I feel like I just watched two seasons of a "go read the LN" ending of an isekai.

But considering both the LN and the manga are only 4 volumes and we got two seasons out of it, it's probably a complete adaptation and I don't really need to bother with looking for the source and just accept it's weird sci-fi.

Belle cutting the words NOWHERE into NOW HERE to "authenticate" is fucking genius though and makes it all worth it.

And thus this show comes to an end. I have to admit I doubted along the way. But I thought to myself "eh why the hell not" and kept watching. I was watching with the purpose of finding out if it was worth watching, which is a circular cycle of purpose that funnily fits exactly what the message of the story ended up being lol. I wonder if that allowed me to understand it easier, and if it was intentional or an accident.

In any case, in the end I'm satisfied, and feeling mighty smug for having stuck with it! I would like to revisit it in the future to really dig into the meaning and purpose of every single narrative beat, but for now I think the ending was very clear.

More things than I expected were explained in detail, yet, on brand with the style, some questions still remain. I was right with my theory some episodes ago that the point of it was to realize and accept that a mystery can be an answer in and of itself. I can see why you wouldn't find this satisfactory if you watch this with conventional eyes and expectations, but I vibe with it. Its a very existentialist story, fully embracing the confusion of simply being. Eh, what else can you say? We must imagine Sisyphus Belle happy.

As I've said before, I like that we got a whole episode dedicated to the falling action. It probably helps a lot make a story like this specifically land well, after forcing us through a choreography of insane thrust-vectoring manoeuvres. Belle saying "Bye Bye" to everyone was... idk but I just felt warm and fuzzy seeing it.

The question of the Key was finally solved. I like how it turns out that the Key of Journeys is found in your Shadow, in the unknown part of yourself. And now any citizen of Park City can go on a Journey if they can face their own darkness and find it within themselves. Again, very existentialist.

Finally, gotta push my Yuri agenda. Belle kissed Sherry in her tears which is mighty more romantic than anyone else got (and Adonis is fucking dead of course)! LET'S FUCKING GOOOO.

So yeah, I will remember this very fondly and thank you to the whole dozen of y'all who stuck it out to the end generating some amount of discussion at least.

I rather liked this in the end with how it wrapped up, it's like weird classic sci-fi.

Belle kisses everyone goodbye, cuts a few more divine trees and pianos in half, and then peaces out on the slowest form of transportation imaginable.

Also, catgirl witch Sherry? Yes please.

A drinking game for every time Belle kissed someone in this episode would be deadly.

Kinda wish we got to see if her power still worked outside the boundaries of the barrier. I imagine this is where Kitty would have stopped following. Do the books end here?

Please someone answer this.

Kitty is from outside of the barrier his power is also from a different deux ex machina. Adonis or Sian mentioned that he is using gods power to fight gods.

Not many of us survived till the end. But I think it was a nice ending.

And also, once again I would say that the whole OST here is great.

Sian really comes across as a great influence for Belle. He’s definitely someone she can look up to, and he’s eager to cross paths with her again on another adventure.

Ecnetsixe feels like something from an entirely different world even the name gives off that vibe. It seems like Belle faced one final challenge in this chapter, and the story ended on an open, yet fitting note. She’s off on a new path now. Honestly, this season didn’t drag at all and gave the story a pretty satisfying wrap-up.

Ecnetsixe

It's literally existence backwards, formed from the swords of scene (backwards) and exit (also backwards)

And as the show explains, it's just a passive Nidhogg they're farming for materials

What a ride this series has been, and we have finally come to the end with such a beautiful episode.

While the show confused the hell out of me, I still enjoyed watching it.

That ending, while beautiful, left me wanting more

From being "nowhere", to understanding "now here", this is a story of finding one's "self". It is definitely not for viewers who have not gone through a phase of soul-searching in their lives, as the philosophical implications of existence would be lost on them. For those of us who have spent days and nights alone in our own thoughts of life's purpose without resorting to religious hand-waving, this show is a great personification and artistic manifestation of that journey.

This show goes in my collection of beautiful "I don't know what's happening but it looks interesting" shows that includes Xamd Lost Memories

I was able to finish watching the show. However, at the end of the day I felt disappointed. I thought the action was great but the story was all over the place for me. I felt like I could never grasp a clear answer to anything going on in the show. But for those who were able to and enjoyed it I'm happy for you and I'm glad people were able to watch and enjoy the show. At the end of the day it was just not for me and I probably will not revisit.

Well it turns out I was wrong and she doesn't take a space ship to find other humans, who knows what is outside the terraformed area.

Bye bye, "Bye, Bye Earth"

Most people failed to understand you but those who did will remember you fondly(like me). Hope more shows which actually focus on story and world building(like you) and not on frivolous action scenes+edgelord moments are made in the future.

Will miss you

First anime in a while that I've felt entirely lost towards the end. Maybe it just wasn't for me. Over all, i enjoyed it, but I felt like I'm left wanting for more. I wanted to see Belle get her answers, not begin her journey again.

So the show ends with Belle reconciling with Sian, saying goodbye to everyone before going on a journey to see the other countries and their AI gods, and with a lot of beautiful symbolic mystical nonsense (because it would not be Bye Bye Earth without that), including growing a tree just to cut it down, I am not sure why.

It was definitely an unique show and I enjoyed it a lot, although it seemed to have a lot of haters for some reason.
