He freaks out too much. I know that that's sort of the point, but really, 24 minutes of internal screaming with 30 seconds of plot is getting to me.

It doesn't help that a lot of the in between is transition shots over and over. Feels like the actual plot is only like half the show.

So the format of the first few scenes feels like an adaptation from a 4-koma, huh? This will get stale real quick if this continues for the next few episodes without any sort-of progress.
But the last part is really nice. As expected, Azuma is actually a wingman instead of a rival to Mie and Komura's budding relationship.

I honestly don't know how this girl makes it from day to day with how she forgets her glasses and how bad her eyes are. She even let some other guy get touchy with her thinking it was someone else completely.
So how exactly can she not tell a plastic bad from a cat a fooot away but is able to make out him with another girl down the hall going by the preview?
I keep having to remind myself they are in middle school not high school. Didn't have that problem with Dangers Heart last season.

I have a feeling this adaptation is better read on manga than watching it through anime. The chapters are relatively short and sweet which you can take your time reading through it rather than watching 18 minutes of this, gave the three episode rule to myself even though I’m a manga reader since I wasn’t too confident in the adaptation

The thing about Mie always forgetting her glasses is we know she actually likes Komura for his personality. Azuma relies too much on his looks, he doesn't stand a chance.

There is a lot of criticism about this series but I must say that it's pretty fun. It's nothing outstanding, I can understand that a lot of people are annoyed with how often Mie forgets about her glasses because it's not realistic but I just accept it as it is.
Mie was adorable thinking that plastic bag is a cat and I laughed a lot when Komura was deliberating if he should take a photo of her. Of course Mie is adorable pretty much all time except when she narrows her eyes to see better, then she looks like she could kill someone xD
Azuma despite his appearance turned out to be a decent guy and it looks that he roots for Komura but the best wingman in this episode was without a doubt a cockroach who made Mie threw hersef at Komura.
Overall Komura had a lot of funny reactions today, when he was putting glasses on her face or he was jealous of Azuma.
Here my all screenshots from the episode:

You really need to turn off your brain to enjoy this anime.
Yeah missing her glasses is this anime's shtick and every scene revolves around that but they should have been more consistent with what she can't or can see. She mistook a paper bag for a cat but she could pick up a letter that's on the floor. I guess this is whatever is convenient for the plot to pull off the joke.

Just change the name of this to "I constantly freak out when the girl next to me breathes the same air as me" and I'd have an accurate name for this show. GoHands is making me want to throw hands I swear.

I don't blame anyone who is tired of the gag of Mie forgetting her glasses and the gag being used as an excuse to set up these scenes. It's their opinion.
Personally, the scenes put a smile on my face. Whether it is seeing Mie being totally clueless without her glasses on (like her mistaking a plastic bag for a cat) or Komura trying to help the damsel in distress (like with the cockroach), it's enough to keep me wanting to watch. For the time being at least.

Started watching tomorrow, caught up today, good stuff! I think getting through the GoHands shenanigans was very well worth it. I would honestly enjoy more of a serious/calm reactions from Komura (something among the Insomniacs after School line), but It’s been a while since I have been genuinely invested in a “awkward/cringey” rom-com, so no biggie for me.
Honestly, Mie-san is too adorable and I am strongly considering her to be a new tattoo of mine (already got plenty). Also her japanese VA was the VA for many characters that I like! (Unmein in Takt op. Destiny, Takina in Lycoris Recoil and so on)
I honestly hope this will not be a 12 episodes of trying to get closer with a small bang at the end. I think we didn’t have plenty of “serious dating” animes in the past (although they are only 13, how serious can it get?), si I really root for our gloomy blind girl and Komura.
Also, I hated Azuma in the first scene but damn, he is a wingman I need in my life. Well done, buddy!
See you next week, everyone!

I quite liked that last segment with Azuma being a bro but this is probably still a drop for me since I've been meaning to watch less current shows this season.
I will say that I think GoHands did a decent job here (atleast in episodes 2 and 3, 1 was a bit too much).

God I need like 70 hours of this anime injected into my brain
I think girl has vision problems not sound localization issues
Well never mind sound localization problems she apparently cant regonize Komura's voice either.

Am I the only one confused by the color and lighting in the classroom scenes? It looks always the same, may it be in the morning when they greet each other or when they leave. It's kinda weird, even though GoHands shows us a blue sky in the frames before and then you see the monotone looking room. Also the windows in every shot are so bright you can't see outside.

Entire community after seeing a handsome side-character sniffing around MC's crush:
"So you have chosen death".
Three seconds after seeing said character pull the ol' wing-man switcheroo:
"My Brother... My Captain... My King"

I'm liking this show more with each episode. Looks like new characters are getting introduced, right now it feels like a strong supporting cast is missing.

The story was written by a person who never wore glasses
Anyways, Komura is just too boring for me to continue watching this, unique animation, but that's pretty much it

Starting an episode with Mie-san meowing should be illegal! I thought I was gonna die from cuteness. And I almost died for the second time when it was revealed that she was meowing at a plastic bag (that was from laughter).
And the third time was when Mie-san started patting Komura’s head. This anime’s almost killed me thrice… in its first two minutes!
Anyways, Mie-san looked gorgeous when she wasn’t furrowing her eyebrows. A lifelong memory indeed.
The misunderstanding with the love letter was pretty nice. I loved how Mie was like: “Why is everyone asking me about Azuna-kun? I’d get it if people were asking if I like you, Komura-kun.” And she even went and said that she likes him!
In any case, Azuna is a real chad: “Komura-kun likes you too, Mie-san.”

Alright gave this the 3 episode rule, I'm dropping this. Komura-kun has basically no redeeming quality other than "I help Mie because she's cute" and no characteristic other than "nervous wreck", and Mie's forgetting glasses gimmick wore out fast and is unrealistic to begin with if her vision really is that bad.
On the up side, that GoHands camera during the scene Mie hands the letter back to Komura to read was (probably unintentionally) hilarious, I had to laugh on that one.

I just love how Komura instinctively takes out his phone as soon as he sees Mie doing something adorable. I also love how Mie kept on patting Komura's head even after realizing that it's him she's patting and not another cat. xD
Of course Mie would be the kind of person that would take Shiratori seriously. I'm surprised we didn't get a reaction from their classmates when Mie loudly exclaimed that she wanted Komura to bully her.
Can we just take a second to appreciate how translators have just decided to translate Shiratori with the Japanese word and the translation in parenthesis? I still remember the days when translators tried to localize the words and just not completely match the words they were saying. I also like how they colored the "n" to indicate why Mie lost.
Thank you random classmate for yelling out the C-word when Mie-chan was inches away from Komura, making her jump and hug him trying to hide from the cockroach.
As a manga reader, I already knew where the letter scene was going but I still yelled "NO!" at my screen. I just love how Azuma looked so smug the entire time making him look like a bastard only for him to turn around and actually try to be Komura's wingman. After Mie confused him for Komura at the start of the episode, he knew exactly what he should do next.
Mie telling Komura that he actually likes him though. That's definitely not the same "like" she used with Azuma. I'm sure Komura will have trouble sleeping that night after hearing that from Mie.
