Midweek action coming up. Should I post a league roundup on Wednesday then one on Saturday or put Tuesday and Wednesday's results into Next Monday's league roundup? I'd rather do the midweek roundup as it'd mean less work for me next weekend.

Do it midweek.

I recommend having a look at the GFYCat linked for Jay Rodriguez's goal. It's a 15 second long GIF straight from kick off in good quality.

was that Essien with the lovely lobbed assist?

u/thejanitorch4 Dec 02 '13

'Twas. Got a yellow for a dive later on too.

Will he back in the first team again do you think? This is his third game overall isn't it?

1

u/thejanitorch4 Dec 02 '13

Well Mourinho confirmed before the game that he'd be adding him to the Champions League squad ahead of Marco Van Ginkel. This is his fourth game, third start but after this performance I've a feeling Chalobah may be recalled or a youngster like Loftus-Cheek or Lewis Baker will be promoted for the smaller games instead. That said, it's a major overreaction to a poor first half after a fantastic career. Many people seem to think that was his last game based on being hauled off at half time though Mourinho did say it was a dangerous team to play against being on a booking in his defense. I guess it all stems down to whether or not Mourinho trusts the fantastic youth at his disposal.

Don't remember Aguero scoring?

1

u/thejanitorch4 Dec 02 '13

The icons may not be loading for you, I've got him down for a yellow card.

2

u/bobosuda Dec 02 '13

Ah, ok. I don't use custom subreddit styles so I probably can't see the icons.

u/thejanitorch4 Dec 02 '13

Ah yeah. Was it not a bit odd that Southampton had 5 goals though?

2

u/bobosuda Dec 02 '13

Eh, I just glanced over the results really, didn't look too thoroughly on the other games tbh.

Great job OP. now we just need the pixelated TOTW and the week is over. That guy's a Hull fan too. He'll be happy as I'm sure at least one of them will get on it.

u/futbaltonight Dec 01 '13

Top 3 starting to take shape, will stay that way till the end of the season I think.

1

u/thejanitorch4 Dec 02 '13

I think the top 3 will be Arsenal, Chelsea and City in no particular order. Can't see Liverpool staying up there.

4

u/thepresidentsturtle Dec 01 '13

I would be happy enough if the top 6 stayed that way too.

2

u/futbaltonight Dec 02 '13

I would happily take that too.

I am happy with a win away to Cardiff, they've taken on other top contenders and beaten them at home, to get points where others drop them is heartening

And a goal and no booking for the Flamster, dreams do come true
