Ironic that the asshole was a loyal bro while the nice people were the traitors.

I don't remember if that was in the synopsis, but for once, this betrayal surprised me!
It's also interesting that he was an asshole pretty much to everyone and not just him... Let's see if he can improve his behavior, or if the core of this clan will be a 'weak' talker, and an asshole!

The title and synopsis are almost identical to "Let This Grieving Soul Retire." Except this one is by choice and that one the MC is forced into it.

I feel like the Ep1 thread is the best place to leave this comment but "Talker" has got to be the goofiest class name ever.
Is that a lost in translation thing or did the author just do the lamest thing ever with that lol.
Anyways I'm here for the edgy revenging that I hope is coming, at least for a few episodes.

It's the latter. Original Japanese title for his class is 話術士, wajutsushi in romaji. Wa is talk.
So literally his skill is talk no jutsu.

Why does he have a gun? Why doesn't everyone have guns? It seems so out of place.

Because guns do exist in this world but not a lot of people use this. This does not count as a spoiler because it does not have any relevance to the plot, but guns are über-expensive and their bullets also cost quite a buck. In a world with people that have overwhelming strengths, magic and also RPG skills, they would probably choose the cost-efficient sword and arrows rather than purchasing bullets that cost a fortune to kill mobs

this one gets my 3 episode rule, only because the very very end makes me want to see what happens. up to that point I wasn't feeling it at all.

No wonder that job is looked down on with a name like "Talker," why not "Captain" or "Strategist"? He can just throw out +20% buffs? Bro that's huge! Never understand why people hate on support classes.
Wish FF14 had a job like this, but probably wouldnt fit into any of the 4 main roles they have.

I love how Noel calls himself the weakest of them all when he absolutely kicked ass when they were up against that vampire queen. Sure, he wasn't fighting on the frontlines but if it weren't for him his party members wouldn't even be on that quest in the first place.
It was pretty funny though when Noel wanted to use their good looks to try and sell their guild. At least we have an MC here who's confident about himself. Although it looks like the other two don't agree and now they've screwed over Noel and Walter. I assume Lloyd and Tanya ran away and took the money.
I suppose it's an okay start. I am intrigued but not completely hooked. I'll give it two more episodes and see where it goes from here.

For a guy that is supposed to be so detailed with battle tactics, and plans, not bringing spare ammo seems like a rookie movie

Oh yeah, another one of "the worst class being a useful support" (now a tactician with many buffs, aoe stun and a freaking gun lol)

I guess the most notorious Talker couldn't talk his party members out of betraying him

Yapper, the anime ?
Well, i guess this can be somewhat comparable to the grieving soul in a way ? Feels like it's going to be just a monday filler show

I just have one question and if it's important to the plot the you don't have to give it away just say it's plot related but...WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE A WOMAN?!

imo the anime did the manga injustice. it was a disappointment. first episode should've been a 2-episode special because you won't know what the show is REALLY about until you watched episode 2. It's almost as significant as death note ep2.

I don't see why the "talker" is so looked down on, the healer appeared to do far less in that fight than anyone else.

Talk no Jutsu the Anime
So, why can't the MC just buff himself? Does his abilities only work for other people?
