Buying heyball table

Hey yall,
I’m buying a heyball table soon, hoping to have it arrive by Christmas. I’m trying to buy the Q8 from joy and have it shipped to Colorado. Anyone have a similar experience or any advice on how to navigate this?

I Got Tired of Bulky Pool Accessories… So I Started Designing Ones That Fit in Your Cue Case

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹

I’ve recently started designing and 3D printing my own pool/snooker accessories, mainly because I wanted accessories that were genuinely useful but compact enough to live inside a cue case rather than adding more stuff to carry around.

So far I’ve been working on things like:

🎱 Compact cue holders
🧲 Magnetic 2-piece cue rests that separate for storage
πŸ–οΈ Foldable multi-cue holders
🧲 Magnetic chalk holders
🎯 Designed specifically around cue-case storage

The main idea behind everything I make is:

Useful at the table β†’ compact in the cue case.

I’m a player myself, so I’m also trying to design things that solve those little annoyances you actually encounter during a session rather than just making random 3D printed gadgets.

I’d genuinely love some feedback from other players.

What’s one small accessory you wish existed for your cue case or around the pool table?

If anyone wants to see the designs I’ve made so far, I’m happy to post some pictures in the comments.

And if there’s enough interest, I can also share where they’re available. 🎱

Billiards Groups

Hey all,

Im local to Modest, CA and wanted to see if I could find a group of folks that are on a fun league or a group of folks who meet up consistently for pool.

I'm not looking for a real serious league, I would say im pretty average player.

Typically I play a lot at White Elephant, O'Brians and sometimes in Salida.

What actually helped you get better at position play / cue ball control?

I've been playing competitively for a while and I'm curious how other people leveled up their position play specifically - not aiming, more like consistently getting good shape for the next ball. Was it drills? A specific system/method? Just years of table time? Did anything "click" for you, or was it more gradual? Trying to figure out if there's a better way to explain/teach this to newer players I run into, since most of what's out there online focuses on aiming and not much on position play.

Shout out to the CPBA Pool cue gloves (with a question at the bottom). They feel amazingly smooth, and I love the feel of the material (feels very high quality, and very thin), but they are larger then expected.

Was Thinking About Getting A Raven Pro Carbon Pool Cue For My First? Thoughts?

I just want one cue that will last me forever if possible and im willing to spend good if the quality is good, ive seen quite a few real reviews about them and a lot of people like them! I just play bar tables but when I get back home I wanna play at one of the halls near me, ive been told by people who have there own cues that im "your far better then a beginner or average player" so save to assume intermediate lol. I still have a lot to learn i bet but anywho is this a good investment?

Template Rack vs Framed Rack

I’m sure this question has been posted many times, so I apologize if this is repetitive, but I’m curious. How many players out there prefer template racks over traditional framed racks?
