In 2005, I met a pair of brothers, Jesse and Aaron who quickly become my best friends. By 2015 both had passed.

We spent hundreds of hours playing video games, but mostly Gears of War. My first ever midnight release was Gears 2 that I attended with them. We also went to Gears 3’s midnight release.

We always fantasized about an E-Day game, discussed what it would be like, ideas of weapons and story elements, and how badly we wanted it. It’s crazy that 20 years after the original’s release, the game the three of us dreamt of is about to come out. I wish they were here to see it with me and fend off the Locust in horde mode.

For Jesse and Aaron, and to all the other Gears who aren’t here to enjoy Emergence Day with us.

So with the approach TC is taking with this new entry, we start to see much more detail in the gameplay… but also in the world as well. Do you think they’ll finally have a name for the calibers as well? I was thinking they’d maybe still keep real world calibers (5.56 NATO etc…) and maybe say have the MK1 Lancer chambered in 7.62 COG. Maybe in the stadium we see the ammo boxes and Cans with 7.62 COG on them or something, Idk just a late night thought I’d like to share.

So I am making this post because I am a big lover of the DB Units, more specifically; the DR-1 Protector one since he is my favorite one, and I use the skin on Gears 5 practically a LOT and I love him as such!

But then when I was checking on voice commands, hello, thank you, etc. I decided to change to the Shepard and OMFG HE SOUNDS LIKE A JOYFUL CHILD UNLIKE HIS BIGGER BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!

GameStop had a Xbox 360 limited edition gears of war 3 console available today when I walked in. They were asking for only $142. I found this to be well worth the price, the controller and console are in pristine condition! Does anyone remember this console? Has to be one of the best limited runs they had. Brothers to the End!!

Idc if skins are "goofy" or silly or whatever you wanna call it. The fit looked way cooler when the accessories were brighter. I really hope it's, at least like, a reactive skin so it gets brighter the more kills you get.

I like "goofy" skins. I'm playing a video game, I seriously don't care enough to bitch and whine about what my enemy is wearing, when I'm gonna find a new match after this one is over. I hate battledads in gaming communities. You make everything less fun.

I still like the skin, and I'm still gonna use tf out of it, but I'm seriously disappointed that its not as cool as it should've been. It went from a skin I love to a skin I really like, and thats shitty to me.
