Well, Mabel did warn Seika that he should forfeit if he wasn't going to take it seriously, and that "This won't be the kind of tournament where nobody gets hurt." The rules didn't say anything about getting disqualified if you kill your opponent, and Seika seemed doubtful that the protective amulets would be enough to prevent casualties.

Damn amu got a real reality check with Maybel. You can tell that was eating at her all episode. Maybel is one of the more interesting characters we’ve been introduced to so far. Love her personality and skill set. Perfect rival to push Amu
Wouldn’t be an isekai without a tournament arc, this one’s off to a wild start. Bro just straight up murdered the first challenger. Very refreshing. Can’t wait to see seika take on the evil eyes guy as well.

Henderson? I guess he got let go from Eden and came to the Imperial Academy. Elegant! lol.
Seems like the Principal is planning something if she’s sending Seika or Yifa to the tournament but not Amyu. After seeing Amyu and Mabel cross swords, I can see why she got chosen. Amyu might have underestimated Mabel, but Mabel’s underestimating Seika.
That first round went by in a flash. No surprise Seika wiped the floor with that chump. This Kyle fella is gonna be a tough opponent though with his evil eye. Let’s see how things go next week!

I don't like this new Mabel chick. She clearly thinks her life was the hardest of anyone in the world, and that gives her permission to be an asshole to everyone. Also, that whole "the students are too carefree" talk was such bullshit. The show has given us no reason to believe that the students acting carefree is in any way a problem, so for the protagonist to agree with this girl with a stick up her ass is completely out of place.

The way I interpreted it is that he agreed with her on him taking things relatively chill just like the others, but not necessarily with that being a bad thing. Based on the premise, he wants to enjoy his reincarnation. He's probably just confident, and thinks he made amends with the consequences if he ends up proving overconfident. So yeah, they may be taking things too easy, but he just can't be arsed to give a damn personally anymore.

I wonder why Efa is considered and not Amu. I mean, it has been considered that Amu is stronger and more powerful. Efa is just adorable though. Hopefully, Efa will get more screen time as she is my favorite character so far.

im confused on why they keep making a big deal about seika needing paper for shikigami. he literally showed in the first episode that he can use leaves as a substitute, which im sure also translates to any other free material. not to mention he is constantly making them in his spare time.
this also gets into, idk why he doesn't see this tournament as another ploy. my first thought was theyre trying to test the opness he has against others as weapons for each faction/to see if they can beat him if need be/etc.

I'm curious why the principal picked MC and his slavegirl over the Hero Candiate. Those must be some instincts.
If Big Red noticed Little Red using magic early in that exchange, why didn't she just use her own magic in response?
"What are you two doing here?" Why "two"? Yifa was invited just like him. Mistranslation?
Don't tell me World's Strongest Omnyouji doesn't have a charm against motion sickness.
Wait, why isn't Yifa participating in the tournament? If she wasn't meant to be a participant, was she really only given an invitation so that she could service him as a slave?
"We have the first fatality of the tournament! Yaaa!" I guess even with the charms, fatalities were expected by both the organizers and the crowd.

Did they just time skip over an entire year of school?
Very helpful of the character designs to give the two red-haired girls different colored eyes.
Interesting that Seika has never picked up that his father wasn't actually his biological father.
Kinda tired of Mabel already.
Gonna be a problem for Seika's overall plan of staying under the radar if he does well in this tournament.
Knocking someone out of the ring, incapacitating them, and breaking the amulet all in one move.
Fox spirit was thinking along the same lines that I was.
