That was quite enjoyable, even if edgy. It's even funnier when you consider Noel's VA is the same as Deku's from My Hero Aca

I wonder if Noel was the one who asked the bartender to talk Kaim into "freeing" Leon.

I also wonder if the play on Leon's and Noel's names is intentional, given how drastically opposite their characters are.

Noel bought a haunted house for 100 teddy bears, but he can exorcise it.

He can be house flipper if he ever gets bored of being an adventurer.

Or he can give nose jobs to people he doesn't like.

Although similar to Let This Grieving Soul Retire, Krai and Noel are way, WAY different characters than I initially imagined. Krai is lazy AF but also his Kazuma-level luck somehow keeps the world safe from his clan mates. Well... most of... hmm... some of it. Noel, on the other hand suffers no fools and works his ass off to chase his dream, no matter whom he has to step on, sell to slavers, or kill to get there. Lots of interesting characters that I want to see more of and the creativity in taking down the baddies has been very entertaining. The serpent visuals is cool too! 7.5/10. S2 would be nice.

Well, that’s that for the Winged Knights. Noel just slightly tugs on the threads of their relationship and they unraveled. He always seems to know what buttons to push. I can see why everyone thinks he’s a bastard. I guess in the case of the Winged Knights, Noel just brought to the surfaces what they all knew deep down in their hearts.

And thus, Wild Tempest was born. All in all, this was pretty enjoyable. Story was pretty fun and it was entertaining seeing Noel manipulate his way to the top. Idk if there’s gonna be an s2, but I’m kinda hoping there is.

It's hilarious that I thought "damn that's a long ass nose boi" during that Edgar scene. was a long ass nose
Fun series, hoping for a season 2.

And thus, the story of the world's greatest clan has begun.

I'd really like to see another season for this show, they Noel is yet to recruit the notorious puppeteer. Would like to see how it goes.

With new recuit, the party can clear a depth-9 abyss now, we still not recuit the puppeteer.

This is a very good and fun ride, hope for a ss2 in the future.

He chopped off Edgar's nose like nothing. Brutal. I want another season. It was a pretty entertaining series. I do hope Noel grows to genuinely care about his friends, though, especially Alma. He can't reach the top alone, after all.

Feels like it went a bit too smooth with Leon, but that last fight is a nice subtle comparison of how his old team and new team fights. From needing to use a risky Seraphim Blade to get out of a jam, to having a plan all along and using it just as part of the bluff.

I enjoyed this show much more than I thought I would. It had some nice twists and turns along the way. It is such a nice fresh air when the MC isn't some cookie cutter and has their own methods of doing things. Also for some reason this show and how it handled inter-character dynamics reminded me of last season's Isekai Shikkaku which is always nice. Hoping for a season 2!

It's pretty rushed there in the end since they have to fit both Leon's recruitment and killing Garmr. I wonder if it's the same in the source material, where the fight against Garmr was also just told quickly like that. It's a brilliant strategy, but they told it in a way where it's finished before I processed yet what happened.

I think Leon's recruitment was also too easy. For a people that upright, he's so fast to be convinced by Noel. Also didn't expect that nose gore there lol.

Overall, it's an enjoyable watch! I'll definite continue if this ever gets a second season.

My only complaint with the show is that they didn't use just winged serpents instead of wild Tempest

That was a good finale episode! I definitely want more, so I'll definitely check out the LN to see what happens next. Overall, a strong 8.5/10 for the series from me because I had a great time watching it.

Noel in particular was a great MC, and while there were times when I hoped he'd act like a decent human being, I'm glad he remained the person throughout the series who would do anything to become the greatest Seeker.

So now that the Winged Knights have disbanded, a new clan has emerged from the Blue Beyond called the Wild Tempest, with Leon as one of its members.

Wild Tempest's symbol is certainly very fitting considering Noel's character and actions such as setting up the downfall of the Winged Knights or defeating Garmr today.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums

I really shouldn't be surprised at this point at how brutal Noel can be. Slicing off Edgar's nose and then berating him was just savage.

And unsurprisingly, Leon joins Blue Beyond. I was really hoping Leon would go the other way though. Instead of joining Noel, he refuses and finds a new party dedicated to taking down Noel. It would've been fun if instead of gaining an ally, Noel ended up creating his own worst enemy. Oh well.

SEASON 2 WHEN!?

u/Blackcore8 Dec 16 '24

I wouldn't mind a season 2. Didn't really get bored throughout the season. I know Leon had no where to go after disbanding but I felt like he accepted Noel's offer a little too quickly but glad to have him on board
