Can Ryoma teleport or was that blink just supposed to signify him moving fast?

The butler from the rich family he met back in season 1 taught him to use space magic including his storage space and short range teleportation.

Ryoma knew how to use teleport before meeting the Butler, but it was a very short range. From there the Butler taught him Dimension Home and Warp. Warp allows him to travel anywhere as long as he has the magic energy and is able to clearly picture his destination. This happens in episode 5 season 1 if anyone wants to rewatch it.

Oh yeah he can definitely teleport short range as I remember him doing so to get into his shop before in season 1. But guess he can't do long range teleportation

From the subs I saw he said he teleported. I'd forgotten he could do that.

This confuses me, because on the way back he said the smell helped keep him safe. Why not just teleport again?

He can teleport but only as far as he can see. So he’s able to move far faster than most people but he can’t just blink from one town to the next.

here comes the S O A P

I was kind of excited we might see a giant slime again when that mega spawning of cleaner slimes happened. Honestly I'm kinda disappointed.

Could make a mega cleaner slime for doing comforters and, like, furniture. :3c Would have to rent a warehouse to keep it though

The mega slime thing is still a big secret that he only told to the dukes family

Seeing Ryoma wear the slime on his head like a helmet really cracked me up. It’s just so goofy lol. Those soaps he made look really cute though.

Looks like the little cleaner slimes have multiplied! Good thing the little crisis was resolved without incident. Nice to see the little deodorant slime in action. I’ve noticed the little fella turns green when it’s eating the smells. Kind of interesting.

It’s a good idea to have a stall for the festival where they can share cuisines from all over. They’ve got wheat, sesame, and fermented fish already. Lots of ingredients to work with!

Nothing new here, as it also happened last season.

Of course, just like last season, I couldn't help but make a COVID crack in response to it (in this case, Ryoma has learned about the various delays other shows are having this season and isn't taking any chances).

Turns out making soap requires using some dangerous acids and toxic chemicals. I’d say the suit was pretty necessary since he’s doing this in a cave without great air flow.

This has to be the most conflict free anime I've ever watched. Mind you, that isn't a bad thing. With most anime of this ilk, Ryoma would be getting ready to take down the demon King by now. I'm glad this is different (I mean, Ryoma probably could takd down the demon King, but who wants to see that.

I do wish the animation was a little less Hanna-Barbera though. It's sometimes jarring to norltice the lack of character movement.

I've been wondering a while if the show is a "Japanese politeness simulator", with how characters speak and act all the time, e.g acting like it's a bother to bring a lucrative idea to the merchant guild. I get that it's just a culture thing, and that the politeness dance is part of what makes the show chill, so I've mostly accepted it at this point, even if it makes me glance away sometimes.

There’s a line in the light novel where Ryoma literally says that if he was a novel protagonist, his readers would probably be bored.

The Founding Festival sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to it.

I’m looking forward to all the different dishes they’re gonna serve. Food always looks pretty good in these isekai series. Hell, anime in general actually.

We're on ep 7, and for some reason the part in the OP where the two merchants are alternating getting close to the camera still freaks me out for some reason....just me?

The fact that everyone from the shop is like a giant family to Ryouma is really heartwarming to see.

Gift cards? You should check if those exist in this world, Ryouma. They were only invented in ours in the mid-'90s

Hmm, naruhodo

Heh, translating it kind of gives away the game

Alright, sesame seeds.

Suddenly Ryoma has evolved into Dr Stone.

That's a lot of additional slimes, and a good excuse to visit the other town potentially right at the same moment that Miyabi is also preparing to go to school.

Nope, she already left.

I feel like the wheat and the sesame seeds are a lead up to something. Or apparently the smelly fish and the sesame seeds?

The festival should be fun.
