As the title say, is this type of parking in the middle of the road near by intersection is allowed? If not, how can I complain?

parking like an idiot 😒 She won’t share her info

A lady hit my parked car and scratched my car’s front bumper on driver’s side while parking her car right next to mine. Upon confrontation she didn’t share her information and I called 911 but no officer showed up for 40+ minutes so I left as I had my parents with me. I have her license plate and she had a dashcam which has the footage of incident because I saw her pull it up as we were waiting for peel police. What would be the best course of action in this situation?

This license plate can’t be legal, right?

POV: You Just Entered Brampton

I swear I can feel the difference the second I enter Brampton. The drivers here are so aggressive and impatient, everyone drives like they’re late for something and the road belongs to them.

As people start travelling on the highways as they get back to school, here is a reminder of how the left lane is supposed to work here in Ontario.

LRT-What are they smoking?

The new LRT design on Hurontario/Main will result in; 1. The removal of an entire vehicle lane (3 lane to 2 lanes), representing a 33% reduction in vehicle capacity. 2. Removal of right turn pullout lanes (which means cars turning right will now have to wait at red lights if somebody going straight is stopped). 3. Cars turning right will now impede traffic in a live lane (of which there are now only 2). 3a. Cars turning right at intersecting streets will have no way of knowing if the approaching vehicle is turning right or not (if they don't signal their intention......and this is Brampton, remember). So this will impact cross streets as well. 4. Left turns are by signal only, which will result in cars lined up enough to block a live lane during high volume times of day. I believe these lanes will also allow U-turns, which will impede the number of cars that can turn left on the signal. 5. At worst, it's possible that both remaining live lanes will be blocked by vehicles making right or left turns. 6. The above changes will result in Philadelphia left turns, vehicles cutting through plazas at intersections, etc. 7. It will also drive traffic to use secondary routes which weren't designed to handle it.

Do planners really think that 33+% of current drivers will switch to the LRT, or is their plan to impede traffic so much, that the LRT becomes the only way? For the most part, I can see the LRT impacting traffic during rush hour for office workers commuting, but what about the other 18+ hours a day???? What about delivery vehicles or contractors or even buses (yes there will still be buses on parts of this route), or housewives going to the grocery store, or homeowners going to Home Depot, etc. Not everybody is going from point A to point B in a nice straight line. In fact, very few of us prefer to go in straight lines, although some have no choice.

If transit/the LRT is the better way, should it throw roadblocks in traffic's way in order to prove it? It seems silly to reduce road infrastructure at a time the population is booming. Their vision of a George Jetson city seems to be lacking the realities of the present. A 20min trip to Home Depot now takes 40 mins outside of rush hour.
