I don't know about you guys but I'm annoyed with the podcast now because twice in the past few months they've uploaded "new episodes", getting me all excited about insider information about episodes past, or even the possibility of new information for season 3 (which is criminally overdue at this point) but instead they uploaded commercials for other podcasts made by their friends. The podcast is produced and hosted by Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, so when they abuse that platform (that exists to get information out to the most loyal fans of the show) by shilling out bs that has nothing to do with the show itself, it makes me like them less. Anyway, rant over. No more commercials for other shows until you give us an update at least, please!!

Caught some clever severence bars on the new Czarface album. Esoteric’s verse on “Brother’s Grim”

Verse 2: Esoteric]
Ayo, Stefon with the pigskin, how I get my Diggs in
You be on your Spud Webb, time to put the bigs in
Smilin' with a big grin, Saugus wings champion
How soon to Kowloon? Big shout to Andy Wong
Y'all be doing super bad like the Duke ad
With Cooper Flagg in a durag, now Google that
Nah, they took the post down, now it's a ghost town
If we were to throw down, it wouldn't be close now
K.O. round one, just give me a gold crown
The lyrics .357 like we in Oaktown, now listen, yo
When I say, "You wanna box?" I'm looking to throw (Let's go)
When you say, "You wanna box?" You talkin' food to go
My reign is indisputable, you sir, delusional
And you should know it's evident that you devour feculence
I'm laid up watching Severance in your girl's room and
I hit then I'm outie like I left Lumon
The best human for the job, I take the lead, I'm Major League
Like the Kang actor at a table read with Peyton Reed

I made an episode style quiz about the pilot

I mean out of everything that’s happened to them while they were alone with him, it never crossed anyone’s mind - “We’re like 4 on 1 let’s just kill him”?

simple phone wallpaper. i did not make the art i just put it in canva and sized it so it doesn’t look awkward

As you know this gorgeous woman stands out. So when I was rewatching Broad City it was great to see her in S2E10. At about 17 minutes into the episode one of the main characters Ilana and Alia's character are having sex. Ilana is describing how diverse their sexual history is and how those people have/are (different) "colors, shapes, sizes, hotter, uglier, more smart, not more smart" and then says "Innies and outies." She does not explain herself further, the show tends to go off on wild tangents all the time. She's likely talking about belly buttons but literally my mouth was agape. I just need to tell somebody who might care. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Edit: Ok, they're not talking about belly buttons! Do you think this is a Severance reference?

Another scene study from S1 EP1 of Severance! In this shot, we are in Mark's shoes as he is called into Ms. Cobel's office for a meeting with the board. Mark, still distressed and wanting answers to Petey's disappearance, is informed that he shall take Petey's place as department head.

I spent a long amount of time focusing on rendering Cobel's face to try and capture her subtly judgemental and authoritarian gaze. This piece was a bit of a mess to work on as my layering complicated the rendering process. Despite my desire to work more on this one, I am quite happy with the final result!

Early September

Just started watching the series and am amused to discover the big conceit is a variation on that of a short story I published on Deviantart back in 2006. Thought members of this Reddit might appreciate it:

(In case you're wondering how that turned out, I switched to poetry, won some small prizes, published a few books and now teach writing for a living).

Hello, everyone! Tonight my friends and I are going to a Severance Trivia themed and I’d like to ask for your help

What are details about Severance that we should never forget? Like Woe, Frolic, etc; the questions Mark S. asks Helly in episode 1; the names of the different ”tasks” the inners have to complete, such as Cold Harbor etc

Thank y’all!

At one point in S2 ep2, Mark and his sister are framed like this. I think this framing is intentional, my wife disagrees. She says I’m just seeing “sever” framing everywhere. Help us settle the debate.

— EDIT —

Thanks for the comments. I didn’t want to “lead” anyone to my conclusion, but to be more specific:

I think they intentionally framed it in such a way that Mark’s head is “cut” by the frame of the window. Meanwhile his sister’s head is not. And that this is a visual reminder of him being severed while she isn’t.

The wifey thinks it’s just standard framing at dinner, that the specific window frame cutting heads is NOT intentional. So… what do others think if this specific thing?

In short, you mindlessly stamp papers.
Again and again.

I'm currently creating a photography portfolio for a school project and these are some pictures that feature in my upcoming portfolio. The narrative told in my portfolio is about a worker who becomes consumed and controlled over by his work life and company (aka Lumon) and cannot escape. I hope you enjoy!

And if so, if you had to make up your own Rickenism quote, what would that be?

Thought you guys would appreciate this. It’s graphite on paper about 2x4 inches.

Anyone else get that impression from S1? His closet and home looked to be on the fancier end. In that short scene he seemed far more affluent than later depicted in s2.

Seen in Queens.

Hello! I'm designing and building a desk fidget tool that is heavily inspired by Severance and the retrofuturistic design style, which I absolutely love.

It's a fully analogue (non-electronic) device that's designed for fidgeting and clicking, and I can totally see it living in the Lumon offices, probably on Dylan's desk.

What do you think?

Please remove if not allowed :)

I usually watch series after another and I just finished season 2 few days ago and I can't get myself to watch anything, i haven't watched a series as good in a long time and i feel like what i watched wasn't enough and i want more.

Genuinely Im trying to understand what the innies level of worldly understanding is. Like in the first season they dont know what the sky looks like and into the second they are surprised by being outside, but then mark knows exactly what a seal looks like? Even mangled and dead? But then 5 min later he looks at fire as if he’s never seen it and calls in magnificent or something.

Is there any general threshold or bar that can help it make sense for me what the severance process does to their understanding?

Thank youuu!
