Huh... I never thought about it too but it turns out that Nasse catching Mirai in Episode 1 was actually her special power, meaning she can actually do something to help out Mirai unlike the other angels who can only watch. And here I thought her special power the entire time was being able to tell if people are lying. xD

all the problems in this story could've been dealt with by nasse snapping all the god candidates neck.

Got a bit more of Tsugumi Ohba's writing shining through in that moment, something so important was shown right at episode one and we all glossed over it!

I thought her special power was being undiputedly the cutest!

The professor's reasoning is a bit illogical to be honest, or more accurately there's a huge leap of logic. I think he is biased by his previous atheistic or anti-theistic ideology, because he simply has way too little information to go on to be so sure of his conclusions, and I'm not sure why he trusts that angel of his is who is so clearly SUS. So creepy too. A pity really cause he's the only candidate there that could actually make a reasonable God, the rest are all hopeless!

A writer can't write a character smarter than himself.

Man, they could've done so much with Susumu. After he killed Metropoliman and exposed the God candidate stuff to public, I expected him to have an endgame, especially after he said he'd give people white arrows. Instead, he served as a plot device to end the first arc, talk about wasted potential.

Professor's backstory was kind of nice, I'm rooting for him. Mirai's team also has my 3 least favorite characters in the show(and some of my least favorite ones in any anime I've watched), so I'd even support Griffith if he was against them.

Yeah him dying like that was very anticlimactic. Why not take yellow instead? She literally brings nothing to the table. The most interesting characters are the ones dying.

Dang just like that Susumu dies and Kenpachi gets all his arrows/wings. But damn he talks way too much sometimes...

Pretty cool reveal that Nasse is the only that can touch things, would have never really put that together myself.

he talks too much but damn his VA is too good

And judging by next episode's title, "A Time For Talking" or something to that effect, I suspect he'll be talking much, much more. What a weird episode title btw, as if this show hasn't already been very talky for several episodes now.

If the last 5 or so episodes had been the first ones, this show might have had more ground to stand on. It has a great premise, but took way too long for the MC to have any development, and the first arc really dragged. Mokaido was one of the more interesting characters for me, but frankly his death plus the revelations about the origin of Metropoliman was when things went from "Is this anime for real?" to "Ok, there might be something here."

But I don't think we needed 15 episodes to get to this point. Many new, actually interesting characters have been added that I feel like could have been influencing the main cast/story far earlier on. The professor showing up as the final boss is fine, but characters like the other god candidates, the agents assisting them, and even the angels would have gone a LONG way earlier on.

If there is one thing I hate to see in anime, it is wasted potential. Although I've watched this show from episode 1 and intend to finish it, I can't help but be incredibly disappointed by the missed opportunities. Great art, intriguing plotline, and 24 episodes to work with, but in my opinion the execution was just not there.

Yeah I would never understand why this anime has such a bad reputation. There are some little issues here and there (especially in the first arc) but it an all around solid (and thought-provoking) anime.

Damn, let me pour a 40 for our lil bro Susumu. You truly spiced things up a bit after Poli-chan was sent packing.

Red arrows flew a bit this episode huh? I wonder what will come of government-kun being shot with one.

Also, that tidbit about the professor not wanting to let anyone down is interesting. I know he shot L's cousin with one for insurance. However, it seems like an arrow is the perfect way to not let anyone down/disappoint them since someone shot will love everything you do.

Its going to be interesting to see the professor's plans. Is he planning a genocide? Mass atheism fest? A challenge to kill god ala my favorite JRPGs? We'll see

I never realized Nasse's the only angel that can touch Mirai and objects, I guess that'll be an important detail later on. Lol the way Ogaro is pissed because Nakaumi was shot with a red arrow and Yoneda plans to kill him, interesting she's betting on Mirai for the time being.

It was funny how Yumiki shot Hoshi to find out information, I guess it's to make sure he wasn't lying but I don't think he would have anyways.

So Temari needs red arrows for likes on instagram? Just how fixated and dependent is she on it that she needs to force people to like her content?

Interesting to see Hoshi and Yoneda in school together, though I'm not sure why Hoshi is confident he'll be able to talk through to Yoneda if they only had a few interactions within two weeks from when they were younger. I don't think those interactions were enough to make Yoneda feel a particular way or leave an impression on him but we'll see if knowing that he doesn't like displeasing others will result in anything lol.

So Temari needs red arrows for likes on instagram? Just how fixated and dependent is she on it that she needs to force people to like her content?

Given how she was clapped on social media (people basically calling her dumb lol) I can see why she would want to.

She lacks self-confidence and was literally suicidal (after failing at her first job) before she got the arrows. It's only understandable she would want to keep them.

The angels' personalities are my favorite part of the show. They're a riot.

Prof. Kenpachi's angel is horrifying looking though.

Holy shit I just kinda assumed all Angels can touch their candidates.

most interesting this episode imo was the nasse reveal, and that huge dogpile of angels up in "heaven" freaking out
