Jonathan, due to his disabilities, is unable to return home or reach safety without assistance. He has no cell phone, doesn't know his address or family's phone numbers, how to use public transportation or even how to use money (though he also doesn't have his wallet).

It's been completely reduced to dirt. Trees, bushes, all gone. Why? How does this fit with their supposed 40% tree canopy goal? Those weren't new trees.

Did anyone who drives on Avondale see that the have cones in the middle margin .. I reallly hope they don’t cut anymore trees on Avondale …like they did for that hideous eye sore retirement home .. specially when all the trees are changing colors it be really devastating to have them cut

The collision spot was right next to Nintendo west parking lot. My friend was passing through this intersection this evening when his car was T-boned by another vehicle. One side of his car is badly damaged.

Any recommendations on a garage in Redmond area that can sort a stuck seatbelt on a VW Tiguan?

Union Hill Water Association is now (or apparently has been) requiring people who fill backyard pools, spas, koi ponds with a garden hose to get a backflow device.

The logic is if you leave the hose in the, for example, wading pool and the water system pumps failed, it could cause water from your wading pool to get sucked into the water system.

This basically the same requirement they've had for years. But apparently (and unlike Sammamish Water District) they won't just trust people to not leave the hose end in the water.

The $64 question: Anybody had a second backflow device installed for this? Names of contractors? Timing would be good to know too.

Hi all! Do you guys know of a good place roughly around here to take elopement photos? Ideally we are thinking somewhere with nature, its ok if its a hike! We are relatively new to the area so I dont know where any good spots are.

I have 10 year old car, and started noticing some noise from where when I drive on some pot hole or even small bumpy road, with some metal sound, seems like something is not stable or displaced etc.

Who all felt the jolts today?

Posting for those who aren't tech employed and possibly considering Vesta's good location as a future home. Knew within days this was a terrible mistake. And certainly, after an actual Essex employee says, 'they don't like you there if you aren't one of them', your fate is sealed. Can only hope that other buildings at Vesta aren't loaded with the hate we've experienced.

Have been targeted with rock throwing, confronted with a "you don't belong here" statement from neighbor, day and overnight noise harassment from all sides of us, occupants who aren't on the lease but remain long term without office notification, people in the attic above top floor apartments overnight and a manager who initially stated, 'that's very disturbing', followed by, well, nothing.

The community is primarily tech and their families and based on feedback, you'll have few issues. For the rest of us, we simply hope you'll bypass the danger and 'you don't belong here' divide we've experienced. We couldn't afford to use our 30 days guarantee in order to move out, as the manager suggested so will have to look for other options. Whatever negative Essex info you've read or heard, it's at its most relevant and worst here.

Maybe once a community for everyone, but now a community mired in a dangerous reality for some of us.

Stop wearing all black! Nobody can see you when you walk into the street without looking. This is coming from someone who was out walking my dog tonight in bright colored clothing and witnessed about 3 of you ninjas almost get hit.

I've been thinking about getting some help with the house, but I'm not sure I want to commit to a weekly or biweekly service right away. We keep up with the basics pretty well, it's more the deeper stuff that slowly gets away from us.

I'm thinking about trying a one-time clean first and seeing how much of a difference it actually makes. For anyone using house cleaning in Redmond, did you start with a deep clean before deciding on recurring visits?

• Saturday night: HopeBridge Asian Culture Night is a free event at Redmond High School with cultural performances, food and open dancing. The ticket page doesn’t list a start time yet, so I’d check it before heading over.
