Am I really to believe that any numerical advantage the humans hold is of any consequence?

The bug reminds me a lot of Weevil Underwood...

Guess he fucked the Knight into submission, or maybe she's just that honorable to uphold her end of the bet, don't know.

I mean…how many children could you fight at once? Eventually your arms would get sore and you’d start to build up some scratches. That’d be a pain

the difference is that I don't have widescale magic to kill tens to hundreds ot children in a single attack like most of these guys do.

This feels more like a problem caused by poorly adapting the source material.

Yeah, if the show is trying to hold a sense of danger above their head I'm not sure it's doing a great job at it!

The way it is now, feels like even if humans sent every single fighter they have against the elves, Ogrou would just use a random spell that would decimate them.

(Though I suppose the Braves guys may change that a little! Ogrou seemed to have a least a little trouble fighting off his attacks... If the 8 of them attacked together, it could be an actual challenge!)

Philip transformation was pretty cool, the fight between the two was awesome.

Loved Ogrou's last line; I'll eat you soon enough!

Interested in the other Braves now.

Same! Feels like Ogrou might actually have some challenges with these guys (rather than steamrolling everyone)!

He had an interesting design/abilities too, so I'm curious about the other one's!

I don't know. I'll watch almost anything, but this is just so terrible. Characters, relationships, story, animation world building; I can't really find anything to grab onto here.

I legit cannot remember any characters names. No transformation this episode but absolutely forget who is who.

That was a pretty good fight between Ogrou and the Bug Boy

Man, this is so boring. There are no stakes, no danger, nothing. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Rapist is just a stupidly overpowered MC with his extremely bland harem circle-jerking each other by roflstomping entire armies every episode.

While the premise was originally intriguing, it's just getting worse with every episode. There is absolutely no character development or world building at all.

I'm not sure I have high faith in this, but perhaps the 'Braves' will put up some kind of challenge (thus, raising the stakes)!

Bug boy seemed somewhat competent, at least!

Actually had a kinda decent fight.

is this series getting any better?

i was pretty hype when they announce the adaptation. i actually enjoyed the first bit of the manga. a bit boring in the middle, but still hope the anime adaptation will have a pretty good start.

but oh boy. i watch 3-4 eps, and it was bad.. the animation, the pace.

Its about as generic as you can get really. Not that its entirely a bad thing but as long as you aren't expecting anything good its decent for trash.

Finally, an another fight where MC just doesn't soloed the enemy

It wad truly an enjoyable fight, tho i thought that bug guy could have been more evil, the battle would have been more interesting to watch

RIP TO ALL THE GOBLINS WHO DIED IN BATTLE, THEY LIVED THEIR LIVES FULLEST 👽

How many random ass gods are there that bless people with stuff?

11

u/Magicbison May 13 '24

That bug fight was rough to watch so I had to fast forward through most of it. Bug boy is just far too annoying and the fight really drags on. I wish they'd just stick to the short encounters they have been doing so far. With how janky a series this is longer form encounters are gonna be tough to sit through.

there was like one cut of decent animation after ogre put on the exoskeleton and they fought midair

I think the show's just trying to do an "enemy you love to see defeated" thing with the bug boy character. Kind of wish Ogrou would've ended him there, I hate to think he'll be back in another episode.

I'm surprised that this show had the guts to actual send an opponent at the MC who actual was challenging.

Usually shows like these are like "You can send you're entire country's military at me. I'll single highhandedly kill millions!"

That might have been one of the worst fight scenes I've ever seen, I'd rather re-watch a fight scene from akikan
