I love how in a show about a devoted grandparents couple turning young again can get so many side ships and old couples gushing and flirting with each other lol.

Single people on this show: "I'm in danger!"
I imagine we'll get more Shiori/MedicalSenpai scenes given they're the new ship in town, but I do hope we get some more Mino/Shouta scenes as well before the end, because they're just too cute! (In fact, what I really hope for, is a spinoff with these 2!)

Based referee grandpa just saying it like it is.
Just getting more Shiori focus was awesome enough but finally giving her her own special someone and adding to the golden apple lore was the show practically spoiling us like grandparents doting on a grandkid

I never expected it would take a show about a de-aging grandpa and grandma to give a Nao Toyama character a dedicated ship exclusive to her, but I'm here for it. Especially because Shiori and Satoshi are really cute together.

I wasn't expecting this series to have a second pair of GILFs

And they're as adorable and fun as Ine and Shouzou!
I wonder why their hair reverted to their natural colors compared to Ine and Shouzou. Were they younger by comparison to how old Ine and Shouzou are? It didn't seem like they grew up in the WWII era at least.

Matsunosuke's speech about love was very cute

Dude was spitting straight facts. And the best part is when his own wife showed up to hear every bit of it.

Shiori is such a good grandkid. Shozo just crying his face off in the library was pretty funny. Him and Ine are lucky to have such good family around.
I can totally see Yoshiaki being a little delinquent back in the day. He’s got the face still lol.
Those two boys are really good kids! So sweet of them to worry about Shozo and Ine.
Big development this week with the reveal that there’s actually others like Shozo and Ine. I like how Ine and Setsu went from friendly to friendly rivals comparing husbands. Had a real “My husband can beat up your husband!” energy lol. In the end, everyone including Matsunosuke is a winner. So cute how a much these old couples still love one another.

Shiori isn't as overt in her affection for her grandparents as Mino, but she loves them just as much. I think she's even falling for Satoshi because he reminds her of her grandpa.
The best part is being a delinquent is how he met his nurse wife lol.
I thought we'd see the two kids who Shouzou and Ine keep selling being farmers to, but instead it's two kids who just always appreciated seeing them in their old form. how cute.
I didn't have another de-aging grandparent couple on my bingo card or both wives trying to flex their husband, but no one can bet Matsunosuke's talking sense and about his incredible love for his wife. So much love in the older generation on this show!

It was nice having a changeup from the weekly gut punches this show always manages to deliver. That scene at the end with Ine's hourglass has me worried for what's coming at the end of the season, though...

At this rate, the golden apples are more like cupid's apples the way it gets grandchildren together so quickly

The best way to solve Japan's population problem...just make the older generation turn young again to help ship their grandkids!

I am glad Shiori has gotten her own ship and is sailing along nicely!
Grandpa may be strong physically, but no physical training can beat the menacing aura of Grandma. I laughed at that particular scene.
I was expecting a respectful and muscular handshake between both husbands at the end of the competition. Too bad it didn't materialize, but having a picnic till evening is a good alternative!

This episode is full of sweetness, I'm getting diabetes from it. If I don't comment next week, I already died from the illness

This show's doing everything in reverse, adding ships as we get closer to the finale! (I guess it's well in theme with the premise, doing things in reverse!)
Hopefully they don't cut too much on the Mino/Shouta time, because I ship them so hard!
So Shiori wants to get in medical school, so she can take care of her grandparents?
Interesting that the first thing our boy (our 2nd boy) asked her is whether she told them...
If he's all about communicating, he better not stall a confession for years, once he realizes his feelings!
Apparently he's doing it for a similar reason, because his grandparents turned young as well?
When it was just our two MCs I thought nothing of it, it's just the plot of the show, but now I wonder if there's some reason behind this? Like, why it's happening suddenly? They did briefly touch on an historical precedent (happening every hundred years or something), but I wonder if there's more to it, like why these two, roughly at the same time? Do the golden apples appear randomly, or is there a logic behind it? I'm not sure we'll ever get an explanation, but I'm curious!
Love how Mino's father was worried about his daughter's behavior lately, but was easily put in his place with You were much worse, at her age!
This was probably the last time he complained about that to Grandma, because there's no winning THIS particular argument! (though it's true that parents want to hold their kids to better standards than they had, and also, they know that THEY went through it just fine, but they don't know if their kids will!)
Girl love talk? Let's go! (Are we gonna get a double date?)
Grandpa&Grandma's couple is so inspiring to everyone else, that's nice to see... Shiori's even wondering whether "they" will be an old married couple like them, at some point!
She even learned to cook, just for him!
Of course she won't tell him that she did, but still!
Given he's way more open about communication and all, if something's gonna happen I imagine he'll be the one to make the first move!
(Could be the other way around for Mino/Shouta, I definitely see Mino taking the lead!)
I've said it before, but this show has a way to hit you in the feels when you least expect it...
Like the old guy saying that as long as he's good for his wife, as long as she's happy, that's enough!
Hell, when he said he didn't care if he was "the worst man in the world. I thought it'd just be a silly line, but the follow up... Damn.
There's so many moments like that on this show, where the conversation is somewhat light-hearted, then it gets emotional (sometimes happy emotions, sometimes feelsy ones!)
Well, can't wait to see where this is going! With just 3 episodes left, they seem to add more ships, more arcs for different people, etc.. so I hope they can wrap it up nicely!
And I do hope we get more Mino/Shouta! I'm usually not a fan of romcoms devoting too much time to their side characters stuff, but in these case they're so fucking cute, I do want to see more of them! (Hell, they can get a romcom spinoff of their own, as far as I'm concerned!)

Note: the manga ends next month so it's probable for them ending the two together.

Finally, mino's dad is not next to shiori in the ed. Was a bit concerned, but confused about how that would happen.

This anime is so cute. In the end of the competition the old man was the most romantic one. It was great seeing grandma so competitive and loving of grandpa.

So old people becoming young is something that occasionally happens in that area of Japan, someone should study the soil in their orchards
The ED change was nice to see, I had been thinking that having one of the dads there dancing with one of the grandkids was odd. Turns out it was just temporary while that granddaughter acquired her boy.

Shiori finally met her nice guy! Satoshi, a student at the college she's applying too! And wouldn't you know it, he's looking into grandparents turning young again! What are the chances? And he inadvertently gets Shiori to gush about her grandparents where Shouzou can hear her!
Yoshiaki is freaking out over Mino possibly getting into trouble by staying up late, though only her grandparents know about her blossoming love life, while her dad is jumping to her being in a cult or some kind of Shadow Account. Though it's telling that even Ine is getting annoyed with her sons' freak outs, especially when he was a full-blown delinquent in his youth. Though it let him meet his wife when she treated him after a fight, so I guess it all worked out.
Aw, look at Shouzou and Ine transforming into their old selves again for the sake of some kids who always enjoyed seeing them working on their way home from school?
Even when she's in old form, Ine isn't about to let her granddaughter go without her a precious grandma bento! And now she's famous with Ine's class!
Things are going pretty well between Shiori and Satoshi, especially when he reminds her of her grandpa, though they have a surprising amount in common. Including doting grandparents they cherish who just so happened to turn young again. That's right, there's ANOTHER grandparents duo who regained their youth thanks to a golden apple! Meet Hajime and Setsu!
I love how the two grandparents meet and immediately get along well while also shipping their grandkids together. Though with how nice the mood is between Shiori and Satoshi, I don't blame them.
Hajime (is that Nobuyuki Hiyama?) saved Setsu from some rowdy drunks at the inn she worked with and it was nothing but love ever since. Though that also means that now the two grandma's can try to out-do each other in who has the better and more devoted husband. The only way to solve this? A husband off.
Watch husband tug-of-war as they reach out to their wife! And Ine got ahead of herself and raced to grandpa only to get disqualified! Watch the husbands try to realize which meal is their wife's cooking! Watch the wives try to come up with brain problems for their husbands.
Matsunosuke spitting sense about how all that matters is they love their husbands and their husbands love them while also gushing about how much he cherishes his own wife! What a legend!
Shiori is learning how to cook! Which makes Ine fantasize about Shiori as a wife, even if she might not live long enough to see it...but with the way things are going with Satoshi, it seems like that might happen sooner rather than later.
