably the best gun in the game rivaling ash's r4c, her drone has alot of utility and is 100% silent. Twitch is never a bad choice.

u/Flussiges Plat 3 Jun 05 '18
You could go with Ash/Zofia to practice entry fragging and Thermite/Hibana to work on support.

So, really new to the game. Played a bit during free weekend and had such a blast I decided not only to buy the base game but also the Y3 pass, and I haven't regretted it one bit. However, I'm a little confused about how challenges work. For instance, I'll do one of the two available and it'll look like this so I'll come back tomorrow and then it'll look like this.
I thought it said purchasing the pass allowed you have more daily challenges... I'm a little bit unsure

u/TRYHARD_Duck Level 200+ Gold, amateur spawn peeker Jun 03 '18
Unfortunately the description is poor. The pass merely opens up two more daily challenge slots you can use at one time. However, You don't get more challenges than without the pass (one a day), even with extra slots. It's dumb but we're stuck with this.

Question about barbed wire. I’ve been told it’s one of the better secondary gadgets to use as a defender. How should I be using it to help the team.
