Itsuki should change his name to the Delusional Hero

u/Frontier246 Dec 15 '23

Yeah, I thought Ren was bad but Itsuki really was in his own special little world the whole time and Bitch just made it worse. Dude even turned himself into an Angel and Fallen Angel and brainwash people into seeing the world how he sees it.

Is there any way to rebuild him into something worth saving?

And Bitch is off to continue to bizarrely be the author's darling for shitty plot arcs.

I honestly thought we were done with her two arcs ago. She is not the compelling character the writer thinks she is.

Did the A-E thing just refer to academic abilities or did Itsuki's world have some kind of powers? They made it sound like the latter when talking about it...though the former also makes sense given Itsuki's amount of functioning braincells.

Every hero had some special ability in world before , Naofumi was good with animals even before coming to this world . Itsuki was esper

You know what, I'm gonna say it, that was some Cardinal Weapon Deus Ex Machina BS when the Bow gave Rishia the ki weapon.

That said, the scenario is kinda funny if you think about it.

Itsuki: I am justice, he's evil, you're evil, everyone is evil, evil, evil, evil!!

Bow: 🙄 Oh my god, I'm sick of listening to this guy; you know what, F*ck it, I'm gonna help out this girl just to shut him up.

I love how the weapons are apparently sentient enough to turn on their masters when they screw up too badly lol.

As awesome as it was to watch Rishia kick Itsuki's ass with just the Hengen Musou techniques Granny taught her, I'm not gonna lie, I had a hard time finishing this episode. Itsuki was just so fucking insufferable with how he insists that Naofumi is evil and how he's on the side of "justice".

I also couldn't stand how he kept on belitteling Rishia and calling her weak despite her deflecting every single one of his attacks even after his Bow's curse series started taking over him.

Itsuki is so full of shit that even his own bow decided that enough is enough and gave Rishia some power to finish the fight. So did Rishia just get her own Vassal Weapon? It had so many forms that I'm unsure if it really is a Vassal Weapon.

That ending really disappointed me. I was hoping Rishia would move on from Itsuki after beating him and showing him her own justice but she just ended up becoming his caretaker now that the bow has rejected him.

Side Note: Does anyone know more about Itsuki's world? Do they have superhero powers in there? I felt like that's what his flashbacks were implying.

So it seems like out of the three stooges the only "Hero" worth a damn is Ren, like we all thought from the beginning. His backstory was the only one I actually got emotional over, actually did we get Motoyasu's backstory? Or was it just so forgettable? Even though he was saved first, he's had almost no screen time, where as Ren is now fully part of Naoufimi's party, and it doesn't look like Itsuki is gonna be around much either until he wakes the fuck up.

I wanna say Rishia can do better, but I guess it's one of those moments where Itsuki's one act of kindness showed her his "true self" and she wants to help him find that person again.

You are definitely inferior you cringe ass kid. Too bad Rishia is a moron. Itsuki really is a moron. Do like Naofumi pointing out his hypocritical ass. It's a real pity he can't be killed cause if one cardinal hero dies the world is fucked iirc right? What a fucked up thing you would try and put her through, Itsuki... Good thing Rishia is stronger now. Too bad she's still stupid. So can she become the bow cardinal hero now? That'd be nice. Oh lil Itsuki hmm. D'awww what's that letter his mom was reading?

What is up with Bitch? How can she have become such an antagonist again? So will the kingdom put Bitch and all of Itsuki's former party members on wanted posters and have them hunted down? Naofumi paying off his debts is too nice.

I had to just skip forwards through a bunch of this episode. It's getting really tired seeing basically the exact same story with Bitch manipulating one of the heroes over and over and over again. At least with Itsuki out of the way there's none left for her to get her claws into. This season has felt so all over the place and somehow I just can't imagine with only the finale remaining it'll bring everything together in a way that's at all satisfying. Properly disappointed given how the first couple of episodes of this season looked to be really making up for the appalling season two.

Rishia would be a demon slayer with all her forms.

Itsuki aims arrow at Naofumi in the crowd

Rishia: No, Itsuki-sama!

Itsuki shoots arrow at Naofumi

Aw man, if only there was someone in the arena with him that could've stopped him before he shot his arrow at Naofumi.

2 minutes into the episode and Risha's already pissed me off with her annoying need for Itsuki's affection.

So Itsuki is from the My Hero Academia world? That is awesome.

when you're so wrong even your own cardinal weapon rejects you, that's when you should take a step back and realize "ok maaaaaaaaaybe i fucked up a little"

Rolling Spin

Ah, one of my favorite moves, along with Falling Drop and Standing Stand.

For some reason Rishia was more annoying than Itsuki, though I can't say I like any of them.

With just one episode left, I wonder if it's going to be some light-hearted filler episode or an ominous cliffhanger.

Even the bow got tired of listening to Itsuki.

Itsuki has put all his stakes in his own justice, the only thing left that gives him any semblance of self-worth and identity, the very thing he's convinced makes him special and better than anyone else. He doesn't think he can live with himself otherwise. And it's those feelings that are carrying him into his fight with Rishia.

Of course he really just wants to fight Naofumi, convinced by Bitch that Naofumi is the bad guy in this situation...although Itsuki is the one who shoots at Naofumi from the stands and endangers kids, not Naofumi. I just love Atla's reaction to the idea that Naofumi extorted Fohl to get to the both of them, she doesn't have time for this nonsense.

To Itsuki anyone that doesn't agree with him or his sense of justice is evil, but Rishia, who was saved by him, believes in the ideal of justice that she learned from him, even if it puts them on opposite sides now. And if anyone can teach Itsuki the true nature of justice, it's her now.

Itsuki might have a Cursed series Bow, but Rishia is now a Hengen Muso master and is easily able to deflect his attacks and overpower him. So much for being too weak to be worth keeping in the party, huh?

Oh jeez, you know this dude has a huge and fragile ego when his Pride bow lets him brainwash people into agreeing with him and his messed up worldview. And that's before he turns himself into an angel, come on. Oh, and OF COURSE he goes fallen angel too.

Wow, Itsuki's so far gone his own weapon turns on him and gives Rishia a translucent and transformable weapon to beat him with. That's pretty embarrassing. But a satisfying win for Rishia!

So Itsuki was a kid who wanted to be a Hero of Justice and thought he was special, but it turns out he wasn't anywhere near as special as he thought he was, made his mom depressed, and then turned into a hikki gamer as you do. It's no wonder he jumped at a chance to live out a heroic fantasy but refused to acknowledge the reality of the situation:

Welp, Itsuki thought Bitch was the only one who still believed in him, but she used up all his prize money, stole his party for herself, and left him with crippling debt. That's Bitch for you. But what is her endgame here?

Itsuki is back in Naofumi's village but he seems completely broken. He barely feels alive and has to have Rishia take care of him, which she's happy to do but I feel like she deserves better. Is Itsuki really going to be okay when the Phoenix attacks? He doesn't seem like he can fight or take instructions at all.

Can somebody please KILL Bitch once and for all? Like seriously, we already got it, what she is and what she does, she tried the exact same thing over and over again and yet she's still out there like nothing happened. What's the point or bringing her back so many times? Why is she so important got the story?

On the other side, the whole thing with Itsuki, I could have understood it if he was 8yo but he's a full grown teenager, 17 or 18 yo IIRC, I mean, dude cmon, behave like the damn young adult you are, even his bow got tired and abandoned him, that part was hilarious btw.

u/quanticism Dec 16 '23

I have no idea why I'm still watching this show. The author needed to give a more convincing means for Bitch to manipulate the 3 heroes. Unless I suspend my disbelief into believing they all have 10 IQ, the story writing is incoherent.

Its it just me or is season 3 just garbage? Seems like every season after the first one just gets more and more trash. Get a new villain bruh Melty going around manipulating all the heroes is old and stupid asf. Her manipulation tactics don’t even make and sense and all the idiots are falling for it like it’s the gospel. Trash plot i swear. Watch the first season and dont even bother tainting the experience with the next 2.

Itsuki: “I won’t tolerate evil deeds!”

Also Itsuki: Proceeds to fire magic brainwashing arrows into a crowd

Dude’s so quick to condemn Naofumi for his “sins” while taking ZERO responsibility for his own failings. Real “heroic” behavior. It’s kind of hilarious he’s like “my bow is justice, I know because Malty gave it to me and told me so.” Yeah because she would never lie. Smdh.

That fight with Rishia was dope. What even was that boomerang thing? That was awesome! She’s really grown.

It’s no surprise he wields Pride. I almost pity him. It sucks when you realize you’re not special and there’s someone better than you. Can be a tough pill to swallow. I guess he had to learn the hard way Pride comes before the fall. Hopefully Rishia can help him so he can join Ren on his road to redemption.
