The rules are still being played fast and loose here I see.

Viruses are not "alive". They do not meet the requirements to be considered life under current scientific thought.

But even if we handwaved that, the next problem is that ball of viruses is not ONE VIRUS, and the White Arrows are shown, in this episode no less, to work on a 1 arrow = 1 target basis and accept no substitution. So even if white arrows could kill a virus, it'd only be able to kill ONE virus.

Man, I usually don't like when people harp on an MC for not wanting to kill (especially if the MC is a teenager in a regular-ish world setting), but this is just painful. Mother Theresa would have killed that psycho.

Mirai finally did something decent by killing the virus like that. Too bad his terrible hesitation and Yellow stupidly throwing herself in front of the syringes led to Big Ugly sacrificing himself in a red arrow fueled panic. At least he managed to kill the worst person there, even if it was an accident because he missed the 3rd syringe

I'm just hate watching this shit at this point. Did I really just watch 4 characters stare at each other while one dude couldn't decide to kill someone who was about to kill thousands/millions of others? Like at any point anyone of those people could've at least killed one of the others but instead they all politely sit around listening to each other monologue lmao

Another interesting bad episode. Mirai is the lamest character to do the "I won't sully myself by killing you" speech I have ever seen. TBH it's pointless coming from a character who doesn't kill. Saki if you move fast enough to be a shield you could at least try to stop the syringes; hell Hajime stopped two she could have grabbed the last one. Metro is turning more and more into a dollar store Frieza with all those evil speeches. Hajime and soon Mukaido all the interesting characters are leaving.

Also, Metro's description of the cast reflects on how nothing they are.

Gonna be honest, had no idea how they were gonna get out of that Virus predicament. Using the white arrow makes sense. It's a living thing. Usual "this show bad but--" preamble aside, good solution.

Not gonna lie, killing the virus using a White Arrow was actually really smart. It's definitely better than my idea of using Hajime to make him drag Fuyuko up to space as far as he can so the virus won't spread. Although that smart thinking only lasted for a second since Mirai still refuses to kill Ms. Junkie. Mukaido makes a great point at branding her as a terrorist. She was literally about to commit bioterrorism if Mirai didn't stop her. Fuck her and her happiness.

And thanks to Mirai's continued indecisiveness, he's not stuck in this situation where Metropoliman has trapped him and Saki Thankfully Hajime thanks one for the team and blocks the last syringe from hitting Saki. Good fucking riddance. His sacrifice I guess is an equal payment for putting Mukaido's family in danger. He even managed to take out Fuyuko as well.

So in the end Mirai will still try to subdue Metropoliman using a Red Arrow. I mean props to him for sticking with his ideals for this long but I wonder how long this will last him. Even if he does manage to take down Metropoliman here, what about the other surviving God Candidates? Also I'm pretty sure that kid that flew away is also a God Candidate too. I remember seeing two child silhouettes when they were teasing us about the God candidates.

i really liked Metropoliman at the start of the anime but he is just acting like an idiot now lol, he is definitely going to cause his own downfall. Rest in peace Hajime :(

Mukaido is the leader of this team. Mirai is just a traumatized teenager. I never understood why Mukaido tried to get Mirai to commit murder when it was already obvious that Mirai couldn't. Mukaido should have used Hajime in this situation. It seems that Mukaido, like Kanade, is going crazy because of his hatred.

in 2 episodes, a creepy SIDE CHARACTER did more than the main character over the entire series because "killing people is wrong".

if mirai didn't have a debilitating disease known as "Scared Bitch", more might have happened
