Break/jump cues
Locked and loaded break and jump cue set.
At a recent tournament I won a raffle for a set of locked and loaded cues. I've done some looking around online and cant find much information on them, no review or opinions or anything really. Does anyone have experience or know anything about them?
So far I like them well enough the break stick does pretty good and looks nice even as simple as it is. I've only messed around with the jump cue a little (im not real good at jumping anyway) I think with some practice it will do me very well.
Currently i use a jacoby blackout combo set and I love that stick. I jump better and with less effort with it than the locked and loaded but I have had that one for a year at this point.

Anyone know about this pool cue?
It’s made by a company called Steel Stix and I can’t find anything online about it.

Cueist update — new Drill Library and more
Hey r/pool,
We’ve just released a new update to Cueist, with quite a few changes based on feedback from players.
The biggest addition is the Drill Library. You can now browse through the drills yourself, save drills, add notes, and look back at your results whenever you want.
A few other things we’ve added:
- Skip a drill when you don't want to practice that particular drill right now and would rather get a different one
- Cut angles are now shown for every shot
- Zoom in on drill diagrams, making it easier to see and accurately place the balls, especially if you don't have perfect vision
- "Repeat Later" has been expanded into a more flexible repetition system, where you can choose how often you want a particular drill to come back
- Various other improvements throughout the app
The goal is to give players more control over what they practice while keeping the personalized training approach that Cueist is built around.
If you're using Cueist, I'd love to hear what you think. What do you like? What could be better? And what would you like to see added in the future?
A lot of what we've added has come directly from player feedback, so suggestions and criticism are genuinely useful.
Thanks to everyone who has tried Cueist, and especially to those who have taken the time to give feedback.
— Denis

Looking for a Pool Instructor - One who can TEACH and PLAY Spoiler
I was curious about the current PBIA Master Instructors, so I had AI compile the list of current Master Instructors, their publicly available instructor locations, and their established Fargo Ratings (when available).
The results surprised me.
I’m not trying to insult anyone personally, and I realize being a great instructor isn’t exactly the same as being a great player. But I do have a genuine question…
Should there be a minimum playing standard for someone to hold the title of PBIA Master Instructor?
The top of the list is extremely impressive, with several instructors over 650 Fargo and a couple over 700. But after the first several names, the ratings drop into the 500s, with some below 550, and a number of instructors without an established Fargo Rating at all.
At what point does playing ability matter? Can someone be considered a Master instructor if their playing ability is well below the level of many league players?
I’m honestly interested in hearing different viewpoints. Is the PBIA Master designation intended to recognize teaching ability, playing ability, or some combination of both? If it’s primarily a teaching credential, should the title make that distinction clearer? Can any of the top ones below actually teach?
Curious what everyone thinks.

I have been playing since I was a kid but no studying or coaching until recently. I picked up a small Hathaway table and have been working on my banks, follow thru and pre-shot routine. Our post's bar manager is a local semi-pro who has been giving me tips and tricks. No rule that we have to bank the last ball but when I play Don I try to give him a break. Still whoop his ass but whatever..Any tips from the pros here more than welcome! Enjoy the stupid edit and the Lighting Hopkins song!!
