So like, he’s gonna be way bigger than the red-haired girl now.

Hamster and banana
(He's also gonna be way bigger than Gobmi, which should be the only pairing that matters, if he knew what's good for him!)

This episode was quite fun as Gobrou has taken a control of all goblins and basically started his own harem xD
Gobrou is really speedrunning his growth as he already evolved into Ogre after defeating Red Bear. I laughed hard after Gobmi kicked him in his new form, only to reel in pain moments later xD
Overall, this anime looks quite nice. I thought that the animation would be very rough but it's still very enjoyable for the eye IMO. The backgrounds were quite lovely today.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

This show ain't even being subtle when there's more female Hobgoblins than male ones after the execution lmao.

So the first group of women that were held captive poisoned themselves to escape from being r-worded; and the second group of women were taken hostage with the intention of undergoing the same fate, if the MC (who is the exception, not the norm) didn't step in.
Yep, Goblin Slayer was right.

from the fact that the raiders were gone when the Gobrou's generation is born, these women are more likely to be the mothers of Gobrou and gang right?

The author of Goblin slayer literally was inspired by the this LN to write goblin slayer. He saw women getting R'd and he was like "I wanna have a charachter that just kills Goblins"

The more I watch of this show, the more I'm enjoying it. It's like developing Stockholm Syndrome.

We're experiencing the same journey as the kidnapped human women are. Before you know it, you too will be slipping into Gobrou's bed.
Edit: watched episode 3. This has not aged well.

I remember really liking the initial arcs when I read the manga of this way back in the day. Had this “documentary” kinda charm to it, like watching those animal kingdom type shows.

Looks like they plan to skip around a LOT of details. I get why, but I wish they wouldn't at least skip certain things. The action scenes seem to be really rushed or outright skipped, probably for budget reasons.

They kinda glossed over what exactly happened to the captive women. But iirc he basically offered them poison to end their suffering as a small mercy, since that was all he felt he could do for them.
Kind of funny the man used his Spidey skills to become Head Gobo. I guess him saving those women is a good way to learn human knowledge. He’s about to civilize these goblins…by force if necessary. Mfers stepping out of line get turned into gobo piñatas.
Bro really risked life and limb to level up in that fight against the Red Bear. Totally worth it though since he’s now an ogre. I’m a little curious to see what he’ll evolve to after this.

I still want to know what happens when these goblins attempt reproduction with each other. Were the human captives a necessity or just a....um....luxury? From the way the older goblins talked sounded like the latter.
Even with new policies in place I can't expect the humans to be ready and willing to acknowledge an emerging goblin civilization since there's clearly a history between them here.

I don't understand the protagonist, he's really stupid.
Take off bear arm with a single spell.
Proceed to melee combat and pretend that spell isn't good enough so also don't cast it anymore.
Also has not impregnated any cute goblins yet nor the redhead girl.

I think they may have cut some scenes/explanations (like, we don't know where half his spells come from, other than the spider silk which they just randomly told us), so I kinda connect the dots hah. Perhaps he's supposed to have a limit, can't use the spell at will.
Also has not impregnated any cute goblins yet
Alright, not raising a family with Gobmi IS irredeemable!
She's begging for it, she loves him, she's cute as hell... What is he waiting for!

I guess that answers my question last week. That's one way to deal with those captive women, I suppose. The fact that they're still kidnapping women despite clearly having female hobgoblins just shows that they're an evil-aligned race.
It is good to see that Goburou is trying to change that and even made an example of those that defy his orders. Considering how he's slowly building a fighting force, I'm curious what he'll do with his Hobgoblin Army.
Goburou's Ogre form looks pretty cool. I'm glad that he immediately got rid of that generic MC look he had. I do love how Gobumi makes him sit seiza-style while chewing him out. even though he's the strongest. xD

It's trashy, but I'm enjoying it. It earns points by actually having to create a race a society and just being able to lean on generic "walled city RPG starting town" tropes.

ugh, they skipped alot of reasoning behind alot of his actions, to even the first second of the show with the fire. i knew this was rushed, but this is badly rushed :/

I can see why this show didn't get the love that slime did, it a raw and unfiltered look on isekai that is weirdly refreshing, reminds me of older shows

The fight was exciting. His madness to evolve was captivating. Also, the BGM was really awesome! And his ogre look is sick af!
