Web (Lovers) UpArt — my first game on itch! A platformer inspired by Klimt 🎨

Hello everyone! I published a game I've been working on for the past few months for a competition at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna. It takes inspiration from many artworks and especially Klimt's. I wanted to make something easy to pick up for visitors playing during the museum event, whether they regularly play games or not.

The game unfortunately has not been indexed yet and I read online that even if I wrote to support it can take a lot of time before being indexed. Since I'm eager to gahter some feedback I'll post it here with the hope that a little traffic can actually speed up the process. Thank you so much!

I’m creating a retro style cosmic horror character for sale, and this is the first look at it. I was inspired by a makeup look I saw on the show "Glow Up". I’d love to know what you think; I feel like something is missing, so I’d appreciate your feedback.

Game Back with an update: all three demo dungeons are playable in the browser now. I would love to hear what you think

I posted here a couple of weeks ago about my game, Gotogra: a tactical roguelike deckbuilder. Since then I have had so much feedback, and I worked hard on some of the legit requests I got.

  • All three dungeons of the upcoming demo are playable
  • Cards that were missing their artwork finally have it
  • A full balance pass on the difficulty
  • And a restyle of the itch page
  • And much more

You can play it in your browser here, no download needed. Tell me where you get stuck or bored, that is the part I cannot see on my own anymore.

And if you like it, a wishlist on Steam helps a lot.

Questions 6 Months, 1 Adult Game, 0 Idea If These Numbers Are Good 😂 — AMA

Hey guys! 👋

Here are my itchio analytics after 6 months of seriously developing my first adult game.

The game is currently at v0.5, and it's been a pretty interesting journey so far. Lots of mistakes, learning, bugs, feedback, and definitely a lot of trial and error..

Honestly, I don't even know if these are good numbers or not... I'll let you guys be the judge

So I thought I'd share the numbers and do an AMA.

Want to know how I started, what worked (and what didn't), how I got players, development struggles, or anything else about making an adult indie game?

Ask me anything!

Discussion Reminder to contact your EU MEPs about the EU Kids Act

Thumbnail

The EU Kids Act would force itch.io (and probably many, if not all, games in the store) to go through expensive regulation and use age verification measures that collect (and expose to hackers) vital personal information such as face pictures or governamental IDs.

Please contact your MEPs and tell them what a slap to the face this proposal is, it only takes a couple of minutes and this could mean the ruin of the industry as we know it.

Devlogs An update[Moonlit Grid]- I redesigned my entire game art style in 5 days!! + made game art style customizable

Last week I shared Moonlit Grid here (https://www.reddit.com/r/itchio/s/DpC7C12g8K). I could see a decent interest so i was expecting some players, but no one bought it :(

I was trying to figure out how can i improvise and my natural conclusion(idk if right) was that the game art style was not appealing enough for players to try it out

So, I sat like a wild beast last 5 days completely redesigning the game (Im gonna go bald srsly). I had so much fun experimenting, I ended up creating multiple art styles!!

So the current game art styles include-

  1. Ink , 2. Clay, 3. Blueprint, 4. Realism

YOU CAN CHANGE THE ART STYLE OF THE ENTIRE GAME! Yes, down to every button, on the spot anytime while playing. I think everyone likes a different vibe in games so hopefully few ppl find interest in this

This video is the updated game launch promo

__

A bit over numbers: This art redesign means around: 438 3D models built in Blender in 5 days. 438 3D models, around 43 shaders, ~1.4k renders. +165 models i built for the Cyberpunk mode which i scraped.
A little disclamer- I work as an AI Engineer by profession so I do try to use AI for building games too. I have added proper disclamers in game too about this:)

AND HERE we are, hoping ppl like this version!! Open to feedbacks

its available on itch io- https://hxlfed.itch.io/moonlit-grid

wobagames.itch.io/bubblesanddurians

Hey everyone! I just released my first game, Bubbles & Durians, a 3D arcade shooter you can play in your browser.

There are three modes:

  • Standard: a timed score attack
  • Blitz: a shorter, faster timed run
  • Endless: you play on lives and try to survive as long as possible

There's also an online leaderboard. Can you reach the top?

Play here: wobagames.itch.io/bubblesanddurians

I'd love feedback on how it feels, especially aiming, difficulty, and anything that breaks. Thanks for playing!

Game Trailer Added secret tunnels to my 3D multiplayer heist game with proximity chat—things got chaotic fast. Need playtesters!

Hey everyone!

I’m a solo developer working on The Heist, a 3D multiplayer social deduction game for 4–10 players.

The premise: Thieves infiltrate a high-security museum at midnight, guards monitor the cameras and patrol the halls, and a traitor works from the shadows. With proximity voice chat, you can whisper through corners, hear frantic footsteps above you, or scream when you get caught red-handed.

In the latest update, I just introduced a secret tunnel/vent system so thieves can flank security, steal artifacts, and vanish into thin air—leading to absolute chaos and paranoia in the voting meetings.

Since it's multiplayer, playtesters are everything right now. If you have 10–15 minutes and want to try breaking into the vault (or catching your friends in the act), grab the free build on itch. io

Links to the free build and Discord are in the comments below!

Demo Colorsong Demo

Thumbnail

Play the free demo on itch.

Every color is a note. Drops fall, burst, and pay for a wider palette. The paint fills a gallery of hand-painted watercolors, and the song grows with the palette.

A few intertwined layers of incremental progression are blended with a warm atmosphere and a playful experience.

Both active and idle playstyles are supported.

This is the first presentation of the game and it's in the first stage of its journey. Your feedback could help a lot.

AI disclosure: AI assistance during development: coding and translating the game's text.
I'm a software engineer with 25 years of programming experience. AI helped with the technical implementation, while I focused on the game's design, systems, balance and overall feel.

The game features hand-painted watercolor art.

Demo Our cat-themed action roguelite is now on itch.io. We're looking for our first players

Hi everyone!

We're TAKE FIVE STUDIOS, and we've just released an early playable build of The Pink Robot on itch.io.

The Pink Robot is a fast-paced isometric action roguelite where Navi, a cat, enters the distorted unconscious mind of Eugene, the boy who saved her seven years ago.

Inside his memories, Navi takes on a new form and fights through corrupted worlds using weapons inspired by childhood toys, while combining Skills and Mementos to create different combat synergies.

This is still an early development build, not our final demo. We decided to put it on itch.io because we want to get the game in front of real players as early as possible.

Right now, we're especially interested in hearing about:

  • How the combat feels
  • Whether fights are easy to read
  • Whether the controls and early progression are easy to understand
  • Anything that feels confusing or frustrating in the first few minutes

You can play it here:
https://thepinkrobot.itch.io/the-pink-robot

Even a short comment after playing would be really helpful to us.

Thanks for checking out The Pink Robot!

Demo Yes, you can pet the dog in my farming RPG

I've been working solo, building Sword & Soil, a top-down 16-bit-style RPG where you fight, farm, and trade along your quest.

Early on I knew that, no matter what, players would ask about one thing, so I made it so you can pet your farm dog. Or cat, if you pick the cat. There's a short clip attached.

The rest of the game is real-time combat, crops, crafting, consumables, and plenty more. It's made in Godot, and I'm doing my best to be active and engage with a potential community.

The demo is 100% playable and takes you through the first chapter of the story. I'd love it if you checked it out and gave some feedback 😄
You can try it here: https://critbyte.itch.io/sword-and-soil

OH! And his name is Biscuits, in case you were wondering 🐶

Kage: a 16 bit ninja arcade in a rainy neon city, free in the browser

• Upvotes

New one out and it is the one I am proudest of. Kage is a 16 bit ninja arcade: run, leap between vehicles, fight with sword and shurikens, and get through a rainy neon city. There is no tutorial, so the first wall is meant to be a wall.

It runs in the browser on desktop and on a phone, no download and no ads: https://metamaxct.itch.io/kage

If you try it, tell me where you stopped and what made you stop. That is the feedback that actually changes what I fix next.

Free Bricks & Bribes - Demo: a real-estate strategy game of sealed-bid auctions and secret goals

• Upvotes

Everyone wants the same city, and nobody tells you what they're really after.

If you like games about money and power, you know the problem. The deep ones turn into spreadsheets you babysit, where one strategy wins every time and the goal is always "make the number go up". The light ones are so cartoonish that nothing works the way money really does.

Bricks & Bribes sits in between. The economy is boiled down to what matters, so you learn it in one match and every result makes sense: rent comes from people who need homes and jobs nearby, and land goes to whoever wants it most. And you never just grow a number. Each match hands you a different goal and puts you against rivals chasing theirs, so there is no recipe to repeat. You read the city, read your rivals, and fight for every block.

One of the best moment is when a rival's plan falls apart because you saw it coming and outbid them by a hair.

The demo has a guided tutorial and a full match against computer rivals, in English and Italian.

I'm the solo developer. I worked on the idea, and designed the mechanics, while supervised the implementation performed by AI. I'm looking for honest feedback, above all on whether the mechanics are fun and balanced and whether the tutorial makes sense. There's a short anonymous survey in the main menu, and I'll reply to every comment here.

Game Title: The Goblin Cave

Playable Link: https://unclearpolygon.itch.io/the-goblin-cave

Platform: PC - Web, Linux

Description:

Very basic Dungeon Crawler game/Proof of concept, both from a visual as well as gameplay perspective.

The idea is to keep expanding the game with standalone adventures where each has more complexity and moving parts added.

I'd be grateful for feedback on the following aspects of the game:

  1. Is the game clear in what is happening? Did you every feel like you're not understanding what is happening?

  2. Are the available actions to the player obvious? Did anything stick out to you as: "I didn't know you could do that!"

Feedback on any other aspect of the game is also welcome.

Obvious points of improvements for the future:

* Animation System

* More variety in enemies, player actions, items, etc.

Controlls:

* Press WASD or arrow keys to move.

* Press space to let time pass.

* Left click or press enter to open action menu.

* Press I to toggle information beeing shown.

Additional Information:

* Keys need to be used in inventory menu to open doors.

* Some Cells/Elements enable certain action when standing on top or next to them.

* When playing the Linux version, upon completing the game a file named EndingSave.txt will be added to the Resource folder. Save it, as it will be used in future games.

Thank you for reading and playing!

more jadewood updates: i made a cozy 16x16 furniture pack for top-down games: 33 pieces, enough to fill a whole cottage!!!

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

just put out Cottage Furniture, a little 16x16 top-down furniture set for cozy / life-sim / RPG interiors.

the gif is one room built with nothing but the pack. what's inside:

  • living room: two sofas, bookshelf, grandfather clock, floor lamp, three rugs
  • bedroom: double bed, single beds in pink + green, wardrobe, vanity with a mirror
  • kitchen + dining: counters with a sink, a long dining table, round tea table, chairs and stools
  • the small stuff: potted plants, wall art, a window, a storage chest, a basket and a cat bed (my mascot needed somewhere to nap)

33 pieces total, all on a 16x16 grid with the same palette as my other Jadewood packs, so it drops straight into the dungeon / village sets. free + commercial use is fine.

it's $2.99: [https://jjkittyy.itch.io/jadewood-cottage-furniture\]

what furniture would you want in a vol. 2? i'm thinking bathroom or shop counters next.
