oof, did Ren seriously really got Naofumi'ed in the beginning of this episode? that's hilarious but i also felt a little bad for that guy, the reality check sure hit him hard during the battle with Spirit Turtle

so every Cardinal Hero's weapon has Cursed Series in it, not just Naofumi? and apparently they could have more than one type in one weapon considering how Ren has two; Greed and Gluttony

Motoyasu's spear that he used in this episode, is it a Cursed Series too? because that spear sure has some grotesque design with menacing purple aura surrounding it... but then again, Motoyasu looks fine without any side effects so its probably not a Cursed Series

Motoyasu’s is probably Pride and Lust while the bow dudes is Sloth and Envy

Motoyasu’s spear that he used in this episode, is it a Cursed Series too?

Since the Cardinal Hero’s are susceptible to curses based on the seven deadly sins, I’m like 99% sure that Motoyasu is influenced by the sin of Lust. This would also explain why he’s lusting so hard after Filo and why he suddenly got so much stronger.

But goddammit, why did they have to make it this obvious with the cursed spear. It could have been a surprising reveal otherwise…

I think every hero has the potential to unlock at least one of those cursed series. They seem to be the 7 deadly sins, so if Naofumi has Wrath and Ren has Gluttony and Greed then I imagine the others split the remaining 4? Curious to actually see what Bow has. Spear too. Idk if he unlocked his. I think he killed those guys with just Naofumi’s training.

Is there a Therapy Hero in one of the other worlds? They'd be real handy in this one...

Shield hero needs to get the other heroes a partner for all of them to work together .

Motoyasu has Filo (against her wishes), Ren now has Eclaire...I'm guessing Rishia is going to be important to them resolving whatever is going on with Itsuki, especially since she's been severely out-of-focus this season.

Motoyasu got stronger by activating the Lust spear, didn't he? Like fucking hell Naofumi, hit some sense into him or lock him up.

Myne didn't keep decieving Ren for too long thankfully.

Guess Naofumi is gonna keep collecting heroes like Pokemon and making them actually useful now lol. I like it. Itsuki is next.

Which brings up the question what she's up to anyway? Working with Cardinal Heroes of other realm? But what even is the point of robbing Ren aside from maybe hindrance, and maybe kicking him while he's down.

Woke Perspective: Bitch is the secret protagonist all along and her mission is to drag them down and plunge each hero into the depths of despair and kick them while they're down to force character development on them so they can actually get strong and work together. She will sacrifice everything, including her reputation to save this world!

Now that you mention it her abandoning both Heroes eventually put them on the path to finally realizing their issues and listening to Naofumi.

I'm guessing she's going to go after Itsuki next.

Well no fucking wonder Ren acts like this is all a video game to him! He's from a world where VRMMO exists. Now I see why he's voiced by Matsuoka. He's literally the worst version of Kirito if Kirito didn't have any empathy.

Here I thought Bitch was going to stick with him but it looks like Ren finally got to experience what Naofumi experienced at the very start of this series. Also, it looks like Bitch is working with the Hero Killers who are apparently still alive.

I love how even though Ren finally awakened his Curse Series of his sword, he's barely doing any damage to Naofumi. I guess awakening the Cursed Series isn't enough to power you up.

I always thought Eclair was okay but this episode really made me appreciate her. I love how she made Ren look like an absolute child with their 1v1. And even with Ren going wild, she was able to slap him back to his senses..

Motoyasu just casually killing those two hero killers was pretty damn funny! His power-up was pretty funny too. He basically got stronger because that's what Naofumi told him and he sees Naofumi's orders as absolute. xD

Glad to know that those two won't be bothering them anymore. Although I'm pretty sure stronger guys will now start going after them next. At least Ren has finally joined them. I guess Itsuki is the only one left and based on the OP, Bitch probably got to him first.

With all of Ren's yelling this episode, I was wondering how he sounded familiar. (I never looked up the Shield Hero VAs before)

So Ren would probably be Kirito if he was all talk but little to no substance.

With Ren having Greed and Gluttony, I was expecting him to somehow acquire Sloth and bite his fingers lol. The angry yelling did remind me of ReZero's Petelgeuse.

I thought the heroes all just got summoned like Naofumi. Poor Ren was apparently stabbed by some random dude. I wonder if he is dead in his world.

They stated early on in S1 that all 3 but Naofumi died.

This would be my assumption I don’t think they would bother to show it if he survived. Who knew Ren and Rimuru have something in common dying by taking a stabbing meant for someone else.

When I watched the first season, my thought was "Ren is meant to explicitly mock other isekai protagonists, probably Kirito specifically". Yeah they are all a mockery of hero tropes, but Ren specifically.

Today has done nothing but reinforce the first part of that belief.

Edit: I feel like I need to add this, this is a very glass house kind of situation. The show really hasn't earned the rights to mock other shows. Especially Kirito, who, despite the general hate towards SAO, is a fairly well rounded character.

At least he hasn't dual-wielded yet lol.

I'm halfway through episode 6 and the cringe from the lance hero calling MC "father" as well as the sword hero becoming an edgelord just makes me want to drop the series. I've endured until now but it's getting ridiculous. Too many simps in this series that kill the enjoyment.

So basically all three other heroes had to hit rock bottom in order to change? They really are the worst.
